Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like the general layout and integration with MainStage, and ease of use with 3rd party VSTs. Logic is affordable and is a great 1st DAW to learn on, and is many people’s DAW of choice.
- I love that the software is both incredibly accessible and extremely powerful. Students who have dabbled with GarageBand before can pick up Logic very quickly.
- No doubt it's greatly improved my quality of compositional music, & it's great for mixing as well. Having used other DAW's for composition; this HANDS down is one of the best in the market today.
Cons
- The only downsides I have encountered are a few software glitches, including a problem when exporting audio.
- However as a professional audio engineer who uses Pro Tools quite a bit for mixing and editing, this is one of the weaknesses of Logic.
- There is no windows version and you can't work with the plugin you I bought them before for other software you need the Mac version to work.
Pros
- The Vegas Pro is brilliant and professional and is a great tool for my business work.
- A big window for multiple audio tracks makes it quite easy to work. The interface is user-friendly and the tools are awesome.
- I liked how there are keyboard shortcuts for tools. The interface is really clean and straight forward.
Cons
- Every year it causes enormous frustration and outrage due to having scheduled failures.
- Mov files are obsolete and always related to Quicktime which they are doing away with. It is my understanding that.
- Some advanced manipulations are difficult, and in regard to free transitions and such, options are slightly limited. I can't say much else is a dislike.
