Pros/Cons
Pros
- Great assistance from Altyrex - committed resources at no cost to help implement, train etc. A lot of willingness to help us 'prove' the business case - i.e. make a success of the pilot project.
- It is great for setting up workflows that help us organize, reformat and clean up data we use in other applications and exports.
- Very useful to automate manual workflows with repetitive tasks. Python Integration helps to ease out the process.
Cons
- Nothing much I dislike, the only thing I disliked is that we have to use visual tool to view data every time, that slows the running time of the workflow.
- Costly license limits the use. Requires training for getting used to it.
- Perhaps having a pop up to show where the error lies in your work.
Pros
- It is also excellent all the integrations you can do with systems, the cloud, etc. The data transformation module I find wonderful how fast it is, even with large amounts of information.
- Having switched from excel recently, Microsoft Power BI has been of great help. Having good visuals for data is a plus to us as an organization for they help do comparisons at a glance.
- It has a lot of powerful features and potentials in showing data and making nice graphs/tables to show the facts/numbers that you want. It works way better and is way more efficient than Excel.
Cons
- Additionally, there are times that my computer struggles to keep up with the program causing it to become non-responsive or crash.
- The dashboards and reports are limited in visual design, so they all look the same and quite ugly.
- Some find it too complicated to use and are intimidated by the format. I have not been able to find training for management on how to use a report that someone else with PowerBI skills created.
