Pros/Cons
Pros
- I would recommend it for anyone with large datasets that can be represented or comprises of numbers. The documentation and community forum were excellent and often contained really helpful tools.
- It's a great features of MATLAB which helps in documentations. The plotting option is also a great option in MATLAB.
- Very good software to start learning programming at the same time we gain the ability to create meaningful projects.
Cons
- Nevertheless, it is sometimes hard to get MATLAB to do exactly what you need, due to missing features or a confusing programming interface.
- The saving of files can be annoying sometimes and slow, and often the software crashes due to a bug, which is annoying.
- Sometimes it can be a pain manuevering around your equation if you want to make changes. I find the same problem with MathCAD.
Pros
- People are pleased with the quality of the visual output and now that we can use the Occulus Rift to provide an immersive experience, there is even more to be pleased about SIMIO.
- The support team are great and very friendly and over all I find the package excellent. I would certainly recommend this to others.
- These are really great and informative. The support team are very friendly as well and also a mine of useful knowledge and experience.
Cons
- More slow for complex simulations. I don't find any other disadvantage.
- They sometimes seem to get stuck against each other instead of walking around each others.
- Too much clicks required. Lack of quick programming shorcuts.
