Hollywood-level Video Production for Everyone!

From the very first day of my agency life, I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro as a daily driver. Although my agency is small, I have two full-time video editors including me. All of us rely on this single tool for editing videos. Even if we need to use any animation or VFX on our video, we can easily do that with another Adobe tool named After Effects. Since all of the tools by Adobe works seamlessly among them, I don't have to worry about compatibility. This video editor fully supports my Nvidia GPU lineup and it can harness the maximum potential of the GPU. So, my rendering time has decreased a lot and I can easily deliver the final product within the deadline.

PROS

Adobe Premiere Pro is the best video editor in the market right now. I am pretty confident about my statement because I have already used almost all the alternatives. I tried to get used to some other video editing software initially, but every time I got back to Adobe Premiere Pro. The software is quite easy to use. Besides, it gives me the flexibility to customize the editing panel. I use a multi-monitor setup and I can get the best out of my mammoth setup using this software. I have to use various Adobe products on a daily basis in my agency, this is why I found this tool quite easy to learn. The UI and the core principle are similar to Photoshop and Illustrator. Also, the integration of this tool with my workflow is outstanding. I can use the Adobe Creative Cloud to sync my progress among multiple devices. Overall, no matter what I am doing about video production, I will not be able to live without this magic tool.

CONS

While Adobe Premiere Pro is more than perfect, there are some things that I think can be improved. The color grading panel can be a bit more developed. I really like the color grading panel of DaVinci Resolve. So, if they can make the panel a bit better it would be awesome. I know there are a lot of templates available on the internet for Premiere Pro. But if Adobe can make an official repository of user-submitted templates and effects, that would be highly beneficial for the new users. Sometimes, the integration with GPU drivers can be a bit troublesome. This should be made more seamless and easier.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

I was thinking of using Filmora because some of my friends said it is much easier to use. Besides, I will get preinstalled templates with that. While the statement is true and it has some advantages over the Premiere Pro, I still decided to stick with the Adobe software. It's because the Premiere Pro is currently considered the industry standard for video production. Also, I didn't notice any drop in video quality in adobe Premiere Pro while exporting my videos into different formats. The customer support of the Adobe team is superb and I found it more suitable for my agency.

A great and capable video editor, with flexibility and ease of use.

Overall, Adobe Premiere is a great video editing program and is fairly enjoyable to use. As long as your hardware and other specs are up to what they should be, there are minimal stability issues, and it performs pretty great, in my experience. I've tried several other video editing programs, and Adobe Premiere has remained my program of choice for several years now. The ease of use and getting started, the ability to customize my interface into a layout that works really well for me, and the ability to handle multiple types of media types without issue are just some of the features that I love. There is a large community of users that is easy to get support and tips/tricks from, as well as Adobe's support, which have always been responsive and helpful for me. While there are things that it could do better, as a whole it works really well with my workflow and video editing requirements.

PROS

I really like how quickly I can get started editing with this program. I edit a lot of short form, fairly simple videos, and I like how I can just open the app, import my media, and get started. There's not a lot of hoops to jump through, and not a lot of setup that needs to be done just to get going. I love how easy it is to import a wide variety of media types. I rarely have issues with all the different types of media I work with. I love how quick and easy the timeline editing tools are, and using the keyboard shortcuts to quickly move back and forth and get a quick edit together before refining it further. The interface is also pleasant to work in, and not overly crowded or cluttered.

CONS

I often wish that the keyframe editing window and workflow were though out a little better. I find it difficult to use and get them accurately placed and edited without some frustration most times. The keyframe workflow in After Effects is so much better and easier to use, and I feel like the workflow in Premiere is just so much more tedious then it needs to be. I also get frustrated with the audio mixing interface and workflow. Working with audio plugins and automation always gives me issues, and using EQs and compressors and what not are mildly frustrating at best. I don't understand why they can't lay out a mix window the same way that almost everyone else does. I get that it's not an audio program, but audio is a major part of video editing, and it shouldn't be this difficult to get a good mix inside the editor.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

Apple was phasing out Final Cut Studio 7 and releasing Final Cut X, and I preferred Adobe Premiere over the new Final Cut.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

Apple was phasing it out and I didn't like the new version.

Industry standard, but shouldn't be the default choice.

I use Premiere as a badge to demonstrate my company is on par, if not exceeding industry standards. Often times, I mention we use Premiere. I never commit to saying we ONLY use Premiere. Most of our work is performed on Final Cut Pro. Our results are always above expectation. When a client asks for working files, I lower the boom on them about FCPX. Often times, they're flummoxed that anything other than Adobe Premiere could create that level of quality output.

PROS

The biggest advantage of Premiere is the acceptance of it as the industry standard. Mastering Premiere is more likely to land you jobs, gigs, etc and establish your credibility as a seasoned editor. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the best editor on the market

CONS

Adobe is notorious for overcomplicating simple steps and actions. Layer upon layer upon layer of diving into specifications of a specific piece of footage/animation/etc becomes tedious and time consuming. I liken it to Adobe = Windows vs let's say Final Cut Pro = Mac. One is more hierarchy-based organization that lacks in usability while the other accomplishes the same tasks quicker and more efficiently BECAUSE of a focus on user experience.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

I didn't. I simply use it as a checkbox to avoid confusing conversation when explaining my company's level of competency. When required, we use Premiere on a basic level. Then, we often export the XML into Final Cut Pro and add additional editing from there.

Powerful Product

This product is used every day but our reporters to import their field captured video to edit for their news packages. We use custom sequences and export preset in our organization.

PROS

It is well supported and considered the industry standard application for video editing.

CONS

The only thing I could say that I like least about this product is the ongoing issue of performance degradation that seems to come with each update. We use powerful editing computers and ever since 2024 version it has performed much more slowly.

The Premiere Video Editing Suite

Adobe Premiere Pro opens up a world of opportunities for those aspiring to video production, beyond the average basic video editing software. I have seen students who felt proud of their productions using other platforms literally transform their previous videos after three weeks of class. Premiere Pro can be complicated at first if you do not have guidance, but the sheer volume of enthusiasts creating educational content on Youtube, aided by tons of blog posts and Adobe's very stright-to-the-point tutorials on their help site means that your answers aren't far away. Now on the negative side, there are the hardware requirements... Make sure that you take note of these. Many people bypass the impact of having a great video card, and that can be detrimental. Adobe's products do not play well with older video cards. I'm due to spend a pretty penny on an upgrade soon. As far as this math buff sees it, this is a simple equation. Excellent product + Excellent community + Excellent support = WIN!

PROS

The power of Premiere Pro, as a part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is, in my humble opinion, unmatched for users outside of the film industry. This is aside from the power of the software itself, which allows you to leverage most of the power of your creativity to produce videos, across operating systems.

CONS

The method of distribution of the software to users in the Caribbean leaves much to be desired. It inspires a significant amount of piracy because... people recognise the power of the tool. It should be easier for us to legally purchase it. The last update also deprecated a long list of video cards, and with the cost of those items since the pandemic, you're going to spend a pretty penny on hardware upgrades if, like me, you were caught.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

I felt that Premiere Pro gave the best mix of cross Operating System (OS) functionality, cost and power. I am natively a Windows user who wanted to move to Mac, and didn't have the ability to do both immediately. When I learned Premiere Pro, it meant that I could take my editor over to the new OS when I switched.

A complete path for editors: Easy for beginners, yet so powerful it is used in pro environments.

As educators, we care about getting quick results. Adobe Premiere Pro offers not only that, but also a path to a professional career in broadcasting, media, and professional video creation.

PROS

This review is from an educational perspective. In our school, we love the fact that students can start learning with simple projects and evolve as they master new techniques and new challenges arise. Importing video clips has become quite intuitive in the latest versions with a renewed emphasis in "starting to create right away". Editing and adding titles is easy, with the assistance of Creative Cloud integration, libraries, and Adobe Sensei helping too. The exporting experience has also changed, adapting to common standards in social media formats besides the usual professional outputs Premiere Pro is known for. Premiere Pro is a well known non linear editor, and as such, the amount of educational resources is quite profuse. The abundance of educational material directly from Adobe and other sources helps new users get results quickly. Also, Premiere Pro has no issues providing the same experience in both Windows and Macs (now with Apple Silicon support)

CONS

Just a minor thing: Unless the subscription for Premiere Pro is bought separately, the app is tied to a subscription model that includes design apps you may not need. This may not be a problem for the majority of users, as we often need to review or adapt assets created in Illustrator or Photoshop.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere is a standard in the industry, easier learning path.

My favorite video editing software with professional features

I am using Abobe premiere pro for my youtube content creation. It is so exciting me everyday with ease of its workspace and accuracy. The flow of editing is quite easy. The project files doesnot need much space while saving. And it is one of the best software for video editing across the world and used by many professionals in film making.

PROS

Its user interface and customisable workspace is the best thing about premiere pro. And it has various export options there. Many default plugins were professionally used.

CONS

Software crashes some time on overload, so that the content might be deleted. It is the only concern in this software I worried about.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

the project file occupies enormous space while saving.

It's more impressive than I thought at beginning

I start using the software since the v 3.0 of what was only called Premiere and considered a toy for editing, Then I migrated to another editing software considered the standard for editing but I never give up the use of Premiere then its giant brother Premiere Pro. I think that the giant leap happened when the movie Avatar was created with Adobe products. Anyhow the chance to detach any panel of the UI and make your custom workspace it's important as well as little innovation like having audio meter in the track and more. If do you have to start editing I suggest Premiere Pro because it's more intuitive than others besides you can also run it in almost any machine with little problems, while others such as Avid needs very specific requirements and if you don't buy their machine very often their support ignore your issue. I remember I used Premiere Pro 2.0 in a very old office PC. Enjoy editing, it's a great work!

PROS

The UI is very easy and clean that is a must for me, besides the integration with other products such as Audition, Photoshop, etc. make it more flexible than other software. It has anything you need to make a good work from low level to cinema quality

CONS

The use in cloud is not my preferred way of working. No specific annoyance except you cannot direct import project from DaVinci Resolve and so far Blackmagic raw file format is not native accepted but you have to use a plugin created by the black magic.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

I use both but DVR is more complicated to use and less performant with low budget PC.

It's a robust video editing software

It provides advanced functionalities that enable me to edit videos with ease & flexibility. I highly recommend it.

PROS

I like Premier Pro because of its comprehensive video editing tools. It offers a wide array of tools that allow trimming, cutting, ting, and arranging elements with precision and control. It also provides other advanced editing features like keyframe animation, advanced color-grading, and multi-camera editing, which are all essential for creating quality grading videos. In the beginning, it might appear challenging but becomes very easy over time. Among the few Adobe tools that I've tried out, Premiere Pro appears to be the simplest one.- It also helps to make tweaks to audio from other sources like adding effects (reverbs, panning, and equalizing them properly).

CONS

- Fast rendering fully relies on the GPU acceleration to be effective and this requires the PC to be highly performant.- Encoder comes in a separate state which can be quite stressful to install.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

Works well but lacks many advanced features -That's why I consider Premier Pro as a better option

Adobe Premiere Pro makes video editing as easy as eating pie

Adobe Premiere Pro is great for video and audio editing and offers multiple output versions which helps us to reduce the size of output video. Great software!

PROS

I had previously used other software to edit videos and switching to Adobe Premiere Pro was so easy. One of the features I love using is DeNoise (noise reduction feature). Most of the videos we shoot are on the road and this software helps us reduce the noise while maintaining audio quality.

CONS

If you are new to video editing, Adobe Premiere Pro is one hell of a software. The learning curve is so high, you may need to watch multiple tutorial videos to improve your knowledge.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

Inshot wasn't proving a wide range of features like Adobe Premiere Pro does.

One Of The Best Video Editing Softwares

Overall my experience with Adobe Premiere Pro has been very good because of my many years of using it. It allows me to edit videos for my YouTube channel, for business or even for mobile apps like Instagram or Tik Tok. It takes some getting used to because of its overwhelming configurations but when you use it more and more you start to feel more comfortable.

PROS

The best thing about this software is its multi-purpose use. If you're a new video editor that's making funny videos for your friends or someone making a short film for a festival Adobe Premiere Pro is qualified for both. Professionals can use it knowing they have a lot of functions to create the vision they've been putting in their head, including special effects, animations, tracking shots, etc... But if you're just looking to create a small montage of video and pictures for a school project Premiere Pro allows you to do just that. It sounds cheesy but really the only limit this software has is your imagination, although that is to say that this is more specific to editing videos and not making special effects (which there are more specialized programs for things like that)

CONS

What I liked least about this is just how complicated it can be for a novice or even an intermediate user. Because there's so many things that you can do in this program there's a lot of options that can be toggled or opened that could make the software do things that maybe you don't want to do. Even accidentally pressing a single key on your keyboard could do something and now you're unsure how to revert back because you don't know what you did. It's also not very easy on the eyes as a beginner because there's just so many options and windows on screen that it almost gives a bit of anxiety to someone who just wants to put a few clips together for a YouTube video.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

I made the switch initially because Premiere Pro gave me more creativity with how I wanted to edit videos. iMovie is a more simplistic video editor software that is mainly for Apple, and I was looking for something with a bit more options and one that was compatible with both Apple and Windows.

Probably the best product if you need more than basic features

I have tried several times alternative applications, but I have to admit that I always came back to Premiere Pro. When I tried other applications, at some point I was confronted to some limitations, where Premiere Pro wasn't. If you only need basic editing tools and don't edit regularly, you'd better acquire another product that you'll pay once and will be cheaper than Premiere Pro. But if you want to go a bit further in the editing and be sure to have almost all the tools under the hand, I'll highly recommend to use Adobe Premiere Pro.

PROS

High level of tools in many domains (video, image, audio editing...).Not the best, but very good level already of Color editing thanks to the integrated LuminatiQuite good stabilisation tool.Export very powerful for many output purpose.Regular new features and updates (but of course you pay for it each month...)

CONS

Drastic changes in the general layout sometimes (But only when main updates occurs, so not so often).Still expensive unless you have a regular use of it.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

The same reason I did the switch. Premiere Pro is more complete than the other Products on the market.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

Other products don't have as many options and tools as Premiere Pro offers.

So my overall experience is amazing with Premiere pro , so as a freelancer i do a lot of video editing jobs , and some of them are from my permanent customers , and with the help of premiere pro i was able to do all the things that my clients have asked till date . It helped me alot to boost my career as a freelancer . And the most important feature is it's collaboration feature where i can work with my team in real time

PROS

So, talking about the things i like most about this software are, first of all it has a wide variety of format support so you can easily edit video in almost any format. Secondly, it has tons of video editing tools which can performs basic to basic and complex to complex tasks , even they are also bringing some features of automation, like we can automatically get frame cuts , on scene Changes withoout doing it manually , and at last in premiere pro we can work on multiple projects and switch between them seamlessly and also a whole team can work on a single project in real time

CONS

Although there are no things which are bad in this software , but if i have to point out something , then firstly , adobe now only have monthly subscriptions and we cant purchase the software for lifetime unlike past times and secondly as premiere pro is a very advanced software so it can be difficult and time consuming for new users to get used to it.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

The filmora was a good software but it was made for basic editing but my clients were requiring more complex and personalized editing with different effects which made me switch to premiere pro

Adobe Premiere Pro Is Simply The Best!

I get gigs from companies and individuals, asking me to edit their promotional videos, also local artists looking to make music videos. Premier Pro helps me deliver what is exactly required of the video, allowing me to be creative and execute as is, at very good video quality. It just brings everything to life and I really enjoy editing with it and get lost doing it, forgetting that there is more to life. Its a great experience, especially when you know how to navigate it.

PROS

I like that It allows you to edit any footage, either from your phone or a professional camera. It has a variety of tools that allows your creativity to go on another level, from making cool music videos with VHS effects, to filmmaking editing, all done by the same editing software. I like that with the tools that it has, it is relatively affordable.

CONS

I hate that the software can not be just used on any pc, it needs very strong computer specs and its RAM is massively high, you need at least 8G Ram to get it to work properly on your pc but it isn't fast enough when rendering. Secondly, it sucks that you have to pay subscriptions for, though they may be low. It is highly complex for people who aren't professional video editors. I used to spend hours on YouTube trying to understand how to navigate around the whole thing. There are still some features or tools I am not familiar with but I can confidently say I know my way around the software after a long struggle.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

It simply doesn't have a variety of tools and features that Premier Pro has.

A great mid-weight video editor!

Overall, I've been quite pleased with Adobe Premiere Pro. It does what I need it to do and is easy for a beginner to pick up and learn. This is my go-to software for all video editing!

PROS

I like how intuitive Adobe Premiere Pro is to use. If you've used any other Adobe software in the past, a lot of the logic and UI carries over. For example, even though they perform slightly different functions, you're given a move tool and a type tool, just like in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop, etc. The best feature that Premiere Pro has to offer is the ability to nest objects/sequences. Nesting allows me to create mini sequences within my sequence, which makes it easier for me to edit on a micro-level and then place the overall larger project together.

CONS

My least favorite aspect of Adobe Premiere Pro is the segmentation of features. Some features are hidden in certain areas of the software, and are hard to find. For example, modifying text positioning needs to be done in the graphics tab under the text setting, but this can also be done using the motion feature elsewhere in the program. Both have nearly similar results but different outcomes. I also am not a huge fan of the subscription-based Adobe model. I'd rather pay a larger fee for the product up-front and then own it outright.

Reasons for switching to Adobe Premiere Pro

I switched from iMovie to Adobe Premiere Pro because I wanted something a little more robust.

A very powerful tool, but maybe a bit complicated for beginners

I've been using this editing software for almost 7 years, and all I could say is that is a great software in which you can import or create fantastic animations/ transitions / titles. It's totally friendly with the Adobe ecosystem. And if you got a very descent, or high quality hardware (16gb RAM at least), you'll have professional results. But in case you're a newcomer, you must know it might not be so easy to use at first. All you can do is practice, or look for a course/guide. Don't worry, it'll work out!

PROS

Premiere Pro is almost like everyone's main editing software, even Hollywood movies are sometimes edited here. That tells you a lot about its reputation. - It offers you almost endless possibilities of editing. - Works with proxies, so it becomes easier to edit if using heavy archives (it creates a low resolution archive of your original media but just for editing, so it saves memory and resources from your computer) - As it being part of the Adobe ecosystem, you can import or temporarily work with direct Photoshop, Audition, and more Adobe software projects. So you can be editing some audio at Audition, and then immediately head it over your Premiere project. And if there's something wrong, just go back to Audition without even closing any of the software, fix it, and then go back. Pretty quick and useful! - Frequent autosaving feature could save and entire night of work.

CONS

So, what's not so good about Premiere: - Compatibility of the archives: due to constant upgrades/ almost annual new versions, everytime you work on a newer version of Premiere, all of your current projects here won't be able to open on past editions, so it can be a bit of trouble. Specially if you're a beginner and not so aware of this kind of restrictions. For example, working on Adobe Premiere 2019 and changing the computer in which you'll continue editing? Better be sure you're having AP 2019, or posterior. Otherwise, you'll get stuck. - When you're new into this software, you might find it difficult to work with, due to the vast variety of options, customizable features, predetermined transitions and effects, and even the interface design might confuse you at first. - Also, being a high reputation editor, and offering so much as Premiere does, brings up a high cost subscription for the license. This could be kind of OK if it was a single payment, but unfortunately, it's paid monthly/annual. So it hits hard for those with not very high incomes (students, newcomers, freelancers, etc.) . -Despite the chance of being able to create a low quality archive for editing purposes (proxies), it still requires kind of high specifications for working on a very efficient way (not slowing down or freezing sometimes).

Has gotten better

PROS

Easier to pick up than After Effects and has a nicer user interface.

CONS

Premiere Pro is no stranger to crashing but has been pretty nicely optimized for M1 chips. Some features are not designed with efficiency in mind compared to other video editors such as the trimming functions. Adobe has some of the most inadequate customer support in existence.

Reason for choosing Adobe Premiere Pro

I am more used to Premiere Pro.

Top notch video editing software

PROS

Adobe Premiere Pro is a powerful video editing software that allows users to edit and create professional-grade videos. The program has many features, including support for 3D content creation, advanced audio effects, and handling, as well as seamless integration with Adobe After Effects. Some of the advantages of using Adobe Premiere Pro include its ability to be used on both Windows and macOS platforms, its user-friendly interface, as well as the wide range of features it offers. I've used it mainly for short-form video editing, with basic transitions, so it was pretty easy to use, but for advanced workflows, you need to have deep knowledge of the software.

CONS

Adobe Premiere Pro is a complex application that can be difficult to learn and use. It can also be expensive to buy and maintain. The thing I dislike the most is that you are forced to juggle around Premiere Pro and After Effects for advanced results. Fortunately, this is not my case, since I don't need advanced results, but it became really overwhelming.

Make a creative videos !

I used Adobe Premiere a lot to install advertising videos for medical products promoted by Indexa It helped me a lot in creating high-quality videos based on the installation of clips and images of products and the addition of interactive audio, and this was effective and my manager liked it very much. I used Adobe Premiere a lot to install advertising videos for medical products promoted by Indexa It helped me a lot in creating high-quality videos based on the installation of clips and images of products and the addition of interactive audio, and this was effective and my manager liked it very much.

PROS

What I love most about Adobe Premiere is that it provides very precise control that allows you to edit and create your videos exactly as you want, which is rare in other applications. I like the variety of tools that Adobe Premiere provides, such as clip transitions, which provide what content creators are looking for to create creative content. The modulation of the sound is completely flexible, allowing you to specify its appearance in the second you want

CONS

All the positive aspects of Adobe Premiere do not hide the fact that the application is very difficult for beginners and requires continuous training for a period not short of time to reach professionalism I think a little more simplification would make it more attractive

for editing pictures and intros

A great editing software for professionals

It is undoubtedly one of the best and most used video editing programs for professionals. If you are not a professional in the area, it may take a lot more work to be able to take advantage of it and to be able to use many of its functions. From my point of view, if you don't have any knowledge of video editing and rendering, you should opt for a simpler solution that allows you to get results faster, albeit with fewer options.

PROS

It is a great video editing software, it certainly allows you to generate completely professional results, it has all the necessary options for large-scale video editing. What I like the most: - Its interface is orderly, you can find the tools even though it has a great variety. - Its library of effects and transitions, both audio and video, is very complete. - The export options are super complete and customizable, you can set the output profile of your video in detail in every way - The timelines are very well thought out, you can adapt them to your editing needs and it allows you to work in detail, both with the video and the audio. - Audio editing seems to me to be better achieved than in other programs of its kind, it is simpler and more customizable. - It is compatible with other programs of the same brand, so media imports work correctly.

CONS

In my case, what I don't like about this program has to do with the learning curve for users who are not professionals on the subject, understanding that for a professional it could be advantages. - Longer learning curve than other programs of this type - Requires a large processing capacity and disk space - It requires more knowledge on the subject of videos, to be able to correctly configure many of its tools. - The cost is higher than other solutions - It seems to me that the rendering of the final video is slower than in other programs, although with better final results. - Being able to see the edition in preview in a fluid way requires a very good computer equipment.

Premiere Pro: Once the best choice, now just the lazy choice

Premiere Pro is a video editing software that every single professional has used. It's got industry recognition and up-and-coming artists are often pressured into using Adobe Suite, which means putting up with/shelling out for their monthly subscriptions, which are insane for people who just edit from time to time. If it's your full-time job, you can récup the money. If it's just for a weekly project, find something else like DaVinci Resolve that offers the same features for free!

PROS

Premiere Pro pretty much set the standard for how video editing software should look and feel. It's easy to use and you can be editing within a few minutes.

CONS

You can no longer purchase the software outright and must pay monthly subscription fees, which are limit robbery. It also doesn't offer any new, extraordinary features. Other software/newer software do the same thing for cheaper, or even free!
