  • Pros

  • It's very encouraging for the team to actually see progress over time in a chart, rather than just hearing/reading numbers.
  • It's really user friendly and easy to present or store data from other sources. It has a lot of chart types and ways for presenting data.
  • Cons

  • I dislike how long it can take certain reports in Looker to load.
  • This was very hard to configure for our company. We spent so much time and money but could never get it right.

  • In itself the efficiency gains of this has offset the adoption costs by a considerable amount.
  • Strong Technology, Great Support. Very easy self service capabilities enabling 3rd Gen BI.
  • Cons

  • The software's support model is horrific. Qlik uses value added resellers (aka VAR) for the most part.
  • Qlik has no idea what VARs are doing and VARs have no idea what Qlik is trying to tell them. Getting a license key correctly can take a few tries.
