No more Bots with Distil Networks
Our site was being scrapped on a daily basis and we couldn't block them as fast as they were coming in and changing IP's. Our Customers were becoming very frustrated as our site was starting to suffer from a user experience and could also cause issues with SEO. Our team tried to do it our self with little to no success until we started with the Distil platform and noticed a big improvement with site uptime and blocking bots. Seeing the reports that showed the amount of bots was a big eye opener as with our home grown solution we weren't able to see these insights. Great job to Ron, Rami and the team at Distil RG

OK product but support became terrible
For a few years, Distil was able to protect our site from scraping. As the scrapers got more sophisticated and determined, things got much more challenging. Eventually their support became dismal - around the time Imperva acquired them.
PROSBot protection was decent. They kept out a decent chunk of bots.
CONSSupport became so bad we had to quit using them. The tools for configuring custom rules were very limited. Reporting was also quite limited in comparison with competitors.

Stay away
Very disappointed. I had been with distil for almost 5 years. Mostly due because we were so integrated into them it was difficult to leave. We recently left to cloudflare and couldn’t be happier. Distil would constantly point the finger that it wasn’t their system that was causing downtime on us or not allowing our customers to access the site. When in fact it was distil in the end. We would have to be the ones investigating and telling distil how to fix the problems that their systems were causing. There is zero support and no one to speak to. Even when we left it was a joke. Billing still can’t figure out what is going on. And we are still waiting for a phone call from our account manager that has yet in 5 years to contact us. In the end, they raised our price by 300%. We now get the same better service with cloudflare for less.

CONSIt blocked everything and would prevent our customers from accessing shopping cart pages. Asking them to enter captchas to access the pages. Our customers would call in saying how frustrated they were with getting the errors. We lost more sales because of distil.
