Pros/Cons
Pros
- Moreover, the support is great: being a very famous software, you can benefit from the support included in the product and from the tons of users.
- The most important thing that I like about this software is that it's data visualization capability is beyond amazing.
- Since, I have different gadgets; it is a great addition that it can be used with my Mac and my Windows. The price is pretty affordable if you are looking for an easy to use analytical system.
Cons
- Data visualizatikn without plugins and extra addins is completely awful. Basically some weird looking shapes on the plot area.
- This now becomes a very time-consuming process as you now have to learn the system. Also, this can lead to errors in the process and ultimately affect the result of the research.
- It would sometimes crash and take time loading when using it through my older MAC computer. I sometimes had to start my analyses all over again.
Pros
- Visually impressive, and easy to use interface. Best suited for power users to drag/drop dimensions and create their own versions of dashboards.
- The overall purpose of this software is super awesome and I think the goals and points if applied right make a lot of sense. This would be so helpful in the business setting if it was easier to use.
- One of the most useful and professional data visualization tools in the market. You can create beautiful and informative charts easily, as long as you have reliable data quality.
Cons
- This error code keeps popping up "Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source. No such table" when we switch between worksheets.
- It is difficult to navigate and get started on the platform. Requires some training before you can be let loose on the platform and create your own reports.
- The support we pay for is almost worthless. We frequently solve the problem ourselves and it is time consuming to submit everything via their helpdesk with nothing to show for it.
