It also offers an easy way of recording when workpapers are completed and reviewed and approved and when audit recommendations are implemented. I appreciate that it sends automated reminders to those who have tasks assigned to them, as well as automatic notifications when issues, recommendations, and reports are available for them to view. This task automation cuts down on the amount of time I have to spend manually sending these out. #### Cons I find TeamMate to be very glitchy at times, with work sometimes not being saved. I love the email notifications for workpaper reviews. Customer support is super helpful whenever I reach out to them for an issue. It's great for audit process management. Teammate is a really good value for our organization and ensuring our company is in compliance with industry standards and also internal standards. #### Cons The TeamInsights reports could be improved and I would suggest more customization of reports. It took a couple years but we are up and running well with auditors keeping their TM materials current and powerBIs connected to TM are leveraged daily to report on status, ease reporting to SMT and audit committee. We refresh our risk assessment annually which includes the adding or removing of auditable units. - The lack of reports automatically available. Those that are available are subpar. - The user guide is significantly lacking with regards to rolling the risk assessment and moving incomplete audit projects forward. - No good place to insert procedure guidance - if link to the procedure, then the guidance requires sign-off each time. This issue was raised in the initial setup phase (done by TM Technical team in Feb'2024). It offers very nice organization and a layout that just makes logical sense. Given these qualities it makes organizing and maintaining audit files that much easier. #### Cons The one thing that I did not like about TeamMate is the trouble I have had with the check in/checkout feature. Various instances, I have had TeamMate not respond to button clicks for checking out or checking in. Additionally, I have had issues where I edit a document, check in that document, and the check in does not register despite TeamMate telling me it did. TeamMate helps keep audit projects organized and makes it easy to schedule projects from your audit plan. The feature I like the most is the ability to document risks throughout the agency. TeamMate provides a great overall picture that can be presented to management and the Audit Committee. #### Cons We have not encountered any issues with the product or any features that we would like to see added. I have reviewed their Community Forum and found it to be a great tool when questions do arise. #### Reasons for switching to TeamMate Audit The software we were using was not made for auditing purposes. TeamMate has really helped organize our work papers and segregation of duties with work paper review. Overall, I would say our team is satisfied with the product and will continue to use it. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros TeamMate is a great one stop shop for all things Audit. It keeps work papers very organized, has inherited segregation of duties (one person has to create a work paper, another review, another approve etc.). Its interface is very easy to navigate, and you can copy/paste/edit audit program templates to save time as well. Overall, I would say the department is very happy with it. #### Cons There were 2 major cons to TeamMate from our perspective. First, when you deleted a work paper in your procedures area, the link still stayed live in the references so it makes the references section messy and inaccurate unless you manually delete it there as well. Second, when we wanted to share our work papers with our external auditors, it makes it a bit difficult.
