necessary evil for legacy systems lacking built-in pdf printing support

The software does the job, if you truly need it. However, you should really engineer around the problem, if you can. The price is too high, and the never-ending spam from ActivePDF's salespeople really gets old

Pros

relatively easy to configure. You'll need a separate license for every server instance.

Cons

this software is a niche play necessary only for supporting legacy software running on older systems that lack built-in pdf printing functionality

Response from ActivePDF
