Pros/Cons
Pros
- IGrafx excellent product has help our organization to build many models of the organisation quickly and effectively. The Product is simple and easy to use and it enables a wide variety of model types.
- IGrafx works great for us to meet regulatory compliance requirements with their great software and the great support team with an extensive knowledge on the features and capabilities of their product.
- I like the functionality, good graphics and easy to develop relatively simple diagrams - especially for business process modelling.
Cons
- I am frustrated when forced to use other tools.
- One things that i don't like mainly is when I am moving the flow charts it accidentally move the connecting lines within them which can cause some confusions.
- At first, the interface is intimidating and has a learning curve, if you don't receive training.
Pros
- The Support team are also absolutely fantastic and really help answer any questions that I may have - they are such a great asset.
- Simul8 clearly recruits great talent, both on a personal and professional level. Overall - Simul8 has been great to do business with and well worth the investment.
- Great tool and very powerful. Like everything there is a learning curve, but you can get good results very quickly and as your learning progresses, you can build even more insightful models.
Cons
- Another limitation is that sometimes while using this software, operator travel link becomes corrupt creating difficulty for the users.
- Struggle to find answers to my particular visual logic problems online - always require customer support.
- The VL interface is also quite frustrating as compared to normal programming languages. Finding commands is difficult, and the use of the interface is not intuitive.
