Facilities Management eXpress Software


 

Facilities Management eXpress (FMX) is used by a variety of industries including manufacturing, property management and education. With FMX, facilities managers can view their activities and associated costs, and building occupants can submit maintenance, event, transportation and technology requests.

FMX features a calendar display where facilities managers and staff can view work orders, scheduled events and preventive maintenance tasks. Facilities staff are notified when a work order is submitted, and building occupants can be notified when their requests have been updated or resolved.

Facilities managers can track inventory and view equipment, building and location histories. They can also track equipment and staff performance through interactive reports and dashboards.

FMX offers unlimited customer support and training. FMX is accessible from any web browser, including on mobile. Customer data is hosted securely in the cloud, and FMX allows for unlimited users at no extra cost.

Easy to use and import data. Overall, mostly customizable to needs, with a few exceptions that FMX seems willing to help customize.

Cons

So far so good. Its not perfect but It should do the trick. It is pretty in-depth with email options, I will take you a bit to get that figure out, But its a nice option to have for those that like an email for everything.

I've been in educational facilities management for 30 years and can say that transitioning from other well known school CMMS systems to FMX was the best decision I've made, it's so simple for my end users yet so powerful with a lot of features that other software companies will charge as an additional fee or a custom field.

Pros

Ease of install, ease of use by faculty and staff, can assign requests to two or more technicians in different departments, avoids scheduling of conflicting events, less expensive than previous CMMS system used on campus with more modules included, support staff is amazing, inventory control, generates reports that aid in staffing decisions, preventive maintenance module is easy to use and track.

Cons

I have not come across any issues that could not be easily resolved by the great support staff at FMX.

Overall, what makes FMX great is the combination of being affordable, customize-able and with great customer service.

Pros

The ability to customize almost every access of the software. The custom work request modules fit all of our needs as an organization, and being able to customize the request form is really nice.

Cons

The homepage has a great calendar for viewing upcoming requests, but you're unable to print/export this calendar view. You can export to spreadsheets and PDF's, but it'd be nice to print a calendar.

A lot of great pre-defined reports

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to get reports beyond pre-defined reports. We have not experience any other cons.

I like the fact that it has the ability to manage multiple staff and locations from one central spot. The ability to track expenses with specific vendors is HUGE for us! Also to have a catalog of all that we have spent with specific vendors has been a huge resource for us too. Also has the ability to have a very clean and simple inventory system with QR codes and everything.

Cons

My only con is maybe the pricing can be steep for smaller businesses. But the money saved in the long run could be a benefit.

Cons

So far we are not able to find anything that we really don't like about this system. We have not used all of it to it's fullest capacity yet as we are rolling it out in stages to our agency.

User friendly software, I've used similar software before but it was not as detailed as FMX. i specifically like the inventory and reporting features.

Cons

i think it would be nice if it had a Start, Stop feature for Maintenance Requests and Planned Maintenance. Also automatic time stamp for when you Complete a Maintenance Request instead of manually inputting the time.

The staff and team have met with me several times about possible improvements, upgrade opportunities and use. Always a friendly experience. Staff have been willing to provide training at our national conference.

Pros

Great fit for our type and use as an organization for a web / cloud style calendar, cmms, database, and tool for running setups, events, preventative maintenance, maintenance, and multiple types of work orders.

Cons

Some cons were perceived by attempting to use the product similar to past internal processes. However, many cons are overcome by changing past process thinking to align with options or customizable fields found in using the product differently than out of the box.

Love the ease of use and how quick to filter and find what data you need whether it is for scheduling, maintenance, warehouse, etc.

After reviewing six other system for our school, FMX was hands down the best product.

Pros

Ease of use, fully configurable, one data base for all modules, does everything we need. You can't find a system that works as well as this. And the roll out was painless

Cons

There are a few areas where I would like to add notification based on drop down menus. That being said there are easy work arounds.

From the ease of FMX's interface for our clients to request a service call to the ease of use for our service contractors has made FMX our go to platform for our Facility Service Group.

Cons

There is nothing we do not like about FMX. Even the service vendor on boarding process is easy as well as having the ability to track the service calls and work done is important to our clients. FMX does it all.

I learned to use through a job that I had gotten and I learned fairly quickly how to handle the site and how to use it to its maximum capacity.

Pros

This product allows the Tenant, in my example, to input their own work orders or maintenance request. They can write what kind of problem they're having and submit photos/files with their request. it allows you to be able to fix a problem without having to actually speak to the person reporting the problem which can lead to escalating a simple maintenance request to an angry customer/Tenant. You can send messages about progress and log on to see what the progress is for your problem.

Cons

If you don't have an email address you can not use it because it is all based online, some tenants may be of older age and may not necessarily work off of emails or depend on them so it is important to make sure that all or most of your customers will be able to use it as well.

Getting automated with work orders and moving toward more planned maintenance has been great and well received by staff. Also using to schedule rooms and vehicles as well as inventory - even food inventory for our cafeterias.

Pros

FMX starts with great customer service from sales thru set up and execution. They have been very flexible in coming up with solutions for our unique operations.

Our establishment is a church and school and there are some aspects of the maintenance that need to be detailed and others as simple as possible and FMX helps provided the service needed here. The sales team are knowledgeable about their product and have been able to thoroughly answer all my questions. The staff are friendly and able to teach and train well new users in the system. I have had a great experience establishing a new maintenance system with them.

Pros

The ease of use with the system. Given that I have had experience with other systems this system can be as detailed with vast selection of information like larger corporations use to operate, or keeping it simple with not all the details for a "mom and pops" business. It is pretty simple and straight forward for the end users who put in work orders.

Cons

When wanting to view "maintenance requests" filter some of the filters are not straight forward. But after learning the "lingo" of the system you figure it out. FMX is great at reviewing and training when help is needed.

Great system with good customer service and training.

Pros

The ability to set up automatic notifications for almost all action triggers makes this product a true workflow master. We have a facilities team of ~20 staff. They access automatic email notifications on their phone, use the links in the email to go straight to their tickets, update, resolve and close the tickets, all on their own phones. Our customer satisfaction for maintenance issues is excellent.

The hosting service for this product has been very reliable. The user interface is intuitive. Standard import templates are included and easy to use, allowing us to organize on spreadsheets all our data and easily import to GoFMX. GoFMX has made our jobs easier.

Custom fields and forms allows us to create custom request types for any use.

The extra modules besides maintenance requests offer some great workflows as well. We will be looking into using the scheduling module soon.

Cons

You cannot customize the interface. The menu buttons say what they say, you cannot change them.

FMX has helped our maintenance team stay organized. It has made it much easier to assign work to our employees rather than printing out paper.

Previously, we did not have real time visibility to work loads at the individual sites. Being cloud based, it allows multiple sites to use it from different locations at the same time, providing visibility of work load to both the main office and the individual sites. Ease of implementation was also important and it went relatively smoothly.

Pros

All in one system, Tech Support requests, Building Maintenance Requests, Calendaring all in one place makes it easy for the end user to navigate and our team members to keep track of everything.

I wish we had more control of some of the fields and could label them with our internal lingo.

It works well because we are able to utilize it on one platform in one convenient location.

Pros

It gives you a lot of options for the type of forms you can create. We use it for IT help issues, general maintenance requests, and marketing, media and communications requests.

Cons

It is pretty much preset on what you can and can't add in. It has some presets that don't work with every form, so you have to select information that is not necessary in order to complete the form.

Customer Service has always been extremely helpful. Setup and installation was seamless. I would highly recommend this system.

Pros

Improved workflow and efficiencies for all areas of our staff. Appreciate that our team can go to one central site to enter work orders for different areas of the hospital. Great to get email notifications regarding these work orders.

Cons

Only con is that when having custom fields, these do not get added to the work order email notifications. This would be extremely helpful as each business is different and the default fields don't always align with the business needs.

Our customers now click once to open a portal that will help them request transportation, tech or maintenance support and schedule resources. Providers are able to track hours, equipment use, inventory and plan ahead for projects. Using the response option on the modules keeps pertinent communication attached to requests so no searching through email archives to access additional communication notes.

Pros

Many of our teams used different software that were not compatible. FMX was able to collaborate with the various leads and provide one system where we all experience success in customer service. The team we worked with at FMX live up to their "Customer Success" titles!

Cons

Exporting/importing data across all modules would be an asset, but right now only certain modules share information.

This has helped us understand maintenance action on the floor and see where we’re losing time.

Pros

I really like the accountability aspect of the software, we can easily track the success of a machine and see when it’s become more trouble than it’s worth. It keeps employees accountable for their time, as well

Cons

I wish it had more accessibility for text alerts instead of only being able to do email alerts OR text alerts. An option for kiosk inputs to be sent to a cell phone but general calendar action to be sent to email would be far more useful.
