The Perfect Tool for Some

I have been using Captivate since before it was even called Captivate. Each time a new version comes out I immediately update the program. I am self-taught, but thanks to so many helpful people via YouTube and LinkedIn Learning, as well as the Adobe discussion board, I can find help when I need it. It is a truly flexible authoring tool.

PROS

Adobe Captivate lets you create everything eLearning (including VR, responsive courses, software simulations, interactive videos, and branched scenario courses. You can also turn a PPT in to interactive content ( although I have never found this helpful). I prefer to use their ready-to-go slides as template guides.

CONS

Captivate has a steep learning curve. I suggest taking training in the program as opposed to trying to teach it to yourself. It is very helpful to have a guide who knows the ropes.
