I'm overall pleased with Elementor. I've used it for countless businesses, and taught it in the classroom as well. A pro license is well worth the cost and provides you excellent templates, as well as the ability to save your own templates and create faster workflows for building websites. The ability to now use their cloud templates also is a welcomed improvement over the previous export and "paste from another site" options. #### Cons My only gripe with elementor is around their image optimization plugin currently always being pushed even inside the builder. The other weak spot in the builder is the ability to view revision history, this could be improved upon greatly. Lastly, setting those viewport sizes. Give people a 4k viewport template. I prefer Elementor because of its user-friendly interface and drag-and-drop functionality. Its extensive design options and pre-designed templates help to speed up the web design process as I can simply import the templates and customize them as per my liking and there is no need to write custom HTML or CSS codes as the plugin is already programmed to render elements visually appealing in the frontend. Another advantage of using Elementor is that the plugin takes up almost 60% of the media query and provides options for designers to manually adjust the remaining 40. The containers use Flexbox by default with predefined CSS values which I find extremely helpful and time-saving. I also get to achieve a lot more with third-party extensions such as droit addons, MailChimp, Gsap, and others. Most precisely, the Gsap plugin seamlessly integrated with Elementor to provide advanced animation functionalities to the websites which make them highly interactive and can highly boost user experience as well. #### Cons Even though I find Elementor helpful and advanced in designs, however, it depends on third-party extensions for more extendability and since its core functionalities are somewhat limited, I'm forced to install one or several extensions depending on what I want to achieve and in the end, they turn to affect the site loading speed. So, it would be better if Elementor could properly evaluate the benefits users get from third-party extensions and try to incorporate them in the core plugin, that way, users like myself won't have to increase server workload with third-party extensions especially as some of them might be well coded or optimized. #### Reasons for switching to Elementor Wix serves its purposes however, I personally find it limited in terms of functionality and design capabilities. Visual composer on the other hand can be user-friendly and hard to work with at the same time. Sites can be slow to load if you use a lot of plugins to get around Elementor's limitations, so get the best blazing hosting plan your budget allows. Keeps getting better. The development team has been committed to improving this. Also when you pay for Pro, the support is excellent. It's slow, sometimes 1,2 days, but they take the time to reproduce or tinker around in your site, and you get really thorough explanations and solutions. The problem with a lot of people new to Elementor is that they think support is to help them learn how to use Elementor instead of watching tutorials or googling for the steps. Then they gripe online that they don't get a reply. But if you realise support is for bugs or technical things that really need a pro support, you'll realise how good they are at it. #### Cons There are A LOT of basic things you need to be familiar with to set up each new site, from setting the global stuff, to what the difference between Elementor canvas and default template, to (and these 3 settings can cause lots of hair pulling, "why the heck are all my elements slightly offset from each other, WHYYY?!" »»» ) the margins, padding, and space between elements within a column. None of it is particularly intuitive. You need to know where to find each setting in different places. A startup wizard tool to cover every single consideration would be supremely useful. For now, make your own checklist. Also, the annual license plans are incrementally packaged kinda sadly. 1, 25, 100 or 1000. I like it because it empowers me with assets to bring my designs to life.It is easy to use in WordPress and supports several third-party tools that I use on a regular basis. With Elementor I can fully customize and manage my website features like branding, responsiveness, and animations.It allows me to add my own lines of code wherever I need to. I can also save time by exporting my settings and reusing them on other projects.Another thing that I really like about this tool is its affordability. Normally when disabled, the page title should be displayed but sometimes I still see a page title showing even after I've hidden it.Another thing that I would love to see being improved in Elementor is " Feature annotation". Some features like those in the container can quite be difficult to understand. The page building process with the three breakpoints allows you to build responsive websites without almost never needing to write a css media query. For more advanced users there's also the hability to code custom widgets with a fairly simple and we'll documented "framework" which allows you to create very complex and personalized components that feel native to elementor itself. If you can't code ther is also a infinite amount of plugins with entire collections of different components/widgets that will surely fill your needs. #### Cons Like any page builder, it's a bit "heavy". This doesn't necessarily mean that your website is going to be slow, but you'll need to keep performance in mind while you develop your pages to minimize the load time. Also the viewport breakpoint system could be a little more flexible.
