Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • Best thing ever if you are doing any type of research whether it's just for fun, a project or something for work its great for everything. Completely free and it's very easy to use.
  • Overall we've been really happy. Considering that it's free, and integrates with everything, and lets a non-technical founder like myself get something up and running quickly, it's amazing.
  • Its easy to integrate to your digital marketing assets, have lots of supporting documentation for help, a strong user community and full features for free.
  • Cons

  • The major downside for me is the lack of user support. It's difficult to get an answer (or atleast a quick answer) to issues with Analytics which can be frustrating.
  • It has a pretty bad UI/UX. Its feels horrible to navigate and is a chore to implement it, we need a specialist only to set it up so everyone can get the data.
  • I followed a detailed step-by-step tutorial to set up Google Analytics. But even after repeating the whole process to exclude any possible mistakes, it is not working for me.

  • Pros

  • Visually impressive, and easy to use interface. Best suited for power users to drag/drop dimensions and create their own versions of dashboards.
  • The overall purpose of this software is super awesome and I think the goals and points if applied right make a lot of sense. This would be so helpful in the business setting if it was easier to use.
  • One of the most useful and professional data visualization tools in the market. You can create beautiful and informative charts easily, as long as you have reliable data quality.
  • Cons

  • This error code keeps popping up "Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source. No such table" when we switch between worksheets.
  • It is difficult to navigate and get started on the platform. Requires some training before you can be let loose on the platform and create your own reports.
  • The support we pay for is almost worthless. We frequently solve the problem ourselves and it is time consuming to submit everything via their helpdesk with nothing to show for it.
