I have used Cubase for many many years since the late 90s probably. It is easy to use, sounds great right out of the box, and is set up to inspire creativity.

Overall, i would never buy any software but Cubase. It integrates with all of the major 3rd party plugins and gives a wide variety of options to best record and produce your music.

The vocal processing  is what I love most, it has good vocal processing.

By using cubase as a freelance artist, I was able to produce my music myself and save time and money.

Best software to mix and master vocals. I choose Cubase over any other music production software any day any time.

Cubase can be difficult for someone who has not done audio editing previously; will be a learning curve.

The mixing and mastering template is so much better and easier to understand for an upcoming producer.

Happy to use the Steinberg software. You will be able to tell it is designed for the professional user and will help give you professional results.

I like that the user interface is simple and easy to use and remember, you will easily know where all the options are. It is also compatible with many of the plugins available on the market.

Can get real slow on startup (maybe my mac is getting old also). Not ideal for performing live music.

The multi-band parametric eq is surgical precise with great visual feedback of the signal.

Best quality sound for recording voices and instruments, you to eq the sound to what you really want.

Some VSTs have not worked correctly for me and sometimes if the devices are not connected from the beginning they may fail to detect them.

Definitely positive, really good learning curve, and in the bottom line it really helps me make music.

Cubase is a solid and reliable sequencer. The audio engine excellent and so responsive I frequently edit clips while I'm actually recording.

Great MIDI editor, easy to install plugins, lots of really good guides, both the manual and online tutorials, sn a lot of really useful stock plugins.

The built in synthesis is good, the generic plugins are great (Reverb and compression in particular).

Above it all, the compressor is integrated into the DAW’s interface, making it easy to access and adjust settings without having to switch to a separate plugin or software.

I used Cubase LE for several years on my PC. I was happy with it until I learned about other options that were available at affordable prices.

I've discovered that it is difficult to learn the shortcuts. There is no trial version available.

It's a great software that I used and completed a good number of songs on it.

I feel that this program is very versatile for anyone who wants to record with good quality, it is not very expensive and it makes it easy for you to include plugins from the same brand.

There are too many features that I do not need and these pollutes the menus and interface in general.

For programming music it's not very ideal software to use unless you need a particular sound from Cubase.

I had trouble setting up my audio interface and getting drivers for low latency, but with watching a youtube video and a few little tweaks, all was fixed.

Cubase is worth buying for all recording studios. Its quality output is outstanding.

It's kind of an odd mix of skeuemorphic and minimal design which makes everything seem a bit disjointed.

Reaper made this much more fun and easier than using traditional heavy softwares such as Sonar and Cubase.

The only problems I've run into have involved things that I overlooked or didn't completely understand. I have been able to fix them, easily though not always quickly.

The UI can be a little scary and old fashioned but there are tons of themes.

It surprised me when the app inform me that I would be charged within the 3rd time using it. I hate how money hungry it seem.

I don't like the default color scheme of REAPER, but with a wide variety of downloadable skins in the internet, a user doesn't have to settle for REAPER's default appearance.

Most plugins that you find built into the software is more than enough for even Grammy winning recordings. It simply is the best software you could use for audio and media production.

Multi monitor support is great - being able to lay out the tracks effects and instruments on screen as I want.

Reaper is just a very easy software to use for up and coming artists. It's cheap and intuitive, it's effective at its job and amusing.

Therefore on the side of in built and integrated virtual instruments, Reaper covers all grounds to allow any user to expand capabilities within it.

The only downside of Reaper I can think of is that it doesn't come with a suite of cutting edge plug-ins or have an option to purchase different tiers of the program with elite plugins included.

Very intuitive, but even if there is something that isnt clear, the community have great in depth tutorials.

Starting off young and having no money to spare, REAPER was a god-send. It helped me to scale my business and get better projects while not making a huge dent in the bank.

It allows third party integration and automation in Reaper is perfect.

The software is strong and the community is stronger. There is absolutely no place for regrets.

It is easy to use, easy to watch, you have a great work flow with the interface and also the native plugins are so good and have a great quality.

I have not had any issues so far, however having previously been using Garageband, I miss the built in drummers it has available.

Reaper fits my needs the best. I love that the developers are conbstantly updating it and adding new features.

The only trouble I had with this software are the tutorials but they can be found by just searching the tool name on google or youtube.

I enjoy the hovering over the setting and education of what it would do. As well the sound quality captured is good.

Reaper is so easy to use and learn with lots of customizability for how you want your layout to look. I've mixed literally thousands of hours in the program and it's the only program I mix with now.

Reaper is light, fast, cheap, effective, intuitive, fun to use. I tried last 3 decades many other music production softwares, most of them are huge slow monsters, full of bugs.

The easy layout and use and compatibility with most MiDi controllers. Weather YAMAHA, M-AUDIO or AKAI it still rocks fine.

But sometimes it just has some bugs. But maybe this is a problem with my computer memory.

The program offers such deep ability for configuration that I find myself forcing my attention to the few basic features I need to mix my audio. It's an amazing program for an extremely low price.
