It does a wide range of things and is easy to use.

I also needed to watch a few YouTube videos. I'm happy that they finally integrated the MP3 encoder.

If you are looking for a great solution for editing sound files, look no further than Audacity.

The most amazing part of audacity is that it is free and open-source and can be used on any OS, be it Windows, a macOS, or even GNU/Linux.

Available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux too. Great for mixing audios.

These are just the ones I used and can compare it with but I can say it is a very excellent app in comparison with the ones I mentioned.

This software is free which made it great for starters.

It didn't work well on my HP laptop, so I had to put the program on my computer which has faster programming and it seems to fix the issue.

It's limited compared to a DAW and we can't change audio on a video.

For the free software that it is, this software is a good alternative.

After 6 hours of editing and episode for my podcast, the files corrupted. I was devastated and so stressed out and frustrated I laid on my floor and cried.

From what I can tell, you cannot edit one side of a stereo file without editing another. My apologies if I am wrong, but it's the only thing I've noticed so far.

Audacity suffers from one of the ugliest graphical user interfaces out there. Contrast is poor, the blue-on-grey aesthetic is exhausting, and the icons are straight out of a clipart site from 1998.

I love that it allows you to have multiple tracks you can edit separately for FREE. As someone interested in podcasting, most of it is relatively intuitive.

For ware, its size to my utter disbelieves its a miracle worker.

It allows for really high-level audio editing and manipulation, and is free. Even though there’s no real customer support, you can find out how to do most things via a vast online wiki.

I've known of audacity since elementary school and have occasionally used it here and there to do a quick edit on my music files. Needless to say, I am happy with its simplicity.

Audacity is perfect for simple edits and audio clean ups. I use it for recording podcasts and tutorials and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple audio editor.

For instance, after the audio recording has stopped one would logically export it to a folder where it would be saved. But you have to press stop, even if the recording has stopped.

Ve primarily used Audacity for preparing recordings and other audio for film, and for this purpose it's great.

I like to record podcasts, radio dramas, etc. and was recommended this program as a free, good program for that purpose. It's an excellent deal for the money ($0).

Learning curve is slow and frustrating, specially if you want to work with different tracks.

In the case of separation,  more of a single track enclosed recording ware, where all the unwanted background noises are pre-eliminated or rather a sound aggregate for the video guy.

The interface is well designed and intuitive and the feature set is amazing, but what really sets it apart is the quality of the built-in effects and instruments.

I've been using Studio One mainly to record and I must say that the quality is good and I don't have latency issues like in other DAWs I've used.

It confused to learning at beginning especially for beginning, but once you get it, it make sense.

DDP import/export function for mastering. The learning curve is much easier than the competition and the interface is designed to make your job easier.

It has a comprehensive set of features including monophonic and polyphonic tracks, MIDI sequencing, an intuitive interface with drag-and-drop functionality, and 4-band parametric EQs.

I'm an audio engineer and producer, and I've been using Studio One for a few months now. I can say, without reservation, that it's the best DAW I've ever used.

Iam having a hard time deciding if there was something that I don't like about it.

The ability to record in 64bit is a great feature for high resolution audio Production.

The only downsides (and they aren’t major) are non-“core” features lack a certain depth, and new features tend to go a number of cycles without improvements.

Interfaces easy to customize, the plugins are of very good quality.

The software has some bugs which interrupt the software during sessions. I had this problem on version 5.

Studio One very occasionally crashes upon launch, which is a little frustrating, and I'm unclear why this sometimes happens.

Great User Interface and intentional design has greatly improved my workflow. I am getting more done that spending on learning the software.

It's a great software and I love the development they are making to it and including it in a Presonus recording gear bundle is just amazing.

I like studio one for my demo projects before taking them to our local recording studio who also runs studio one. I can load up the same project and it’s like I never left the house.
