At $10 per user per month, it offers an expanded set of features to streamline processes and boost productivity. \*\*Pros:\*\* - \*\*Enhanced organization:\*\* Unlimited projects, tasks, and subtasks combined with folder structures enable teams to create a well-organized workspace. - \*\*Increased visibility:\*\* Dashboards and cross-tagging provide a holistic view of project progress and help identify interdependencies. - \*\*Workflow automation:\*\* Access to 50 automation actions per month lets users save time and increase productivity. \*\*Cons:\*\* - \*\*User limitations:\*\* The Team Plan accommodates 2-15 users, which may not be sufficient for larger organizations or departments. - \*\*No resource management:\*\* This plan does not include tools for managing resources, such as workload charts, time tracking, and resource assignment. - \*\*Storage allocation:\*\* The 2GB storage per user might be limiting for teams dealing with large files or extensive documentation. \*\*Business plan\*\* For established teams and departments, the Business Plan offers a comprehensive set of features for $25 per user per month. Pros:

I like that it is adaptive for all kinds of work - events, marketing, web work. There are lots of ways to customize things both across the board and on an individual level. If you want to see things in a Gantt chart, calendar, or To-do list, you can see it that way. We utilize the request forms, automations, and reporting.

Cons:

It can be overwhelming at first - but once you get the hang of it Wrike comes pretty naturally for the user.

Wrike is my best work friend

My overall experience with Wrike has been extremely positive and high-impact. It’s a mission-critical platform for how our PMO and Marketing teams plan, execute, and stay aligned, and it enables me to manage work far more efficiently than would be possible without it.

Pros:

What "do" I like most As the lead for our PMO team, Wrike is absolutely essential — I genuinely can’t imagine managing our workload without it (our team of 4 has about 100 Wrike requests in each of our queue at all times) —Wrike keeps our plans, owners, timelines, and day-to-day execution organized in one place so we can work efficiently and stay aligned. We’ve partnered closely with the Wrike team to tailor the platform to fit our specific needs, and it’s become the backbone of how we manage projects and drive alignment across departments. I’m especially excited about the potential of Wrike’s AI tools to take our efficiency even further. As the key advocate and “Wrike champion” across our company, I love helping other teams and individuals discover how powerful it can be — I like to say Wrike is our best work friend! I’m also one of the key drivers of Wrike across the company—helping teams get set up the right way, sharing best practices, and making sure we’re using it consistently, so everyone gets the full benefit. In Marketing, everyone jokes that my favorite word is “Wrike,” and they’re not wrong. I’ve even earned the nickname “Wrike Police” because I’m always spotting small fixes that keep our processes clean, accurate, and running smoothly. Simply put, Wrike has transformed the way we collaborate, track progress, and deliver results.

Cons:

What "do" I like least If I had to pick something, it’s that Wrike is powerful enough that it can take a little time for new users to learn the “best practice” way to set things up. We have done a lot of tailoring to our specific needs. We probably need to re-think about all the customizing and go back to being more simplified.

Reasons for switching to Wrike

Excel was before the company had a serious project management team.

Pros:

As a project manager, I really love Wrike for its efficiency and ease. It's been my favorite all-in-one tool for timelines, resourcing, and review workflows. It has an easy UI to follow, is very customizable, and I always feel like I'm in the know for Wrike updates and any new customization options.

Cons:

It seems like Wrike is rolling out AI updates at an overly rapid pace, and at the moment I'm not finding much value in it. AI is still very new and doesn't always work unless it's given extremely specific prompts. I find that to be tiring and wasteful, especially considering how much energy AI uses. I know that the trajectory of AI is that it will only get better over time, but that means it could take over my job entirely, or at best, reduce my job entirely to just AI quality assurance. My company may not even need Wrike one day, because all of its marketing material could be solely produced by AI instead of a creative team. Humans are trying too hard to take advantage of AI right now, but the reality is that one day AI will be taking advantage of humanity.

Reasons for switching to Wrike

Trello was before my time, but my team said it was too simple. We needed something that could handle more complex timelines and asset approval workflows.

Reliable, flexible, powerful work delivery management platform with reasonable pricing

5

While there's significant value to task management that's easy to learn and leverage from day one, even greater benefits come from exploring and implementing more advanced features to streamline, automate, or AI-enhance processes and projects. Along that learning process, Wrike's accurate, up-to-date documentation mean I can confidently send colleagues to Wrike's Help Center search, chatbot, and human support and I've never been disappointed by the support experience. Wrike's constant community engagement includes listening to ideas for improvement. Significant downtime has been extremely rare, as have been bugs or other issues with the website and apps for desktop and mobile. As expected, a browser tab refresh typically resolves any occasional transitory inconsistencies.

Pros:

Wrike is a flexible platform for planning, tracking, and collaborating on all kinds of work. I like the high level of configurability along with an expanding range of pre-built templates and the ability to roll your own. That along with account-level and collaborator- or contributor-only pricing lets an organization right-size its investment in this key technology.

Cons:

There was a time when the majority of the latest enhancements were only available at the highest (Pinnacle) account, and some advanced features still require add-ons like Klaxoon whiteboards. Most recent changes have benefitted the full range of paid accounts. Free accounts are very limited.

Reasons for switching to Wrike

Outgrew it as several more teams needed project and process management.

Pros:

I like that we are able to hold team members accountable, the reporting helps make it easy to see the types of projects worked on, and that we can have other teams within the Wrike platform but they dont have access to our marketing spaces.

Cons:

They make a lot of changes with 0 to little notice. And when the changes are made the training isnt great and when we worked with our Rep she gives us incorrect information (on more than one occasion). This is why when anyone on our team has Wrike issues we submit a ticket vs reaching out to the people on our account.

Reasons for choosing Wrike

We liked the list view (which has now been discontinued...) and the reporting functionality

Reasons for switching to Wrike

We needed more accountability and reporting options.

Powerful Project Hub — A Few Rough Edges, But Worth It

5

Wrike has genuinely transformed how our team manages work. Once past the initial setup, the ease of use improves dramatically. It centralizes everything — deadlines, responsibilities, files, and communication, eliminating the need for scattered spreadsheets or email chains. The productivity gains are real and measurable. Despite some pricing and onboarding concerns, it remains one of the most feature-complete project management tools available.

Ratings Breakdown

Functionality

Pros:

What I liked most: Wrike's task tracking and organizational management capabilities are genuinely impressive. The ability to create custom workflows, set dependencies, and visualize work through Gantt charts and Kanban boards makes managing complex projects feel structured and clear. The real-time collaboration features keep the entire team aligned, and the dashboard gives an excellent bird's-eye view of project health. For large teams handling multiple projects simultaneously, it's a serious productivity booster.

Cons:

What I liked least: The learning curve is steeper than expected, onboarding new team members takes time and the interface can feel overwhelming initially. Some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which affects value for money for smaller teams. Occasional sync delays and minor UI bugs (especially on the mobile app) can disrupt the flow. Customer support response times could also be faster.

Reasons for choosing Wrike

After evaluating several project management tools including Asana, teamwork.com, Jira, and ClickUp, Wrike stood out for a few key reasons: Depth of customization, Unlike Trello's relatively simple card-based system, Wrike offered custom workflows and fields that matched our team's specific processes without forcing us to adapt around the tool. Gantt chart & dependency management — Wrike's built-in Gantt charts were more intuitive and robust compared to Asana, where similar features required workarounds or higher-tier plans. Scalability - Monday.com felt great for small teams but became costly and cluttered as the team grew. Wrike scaled more cleanly across departments. Cross-team visibility - The ability to manage multiple projects across different teams with shared dashboards gave managers better oversight than ClickUp's more fragmented view at the time. Enterprise-ready structure - For our organization's needs, Wrike's folder/project/task hierarchy felt more logical and professional compared to the others. Ultimately, Wrike struck the best balance between power and structure for a mid-to-large team managing complex, multi-phase projects.

I would highly recommend it to organizations looking for a reliable and scalable project management solution.

Pros:

I have been using Wrike for the past 4 years, and it has become an essential part of our project management process. The platform provides excellent task management, project planning, and team collaboration features. Its customizable workflows, dashboards, Gantt charts, and reporting capabilities help us keep projects organized and on track. The ability to assign tasks, track progress, manage deadlines, and maintain clear communication within teams significantly improves productivity and accountability.

Cons:

While Wrike is a powerful tool, new users may find the initial setup and learning curve slightly challenging due to the wide range of features available. Some advanced functionalities and customizations can require additional training to utilize effectively. Additionally, certain reporting and dashboard configurations could be more intuitive.

Reasons for switching to Wrike

We switched from Jira to Wrike because we needed a more user-friendly and efficient project management solution. Wrike's Kanban boards, customizable workflows, and project planning features made it easier for our team to track tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively. The platform provides better visibility into project progress and helps streamline our overall project management process.

Functionality

Pros:

Wrike has become an essential platform for our team and has significantly improved how we manage projects, collaborate, and stay organized across the organization. One of the standout aspects of Wrike is its customer support. Whenever we've had questions or needed assistance, the support team has responded quickly and provided helpful, knowledgeable guidance. Their responsiveness has made implementation and ongoing use much smoother. From an ease-of-use perspective, Wrike is both intuitive and highly flexible. The platform can be configured in ways that best support your team's workflows rather than forcing you into a rigid process. Whether you're managing a small team or a large organization, it's easy to adapt Wrike to fit your specific needs. Task tracking is another major strength. The highly visual interface makes it easy to see projects, tasks, due dates, and overall progress at a glance. Having clear visibility into workloads and deadlines helps teams stay aligned and reduces the risk of important items falling through the cracks. Wrike also excels at organizational management by providing a centralized location for everything related to a project. Source documents, reviews, comments, approvals, notes, and project history are all stored in one place. This not only keeps current work organized but also makes it easy to reference past projects and understand what was done, when, and why. Perhaps the biggest benefit we've experienced is the impact on productivity. Wrike has dramatically reduced the amount of back-and-forth email communication that used to consume our day. Team members can collaborate directly within projects, provide feedback, track decisions, and maintain clear documentation without endless email chains. Additionally, the review and approval functionality allows stakeholders across the business to participate in the process without requiring everyone to be a full platform user, making collaboration both efficient and scalable.

Cons:

One area where we have experienced some frustration is with platform updates and interface changes. Over time, Wrike has introduced changes to certain features and workflows that our team relied on heavily. While we understand the need for product evolution and continuous improvement, some updates have required us to adjust established processes that were working well for our organization. It would be beneficial if organizations had more flexibility to retain certain legacy functionality or interface options when major workflow-related changes are introduced. Having the ability to opt into new experiences on a timeline that aligns with business needs would help reduce disruption and make transitions smoother for long-term users.

Reasons for choosing Wrike

We felt the other platforms were a bit overstimulating, and Wrike was the best fit to match to our existing processes.

Reasons for switching to Wrike

Confluence was absolutely horrible to utilize for project management (at least the way we were using it). This was a complete upgrade.
