A great tool and partner to ensure our clients have an efficient PIM

We specialise in building automated, personalised digital services, we chose Sales Layer as our Product Information Management partner as we share a common interest: catalog automation for businesses that sell products or services. Besides being a great solutions partner, Sales Layer is a very powerful PIM tool that we implement for our clients product work flow.

PROS

An advantage is that users can choose between the plug and play connectors that save us time setting up the PIM data with third-party services. We use Sales Layer PIM with our own Unify connector to automatically create and update 100's of data-sheets and in turn produce bespoke product/service brochures. As an agency it's crucial that our clients are able to centralise and independently manage their products and services whilst maintaining data integrity. In the past our clients have struggled when managing data across multiple channels, implementing Sales Layer has allowed Libris to offer clients a simple, flexible solution to organise, control, analyse and connect product data.

CONS

We don’t have many complaints yet. We keep trusting Sales Layer PIM for our own team and our clients to ensure a cost-effective and results-driven solution for Product Information Management.

Excellent tool ofr Product Data Management

My experience is very good. I use the tools to improve the quality of my Product database, Online catalogue etc every day.

Could be interesting to change the name of Sales materials due to its multiple uses of this option including additional databases

Improving Product Management Software

We have enjoyed the value that Sales Layer brings, we wish it integrated better with other enterprise platforms such as Salesforce.

Sales Layer makes it easy to update hundreds or thousands of products at once via import/exports with Excel.

CONS

There is not sufficient documentation on how to use Sales Layer.

The PIM that sorts and improves the quality of our product information and leverages our sales value

Sales Layer’s PIM has become the tool we use to connect our ERP to the website, improve our digital brand image and the quality of our product information, develop a faster and simpler workflow, and boost the efficiency of our design department, and we can count on the assistance of Sales Layer’s Customer Support team.

PROS

Before trying a PIM system we only relied on our ERP and outsourced product information. Sales Layer solved all of our problems connecting products and SKUs to associated information, synchronizing the core data from different manufacturers, and keeping our international distribution network always up to date through a centralized and reliable database. Above all, Sales layer’s PIM gives us sales value. We have now synchronized more than 70,000 products, 100,000 SKUs, and all of our sales channels: long-distance sales and in-person sales. Sales Layer has even launched an industry-leading product search engine which proves to be very useful for trade shows. Their top-notch Customer Support team has been an essential companion to walk us through the installation process and daily work.

CONS

The setup time of a PIM takes up a lot of resource, the result is what we wanted, but it’s worth noting that it took work between our team and Sales Layer’s support team to get the PIM up and running.

The perfect companion tool for catalog and e-commerce website developers

We were looking for a tool that could help us in our website design and development duties, making our daily tasks easier instead of adding more management processes. In Sales Layer we’ve found the PIM technology that understands our team’s needs. Its features keep in mind how real designers work with real catalogs. We can experience their industry knowledge in the ease of use, its versatile connectors and the freedom to organize, activate and hide information elements with no design disruption.

PROS

We develop websites and online stores for big and experienced companies like Teka, and this means we face wide and complex catalogs and a huge amount of references and information variables that must fit perfectly in the design. The ideal scenario for development teams like ours is getting rid of content quality worries entirely. Sales Layer guarantees that level of quality for us, because the PIM has an automatic quality control system that identifies omissions and references that need more data. Since we’ve been working with Sales Layer we’ve been fully confident to focus on the design. The data we connect is always going to be synchronized and the results we show to our clients are perfect from the very first draft.

CONS

Sales Layer has a lot of built-in connectors, but from time to time we miss a plugin that we need to program by ourselves. On the bright side, their API is very flexible and easy to integrate and the number of connectors is constantly growing.

SalesLayer's Impact on Our Fashion Brand's Data Processes

PROS

SalesLayer provided us with a centralised platform to manage all our product information. Earlier, our data was across different systems and spreadsheets, leading to inefficiencies and data issues. With SalesLayer, we could consolidate all our product data in one place, we now have uniformity and accuracy. Updating product information, a task that once took hours, was significantly streamlined. We could bulk update product details, prices, and images, which was a massive time-saver, especially when preparing for new collections or sales seasons.

CONS

The UI sometimes takes a little time to load if I am nit picking would like this to be a lot quicker.

Easy to use and time-saving

Sales Layer has made it very easy for us to centrally manage product information in different languages and all the images and videos related to them. 100% recommendable as it has allowed us to save time and have greater control over our catalogue.

PROS

- Great support and customer service for any questions.- Easy integration with other systems via API.- Easy import and export of information.- Excel mode to edit in bulk.

CONS

- Updating content in PrestaShop is slower than desired. In future versions it is expected to be much faster.- I miss being able to automate field updates if certain conditions are met in other fields.

Sales Layer is easy to use and easy to understand. The process to upload information and update it is simple and comfortable. When in doubt, the support team is always available to help you and integration with third parties is simple.

CONS

The new interface prioritizes aesthetics. It works correctly but it is an advance of aesthetics as opposed to simplicity.

The best pim we have ever tried

I save a lot of work to all our departments. Before we tried several different pims but it was always with problems: without attention until we tried Sales layer that we solved all our needs and contributed the incredible ease of use saves work and also is at the end much cheaper compared to others that at first are cheap and then expensive.

That I have not met before, could save us a lot of time and money until we found it.

Lo recomiendo, ahora somos mucho más productivos que antes.

A nivel generar, estamos toda la empresa muy contentos. ahora tenemos mejor calidad ee información de los productos. Además, al tenerlo ligado a la web, permite que los cambios sean inmediartos porque la persona de ese departamento entra y lo cambia, no como antes que tenías que esperar varios días hasta que conseguías la información. bueno y la atención de los trabajadores de Saleslayer es impecable, le envías un comentario en el chat y una persona (no robot) te contesta la instante. Si veo que es más complejo les escribo y en esa misma mañana me responden. Lo recomiendo al 100%.

PROS

Lo que más me ha gustado es lo sencillo que es de ver todo. Es muy visual e intuitivo. Además, te permite adaptarlo a lo que necesitas, que en nuestro caso ha sido bastante, sin necesidad de ir a parar a un técnico. Si tengo dudas, le pregunto al chat o les envío un correo y enseguida me responden y me resuelven la duda. En nuestro caso, lo hemos conectado a la web, con lo que nos permite tener la web actualizada al momento. Además con los conectores que ofrece, hemos podido compartir esa información con nuestros clientes. Tenemos un panel general que nos detecta qué información falta. Además, en cada producto te pone el porcentaje de información completada para que sepas cómo tienes el producto.

CONS

Lo que menos me ha gustado es que no puedes ordenar los productos arrastrando. en nuestro caso, tenemos más de 2000 y por gategorías y de la forma actual es un poco costoso.

Sales Layer para la integración con AECOC

La principal funcionalidad para la que usamos este software es para integrar los datos de nuestros productos con AECOC DATA Y AECOC MEDIA. Esta capacidad de sincronización ha simplificado mucho nuestros procesos internos y ahora es todo mucho más sencillo. La herramienta es fácil de utilizar y tiene un aspecto limpio y cuidado. La vista en modo edición es muy útil para consultar los datos de los productos y el filtrado por todos los campos también se utiliza bastante. Ahora tenemos un único lugar donde mantenemos todas las imágenes de producto y desde ahí se sirven a todos los canales, mejorando la calidad de la información

CONS

El proceso de integración con nuestros datos y con AECOC ha sido algo complejo para nuestra categoría, ya que se ha ido desarrollando un poco en conjunto. Ahora que está totalmente desarrollado, funciona correctamente.

Great Partner with best PIM solution

PROS

We needed a solution to centralize all product database, manage the information with different users and permissions in real time and with concurrent users. After we had a quick demo, we knew we wanted this PIM. Sales Layer is very flexible, with a lot of options, but at the same time is easy to configure and, adapting to almost all needs. And, in our case, the most important factor was that for the final user it was very smooth to transition from the previous solution to Sales Layer, we are all very happy about the decision we made. And last but not least, Sales Layer's Customer Support team is really helpful, any doubt or problem is quickly and precisely solved.

CONS

Right now, we don't have any cons, we needed a feature to add product information in table format, but they released this functionality a few weeks ago.

An essential system to have all information centralized and updated in a single place

The PIM solution from Sales Layer has allowed us to centralize all our products in one place. Before the PIM, our data was distributed between various departments, which made it complicated to get the right information every time.

PROS

Thanks to Sales Layer’s PIM we now have mechanisms to extract the product information quickly, and in standard formats. This has speeded up our work and we can transfer updated information to our clients when they request the latest features The software includes a variety of channels, and the instant catalog feature is great for us. The customer service is also fantastic, and the chat makes requests for help very easy. They have always responded quickly and adequately.

CONS

The general working of the system is very good, but we are lacking in certain aspects such as the option to translate and organize certain fields, such as conditional fields.

La rápida atención al cliente que tienen cuando surge un problema y son muy activos en informar nuevos conectores que te pueden ayudar o otras novedades.

La facilidad de enviar la información tanto de catálogo como tarifa a diferentes plataformas con la ayuda de los conectores que nos permite tener el PIM, con la importancia de tener y estirar la información en un mismo lugar.

En todo el proceso del PIM no he encontrado nada que no nos guste, de momento todo son grandes avances y estamos muy contentos.

Saleslayer with over 30K products

Very positive. The support was quick to answer and they listen.

PROS

The export channels where you can define your own small scripts before exporting. It's simple and the documentation is really good on how to implement them.

CONS

One thing that is lacking is a simpler way of moving around categories. Drag and drop would fix that.

Practicality

PROS

The PIM consolidates all product-related information into a single tool, allowing us to create workflows that assist with modifications and edits, making the task of product creation much easier and dynamic. Furthermore, it enables us to centralize the flow of information into other tools such as OMS, WMS, Instant Catalogs, etc.

CONS

Depending on the business structure, establishing a connection with certain connectors can be complex. In our case, we have it integrated with Magento. On the other hand, there are certain changes that would be beneficial to consider when filtering products and variants. It would be advantageous if both were associated to facilitate bulk changes.

Excellent PIM to manage product and catalogue

Very smart support team which accompany you during the whole process. Good services and quite good price for the value given

Very easy to put in place. Very friendly interface. Good looking and easy to use catalogue.

CONS

It will be great that you can organize variant in catalogue as you wish and not only in an alphabetical order... It is many time more usefull and easy for the end-user to find product quickly and easily.

Sales layer makes my job more easy and fun

By using Sales Layer we have all our content organized in just one spot. We are able to connect multilingual content to our products and connect this with amazon trough a simple connector. The forms can be created and modified from scratch in an easy way. you don't have to be an IT specialist to do this. I'm really happy with the excel upload and download capabilities.

PROS

Really easy to implement and to organise in a way which fits with the company

CONS

There is a maximum upload size of 250mb for uploading images in a zip. This is very low.
