Still enjoying I FTTT and will continue to use it going forward. If you were looking for a simple integration tool, the free version works very well. Paid versions have even more and perform extremely well.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Continues to be one of the most diverse and robust integrations apps. I have used for social media. Also the automations for emails text messaging and personal needs has been great.

#### Cons

Still a little quirky for creating an integration, but once it is set up, it works very well. Had a challenge when I switched phones to create a profile.

#### Reasons for switching to IFTTT

Price and ease of use.

It is an awesome tool that has saved us enormous amount of time and has allowed us to automate huge part of our day-to-day tasks

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

With IFTTT "recipes" we were able to automate nearly 50% of our daily processes. From simultaneous posting to archiving (moving files in google drive) to logging (keep track of every change at a google spreadsheet) we were able to automate every repetitive task in our organization.

#### Cons

Sometimes the service stops working (ie when you change your password to any connected platform you need to re-autorize IFTTT) and it might take a while before you realise it.

#### Reasons for choosing IFTTT

We actually use both. Zapier is more expensive so we you IFTTT for most of our repetitive tasks

IFTTT is a very easy-to-use automation tool. I primarily employ it for personal use, especially when I need to organize some repetitive tasks I'm afraid to forget.

#### Cons

While IFTTT integrates with many services, some niche ones might be not available. Not an issue for me, but keep that in mind - check the compatibility before diving in.

The ability to integrate alot of our productivity tools (dropbox\Office\Skype\Zoom etc) with mobile device notifications has given greater visibility on things that need our attention whilst out on the road or out of the office. IFTTT has a really intuitive UI meaning people with very limited technical skills can still get workflows running pretty quickly.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The ability to easily integrate multiple disparate applications with a no-code solution brings a massive amount of automation without the need for deep developer skills. Great for quick touch solutions or starter down a developer path

#### Cons

The product up until recently has been focus on consumer and light productivity solutions that does limit its applicability. Also the push notifications via SMS are extremely hit and miss.

#### Reasons for choosing IFTTT

The free entry tier meant we could test the integrations (3 free integrations) before we jumped on their subscription service. It was also really intuitive and quick to set the integrations up and a surprisingly diverse range of applications are supported.

### Automation for Everyone But Has Its Limits

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

IFTTT brings free automation/integrations to a huge variety of apps and offers a pretty straightforward user interface to do it, which makes it a great way for anyone to start using automation. One of the key benefits it has over some other popular automation platforms (aside from being free) is that it has a fully featured, native mobile apps for iOS and Google Play, and even the super helpful Apple Watch app. The big standouts benefits for me are the ability to work with iPhone stock apps in a direct manner, and the extensive list of supported home automation services, which many alternative platforms don't include.

#### Cons

IFTTT is better for home and lifestyle use than business use. It lacks support for a lot of enterprise software systems, and the ones it does support have fairly thin offerings for pre-built integrations/automations. The service, while free, also has been known to go out more frequently (and for extended periods of time) so it's not great for critical applications. The other big limitation is that IFTTT supports one-step automations, but anything needing conditional input or multiple steps can't be done directly in the app (although more savvy users can connect it to other apps to simulate that type of workflow).

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

I really like the possibility of integration and management of various platforms by connecting everything, I use it for loading and unloading management by integrating everything on trello and it allows me to always have everything under control

#### Cons

Perhaps among all that I find it a bit more difficult and the integration with some dokers not exactly straightforward which often leads me to a lot of online research to find the right way

While there could be more functionality, the options that are available in IFTTT are vast and allow for so many integrations between different software and programs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

IFTTT makes it easy to integrate different services. I use it to integrate google sheets with a IFTTT applet on my iPhone. It allows me to just click a button to log a timestamp for my work hours.

#### Cons

It would be nice if there was a little more customizability with the services in IFTTT. I have the Phillips Hue lights and I've found that the options in IFTTT are limited.

IFTTT was one of the first apps that really amused me. It lets you connect with over 700 services and devices and the creations are limitless. The community is really big, so you can learn and copy from others. It's better than Shortcuts.app from Apple.

#### Cons

iOS is a close system, so IFTTT have limits. That's the only "bad" thing Im going to say about this amazing software.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

IFTTT is very easy to use and was very easy to teach to my team. I have also gotten many of my friends back in Uganda to use IFTTT because of how it simplifies tasks.

#### Cons

IFTTT used to be free and I loved it. Then they came up with IFTTT Pro which threw me off because most small businesses like a free thing every once in a while. Regardless, the cost is not terribly high so my team continues to use it.

IFTTT recipes allow me to focus on my work rather than constantly check this or that or write myself a reminder to do x later. I use IFTTT for business and personal things and it keeps me productive and on-task while IFTTT does the work in the background.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5

#### Pros

TONS of apps available for recipes! I've been using IFTTT for about three years or so, and the app keeps growing and offering more options for users. They make it easy to set up by taking you step by step through the recipe creation process and even recommend recipes based on what's trending, what other recipes you've created, etc. I periodically receive an email from IFTTT with new recipe suggestions. Always new and creative ones!

#### Cons

If you're not careful, you can get lost in the rabbit hole of IFTTT recipes because there are so many! So this isn't actually a bad thing, but remember this app is to help you stay productive, so keep that in mind while browsing recipes.

### I could write this review, or I could probably get IFTTT to do it for me. :)

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I'd want to say that I've been using IFTTT before anyone else knew about it. Okay, maybe not "anyone", but I've been using it since they only had a few channels, and thought it was the best thing ever. I know there are now different competitors out there that charge you for usage, but IFTTT is the O.G. of the task automation and linking up actions of the Internet of Things (IOT). Super easy to configure, and possibilities are endless.

#### Cons

I've had some issues with IFTTT that the trigger wouldn't fire properly, but it's hard to pinpoint it to the software when it could be the case of hardware (in this case blink1).

Love this app. There are so many apps available to use in your applets and they seem to constantly add new ones. Also like that we have the choice of copying applets made by others, copying and then modifying those made by others, or building our own from scratch.

#### Cons

Would like a faster/more structured way to browse applets that others have made. Would also like to be able to get some kind of feedback/tips/help to figure out why some applets don’t seem to work or stopped working. Maybe that’s just a matter of a brief note or tip published by the creator (or anyone?) on the applet details page.

#### Cons

None. But, actions/triggers are limited to whatever is available by the software companies. So, can’t customize with additional coding, like zapier’s formatter. But I’m not a programmer and can barely write JavaScript

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It's easy to set up and use, and once you do, its automation is the most powerful out there. Any two things you want to link together can be done using this tool. Emails, notes, messages, home control, ordering a taxi, setting up alarms and reminders...you name it.

#### Cons

We are a small catering company that receives lots of inquiries every summer. I use my phone a lot to keep track of these calls and IFTTT is a helpful part of that toolkit. In combination with Pushbullet it allows me to sit at my desk and still catch incoming calls and text messages. I use it to keep a call log, turn on and off wifi when i leave the house, remind me and my team about impending rain (We need to keep our equipment covered and dry) and most importantly send my wife an email and text whenever my phone is below 15% battery. At the time a lot of these things seemed like frivolous extras, and now I can see that they are a a real benefit to my work flow. Perhaps the most important is when I need to call the work day to a close. My phone automatically switches into silent mode at 8:30pm every night except for nights we have events. In addition to f.lux on my computer this is a further indication that it is really time to go to sleep.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5

#### Pros

Free Recipes provided by others Works every time

#### Cons

recipes not that complex, need to make your own if you want more power (not really a con)
