Pros/Cons
Pros
- Or if I need to generate a report quickly I can just directly query the Database through SQL in SQL Server Management Studio. All around great tools, great management, and great support/integrations.
- Overall, it is good and best for Large size of projects which has more support. So any impediments can solve easily.
- What I like about the software is the excellent view of the tables, easy client connection, managing your database from anywhere. I also like that they are reliable.
Cons
- It can be confusing to understand the less than simplistic queries. There is a lot of functionality that you can get lost and have errors.
- It may get tedious to debug errors if you are trying something extraordinary. You may not understand the error which could cause this problem.
- The most irritating thing is when I try to restore a backup of newer version (2014) to older version (2008), it gives compatibility error.
Pros
- It's easy to use and great documentations can be found online. A great community , can help with certain issues.
- MySQL is excellent relational-database system, it is feature rich and has great community support. It can be relied on from the smallest to the largest projects.
- Overall, I would say that our experience with MySQL has been good since it has been reliable and solid for hosting our data.
Cons
- Some error messages are so weird then the actual problem. It gives sense of insecurity at some points.
- There is no way to stop a query in the Admin tool. Instead, you have to kill the MySQL process to stop the query.
- Some errors thrown by the server are very unclear and it's difficult to debug the SQL query.
