  • Pros

  • The availability of support on the internet is just amazing. It works well for small sized to big sized companies and the security of these databases is top notch.
  • The GUI that comes with to manage, administer and tune databases is probably the best there is. The performance tracking, monitoring and analysis features are probably the best in the field.
  • Cons

  • If you are not familiar with the inner workings of SQL you may get stuck trying to figure out performance problems.
  • Mistakes could crash the whole database - system.

  • One of the most powerful relational database that to have ever been created is Oracle database with some of the most powerful capabilities.
  • Customer service and metalink support are also magnificent.
  • Cons

  • Cancelling of running SQL statement is ver hard. Every time, I have to kill the session of connection to cancel the job.
  • The error messages seem a little vague at times and really don't describe the problem.
