BoardPro makes coordination and logistics of board meetings and papers easy for board members. All info in the same place and and not mucking about with lots of different systems and software.

As a user I have no major gripes. It works for me

Good, I was an early adopter and seen it's functionality grow steadily over time - I am happy to recommend it for my clients and contacts to consider. Very good communication with the company.

I really like the ability to access all the areas via browser, add in notes to my copy of the papers, find past papers and actually generate / print a Board pack if I needed to. The responsivity of the help from the company is very good too.

Actually I struggle to think of anything material as a con.

I like the fact that members of the Code Authority can vote on motions to changes to the work plan and vote on other items. The ability to set up meetings is seamless and easy, anyone can do it!

I wish we could hold live voting via Boardpro during our meetings.

I've spent many years on a variety of small not for profits and school boards with little capacity to efficiently organise themselves. We looked at a number of similar products and following a short trial it was clear that was a good fit for our needs. Staff appreciated the ease in setting up agendas and by including recommendations in the agenda minute taking is very easy. Board members appreciate the ease of use, consistency and accountability. Meetings are much easier to chair and the ability to have multiple administrators collaborating on the agenda preparation is a great feature - I love it!

It was easy to set up, easy to use and the price is extremely reasonable.

As above, BoardPro has everything I need, and more to make my working life enjoyable as a board Trustee.

Documents are easily accessible has all the necessary features required for board meetings and having the BoardPro app on my IPad screen makes for easy access.

I have not found anything negative about BoardPro since using it.

I can't think of anything specific to improve BoardPro

We have greatly reduced the time spent assembling meeting packs, and allowed better transferability across the team where one person understood the complex manual process previously. Correcting minor errors is now much simpler, and the automatic reminders for actions increase the likelihood of actions being completed on time.

It is easy to set up, finesse and publish meeting packs, with the whole secretariat able to work collaboratively on this process. Updates are simple to make even after the pack is published, and users can choose whether to view and mark up online or print.

We were disappointed that meeting invitations aren't yet fully integrated with Outlook. The extra step required for users to click on the .ics attachment, and the lack of visibility of nuanced responses (e.g. messages included in responses, and tentative responses) meant we have had to continue setting up meeting appointments manually, rather than managing these from BoardPro.

The ability to assign actions to clients and create board packs in order to run structured meetings with esse of regernve to documents for multiple companies that we provide advisory services to.

There isn't an area for users to update their action items with a comment.

I have already noticed how beneficial BoardPro will and can be to our Board and the processes in which we need to operate. I look forward to learning more in the coming weeks.

I really like the convenience of having all board documents together in one space as our board members are spread all over New Zealand. As an administrator I find BoardPro pretty easy to navigate without even reading any tutorials or tips as I have only been using it for 4 days and I want to start integrating into our current process as the current times call for a digital solution to add ease of governance to our remote working National Board and Executive Committee.

I have yet to test the ease of use for my fellow peers and the National Board so I am hoping to learn how to use it properly before hand and hoping that maybe a training briefing call can be arranged for someone from BoardPro to go over its key features and use with me seeing as I am the administrator.

BoardPro has made our board meetings not only efficient but also fulfils our governance needs in an easy and practical way. We have easy searchable access to documents, actions and meeting notes.

BoardPro is easy to learn and use even for the technically challenged. It's easy to set up. Value for money pricing. Excellent help and support. Features are being added and improved regularly. There is no limit to the space you can utlise. Love the app so I can add my own personal notes and questions to the board pack. The recent addition of voting and virtual meeting access is great.

I'd like to have some integrated collaboration tools and the ability to select specific access elements for people.

The time saved and the ease of preparing agendas and minutes. And a system to keep track of the actions is great. We used to do all of that manually so we're streets ahead of where we were. We set up 4 new subcommittees this year so having BoardPro has been hugely helpful. Initially, there was a steady stream of minor and major bugs/teething problems but those are steadily being worked through. I find that I don't need to get in touch with the Help Desk as often and clearly things are working well for us. Another great BoardPro feature is the ability to access it so readily from any of your electronic devices and from any location. I’m an administrator so I can complete an agenda at work or at home and, later, access the minutes to work on and simply pick up from where I left off. And my colleagues can be working on it at the same time too.

Initially, there was a steady stream of minor and major bugs/teething problems, but I have to say those are steadily being worked through. I still get frustrated that there's no Undo button when I'm typing the minutes straight into BoardPro - I've lost work several times due to hitting the wrong area of the touch pad, which is a real pain. Ultimately, its important that our governors are happy with the software. They readily express their frustrations if they're unhappy, e.g. the page numbering in the board packs - the minutes have one set of numbering and the board packs have another. They also get confused about the different action points lists - in a board pack, there's a list of actions raised in the meeting at the end of the previous minutes (very useful). Then there's a list of actions reviewed in this meeting, plus an Action Item List. I don't clearly understand the distinction and if I'm not clear then I can't explain it and the governors start talking about other software options. That's not in my interest as I've invested lots of time and effort in getting BoardPro to work for us. For me, the action item reminders to owners are great. Because owners don't always react to their actions, (tongue in cheek), it would be good if it incorporated a graphic like a time bomb going off under a chair. That might prompt people to update/action their actions! :)

BoardPro has provided our organisation (consisting of several entities) to have a consistent approach and format with the management of minutes. I cannot stress enough the ability to have a one stop shop that allows for committee to have ease of access when and where required.

One stop shop. The ability to store all associated meeting documents and policies in one location. Ease of use from an auditing perspective. Ease of dragging in documents to add to the meeting agenda. The save function as minutes are taken. Capability of inviting guests to specific meetings. Being able to send out notifications to the committee members within the application, provision of action item reports and emailing these directly from within boardpro, receiving an email with the link for ease of access to the board pack. Ease of adjusting the agenda items and cloning being a time saver. Able to access from any location including the utilization of the app on smart devices.

Overall the product provides and meets our business requirements adequately. The only thing that I really need to add is that the board pack view alters to the view / layout compared to what the minute taker sees and can at times be a little confusing.

My board and minute taking experience is limited but growing so I am learning all the time to the nuance of different boards. There seems to be a solution for all questions I have asked of your customer service team. They are helpful and fast and have been a great help to me. My only constructive criticism is it would be handy to have all the options for help in one location ie FAQs, chat box link, webinar date/times, tutorial vids etc. I seem to find new support options as I go exploring instead of in one location. Personally, I like to be able to investigate and troubleshoot problems I can figure out myself before asking for help and knowing how to use a program to its fullest possible use to get the most out of it. Having one location to get that help would be helpful.

Being in the early stages of using this software we are still learning. The customer support with their instant messaging (to a real person) and the webinars to learn with have been invaluable. The software itself is is logical and covers most aspects that we use. That all the information for the board members are located in one spot and the ability to make notes is great. No more multiple emails to get lost in inboxes. On the administration side, the dragging and dropping/moving feature of the agenda items/sections and notes/decsions/actions is simple and ideal.

No opening meeting agenda item template - for actual start time of meeting, special messages, or noting opening meeting customs like we have for our organisation, also no template to accept apologies, but in saying that we can do both of these items manually.

Great. Very straightforward to use for our team and our Board. Plenty of efficiencies for our small team which has allowed us to focus direct our time toward growing the business

BoardPro has provided our small team countless efficiencies in our Board management. The ability to keep minutes, notes and actions recorded all in one place has saved plenty of time for our team and our Directors which would have previously been spent searching through files and email trails to compile information.

I can't think of any aspect of BoardPro that would rank lower than existing/email methods of managing our Board activity. No major issues, bugs or areas for improvement immediately spring to mind

Not solving any business problems apart from the fact it does save time having the board pack on BoardPro. Board members have commented that it isn't as user friendly as Diligent Boards and you can't switch between things as easily. I am still getting used to Board Pro and finding the best way to do things for us and as we only use it about 7 times a year and not on a daily basis it takes a while. I wouldn't go back to the old way of creating a word document though - definitely a step in the right direction.

It is relatively easy to use and saves time when putting together board papers. Great having a central portal to store all the important documents that need to be referred to regularly instead of having to find them elsewhere. Great that you can access it from any computer anywhere. I don't use the app version so can't comment on that.

When you copy a previous meeting it doesn't bring over the attachments and some attachments are regular documents - would be good if they transferred over and you had the ability to amend them through Board Pro and not have them stored elsewhere and attach. Sometimes we have matters arising which need to be deleted for whatever reason and you can't do that - you have to mark them done and wait for them to drop off the list. It seems to show all matters arising even if they are complete when really we don't need to see those in the meeting - good to have them in the background but we only need the ones that need actioning to be showing for that meeting.

Board pro helped us reduce our meeting time from 5 hours to 2.5

Boardpro provides all the core functionality a board will need at a reasonable price. It has saves hundreds of emails each month that went between the board members by moving them to comments on motions between meeting. It has organized our board pack and structure hour meeting to save hours and allows us to pre approve many of the actions we have to do.

Although UI is clean and simple somethings are difficult to find. I also wish it had action items on review only items and report reviews.

It changed our meetings from piles of paper to the ability to efficiently collate papers for back ground reading so that when members arrived at the meeting we could get straight down to business. In terms of preparation I believe we have saved at least 2 days work a month on meeting management, and we can easily find our documents and the correct version no more losing the final version.

It stores everything in one place, that is easy to access. Organising agendas and documents is so much easier - we no longer use paper.

It sometimes takes a while to load a meeting pack, and takes people a little while to get used to reading documents online - just the era we have grown up in!

Outstanding. The software I recommend the most to businesses.

1) It chases up actions automatically so that myself, and other board members, don't have to. 2) Minute writing is faster, funner, easier. 3) Board members turn up more prepared = better outputs and shorter meetings.

A minor, but not being able to copy your best-practice agendas automatically across to new clients

It has been a great system so far and it gets used by me multiple times a week, and our other users have enjoyed having an easy straightforward way to find minutes, documents and everything just in the one place. The customer support team are also amazing - there have been things I havent found or didn't quite know how to do in the beginning implementation and they respond extremely quickly and always have the answer for you (usually with a video or photos of step by step instructions so it couldnt be easier to follow).

It is very straightforward to use and it is easy to navigate, especially when you are looking after multiple boards or groups. I also enjoy the prompts that it gives me at different stages of meetings, so it's almost impossible to miss a step.

The only thing I would like that it doesn't 100% cater for is the ability to take minutes in a board only time when the secretary isn't there - so for them to be able to take minutes and not have them visible by admins. However, there is the hidden folder options which work for this purpose, they just have to load a document in separately.

Communication with Board and S/Cs is going well as a result of using BoardPro, we are all connected and accessing any recent or old documents at the click of a button.

Environmentally friendly, moving away from hard copies. Accessing and updating at any point any papers or governance documents. Being a live system. We are very connected with the Board and S/Cs.

The formatting is limited. The formatting is not working in all areas of BoardPro.
