If someone is looking for a barber on booksy you will be an option. Great for new or existing barbers. Booksy makes it very easy to organize your day and allows for a coherent days plan. Booksy is very affordable for the value that you get in return. It’s a very easy platform to learn to use and is a very secure system regarding the barber and clients privacy. The app has built in marketing tools, and promotion features to remind your clients about upcoming appointments and to remind the barber about cancellations, etc. The app is very customizable in regards to cancellation fees, text reminders, and more. Booksy is great. #### Cons The 30% ( $10 minimum ; $100 maximum) boost feature commission. But in reality, it doesn’t work out that way. Because you have to fight for your referrals that your own clientele referred to you. They always try to take a cut of every new Client. I had even if they did not give it to me. After 35 years I’m capable of getting my own clientele, but they said and I quote.. “they don’t recognize referrals.” I did recommend it to a colleague of mine who was a new stylist and she has had a good experience on it because she will gain new Client from it and she doesn’t have to fight them because she wasn’t in my situation where she had been doing her for a very long time getting referrals from clients. So I would say this works for a new stylist, but not somebody who is already pretty much booked, but just looking for a new client here and there. #### Cons Having to fight for my money. And not getting it more than half of the time. I am currently using a different app and I am not having this problem at all. #### Reasons for choosing Booksy Biz I didn’t choose Booksey. I was already with a company prior to 2020. But it’s sold to Booksey. So Booksey bought me basically and they could not keep me happy. I felt like Booksey has greed. I really liked that Booksy noticed I was having to many no shows or last minute cancellations , which means I wasn't getting paid. Booksy offered me to turn on my " No show protection" to protect myself from no shows and also get paid. What I REALLY loved the most since I am one of those people who sit there and say " what should I say? How do I start?" booksy explains all the rules to your clients for you!
