It is a fast and reliable solution for backing up cloud services/websites. We mostly run a scheduled backup each day proactively in case of hacker attacks or before we enable new features in the existing website interface.

Apart from the lack of direct support with the manufacturer I cannot think of any other disadvantages.

Backup Guard has been a big help, it makes backing up/migrating WordPress sites WAY easier than doing it manually! Even if you know how to do it manually, plugins like Backup Guard really make the process way more efficient!

The ease of use was key to deciding on Backup Guard, other plugins we tried either didn't work or were a pain setting up.

More compatibility with older versions of PHP would be helpful, but not sure if that's doable on your guys' end.

I have used, tried to use, BG for over a year and have been completely frustrated by the lack of ease of use and almost non existent support. I’m not disgruntled but disappointed. I’ve tried forums, online chat with BG techs but never get a resolution. I constantly feel like they are just trying to close the ticket. I’m actively looking for a new options. The Silver Level didn’t mean anything.

I’ve appreciated how easy it is to install the plugin.

You dont need to do any amendments on the URL after the migration is done. If you need any support, Backup-Guard support team is always ready to help, troubleshoot and solve the problem quickly.

We faced some problems with the migration but after investigation, it was due to the server specs and load that happen during the migration. But it was solved after the support team interfere and update the code to meet the server speed and memory.

Based on my experience, overall I like the software and I recommend it. It's reliable and support is always at your doorsteps.

I have used BackupGuard for more than 2 years now. I have moved hosting twice and used this app many times when I moved my websites. One time my website crashed but fortunately, I had a backup and I was able to restore it fast. Usage of the plugin is easy. With only a couple of clicks, you can backup your entire site, including its database. There us also an option to upload your backup files to your cloud storage like OneDrive and Dropbox. This is helpful especially if your storage on your hosting is limited. Another thing that makes this app stand out is its customer support. If you are on the same time zone, you can get a fast response. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has always provided good support. Price is reasonable and competitive.

The only thing I don't like is that, it keeps on asking the username and password every now and then. Although this is not something that is a major issue, but hopefully it could be fixed.

It was unbelievable they can offer a good backup for WordPress with comprehensive features and several cloud destinations with such a low price. It is still low price currently. I bought it as lifetime deal when they begin launching. I even expected with that price, there would be some glitches in backing up to cloud storages, or while restoring, in early stages. There wasn't any error in all supported cloud storages at that early time.

Perhaps there would be some errors in some hosting environments. Performance might not be top-notch and user interface may not be so grand. There may be some problems while backing up very large sites. But it works as it intended.

Jet has been a solid WordPress plugin company for as far back as I can remember. They do not just put junk out there and put their name on it hoping people will buy it they put out a solid product which keeps them as one of the best plug-in companies on WordPress in my book

it is really easy to set-up and I pay an annual subscription so have never had to worry about backups and maintaining my sites.

Backup-Guard is easy to use and reliable. My weekly full-site backups are scheduled and backup a copy automatically to the cloud. I also get a confirmation email. I have also used the software to migrate websites to new servers and it worked every single time.

I don't think there is anything I can complain about. It does what it claims to and does it well.

We used this plugin to backup two different wordpress websites. It was very painless to use and set up.

The scheduling was simpler and had less options than I am used to. This is kind of an all or nothing, once a time period backup.

Backup-Guard was an ideal choice, because it involves minimal set-up and runs regular back-ups automatically. Our company website contains a huge amount of information on travel to more than 100 countries worldwide, and having to replace it if the site crashed doesn't bear thinking about. It's great to have a fuss-free piece of software which would save us that headache if it ever happened.

Nothing exceptional. I use the product, it makes a backup of my website, that's it. I've not had to restore a backup to this date. (knocking on wood)

It will handle the backup of my website automaticallly.

WordFence for WordPress does interfere with making backups. I disable it, to make backups. Perhaps there is another workaround for this, but I have not found one.

The software is easy to use and password protected which allows us to secure the backups. I love that the backups are deleted as new backups are created (you can select how many to keep)

I once had to export a rather large site file (8GB+) and the plugin had difficulty with the process and required us to repeat the process a few times.

I don't really recommend using a backup guard for any business related-puproses. I have nothing against this company, but the tool is not suitable for restoring large data and causes a lot of fatal migration errors. It didn't work well for me.

I tried out this plugin for 2-3 months and this didn't just work as I expected. It is kind of nice because it offers remote server backup options and backup scheduling too. These features are quite important for website performance and saving time too.At least I like the fact that they offer free lifetime services for students (even though it's limited)

the technical support service department is never there when you need them. The software is not even easy to use like a few similar ones I work tried out and the best one I use today.The pricing option is not worth the quality of this tool.It keeps reporting error messages each time I tried to import files greater than 1GB in size.

I wish it did not have so many timeouts - not matter how much we tweak the server it times out - however, when it works, it works great.

Even with tweaking server settings, more times than not, the software does not run as there is always a PHP timeout.

I like the pricing structure. I am licensed for unlimited websites so the initial investment was with it. Makes it easy to even backup and restore test instances and file level backup and restore.

I feel like it is a lesser known software and it is not the industry standard. I’m not sure what I’m missing but other users really seem to like Updraft Plus.
