Pros/Cons
Pros
- Hevo won our lengthy product comparison against other leading tools like Stitch Data, Fivetran, Matillion, etc. They provide best-of-breed usability, scale, reliability and latency.
- If you need an easy way to bring some data into your data warehouse, I definitely recommend going with Hevo. They are a great value, have good documentation, and are easy to use.
- The customer service is great, they were always ready to help, very kind. Great sources opinions, to integrate with and to use as destination.
Cons
- Occasionally, it happened that integrations are not working the first time you set them up. Generally, adding the pipeline again to the system does the trick.
- Sometimes, the transformations from the raw connectors can be a bit confusing and it requires heavy understanding of the source.
- Sometimes it seems difficult on changing the import table.
Pros
- The knowledge from other products is transferable. The documentation is amazing (one probably cannot understand how good without the experience).
- They have been a great company to work with. They are very transparent, quick to response, have awesome support and great training.
- Overall it is user-friendly, easy to develop & deploy, secure ELT for big data use cases. It supports a lot of already built useful connectors, which helps to reduce marketability cost and time.
Cons
- Sometimes the error logs are not very descriptive so it can be hard to debug at times.
- Lack of version control for the ETL code is a problem.
- Restricting the number of user can access Matillion, Lot's of time huge data set get stuck and fail with many other issues lastly better full log specifically for Developer to debug the issues.
