Keeping it Real
Being able to run Design and Construct business in the one program is ideal. There are areas for improvement, however overall it has given our clients a better user experience for being able to better communicate our design and build ideas, proposals and updating clients about the project during construction.
PROSLove that it has the option to provide a well rounded service from start to finish in handling clients from lead stage, to design, quotation proposals and build management. Not many options out there that combine design and construction components in one program.
CONSLeads that come through are hit and miss. A lot of scam leads. However, have had some very successful leads. Needs little better handling and efficiency across the system and better user friendly interface for the app.

Great Customer Service
I am at a 50% right now. There are features that I love, and again, features that surprisingly are absent.
PROSI've found the online chat feature on Houzz to be incredibly helpful. It's become my go-to whenever I have questions while browsing the platform.
CONSSeveral features that I believe should be standard offerings are either absent or require cumbersome workarounds within the Houzz platform. Despite being assured that user feedback is integral to driving improvements, none of the suggestions I've provided have been implemented to date.

Honestly, Houzz had a booth at KBIS. The person working at the booth was convincing. Although not honest with what I was signing, she was good at getting the sale.

Great Platform For Architects and Designers
Overall we are very happy with Houzz and hope to be able to continue being one of their Houzz Pro clients.
PROSI like how it has evolved into a design focused platform, and how its focusing on helping professionals manage businesses. Our primary interest in Houzz was to have an additional portfolio that could be easily found by prospective clients. Next our focus was keeping up to date with customer satisfaction. Currently we have found better and better clients who have found us through Houzz. This company has definitely focused on improving itself.
CONSThe cost is a bit too high for us currently.

Best product I found for a general contractor
My overall experience with Houzz Pro has been very satisfactory. I wish I had an hour a week to get familiar with all the features I’m paying for. I’m sure there’s things I could be using this app more efficiently than I’m currently doing it.
PROSMy favorite features about Houzz Pro are all the ones I use, since those are the only ones I know how to use. I’m so busy, but I need to take time to learn other features. LIDAR capture, floor plan editing, project management, estimating and invoicing, file upload, price catalog, And there’s more
CONSI don’t like paying $99 a month, but nothing else compares with Houzz Pro at this price.

Houzz Pro Review
I am a fan of Houzz Pro Review! It has been very helpful to me and my business. The features, the functionality, and the ease of use. I've used several project management software programs and I cannot recommend Houzz Pro Review enough.
PROSHouzz Pro Review has helped me streamline my small business, making proposals and invoicing simple.
CONSNot a lot of help in the beginning. I asked for a walkthrough in setting up my account and was basically told to go look at training videos. I felt like they were all over me, hounding me when they thought I might use the software for website and marketing but when it turned out I only wanted the project management software the customer service fell off real quickly.

Other than studio designer, I looked at Monday again but I wasn't really all that impressed.

New to Houzz Pro but really enjoying it so far!
Merged 3 different softwares into one! Houzz pro is really an all in one software.
CONSRight now I am in the learning curve of something new. I would like to be able to edit the questionnaire a bit more and have contracts that I can send to clients.

Great software for Interior Designers
Overall houzz is a very valuable tool for my business, and helps our design firm source and track products for our clients
PROSOur team uses Houzz Pro to source product for clients, track billable hours, send proposals to clients, invoice clients, create purchase orders, and track products through installation. Essentially I view Houzz Pro as a fantastic PRODUCT MANAGEMENT software.
CONSSome things I dont like about Houzz Pro; it could be much more robust when it comes to helping a manager of a larger design firm manage time and billable hours, etc. I wish there was a dashboard where I could see real time info on who is clocked in for billable time, how many billable hours our team has recorded for the month or year, as well as sales data reporting. I used to own a boutique and used Quickbooks Point of Sale and it had an amazing dashboard where I could customize the reports and see all sorts of important info as the business owner. All that data is inside Houzz but there's not an admin dashboard that at a glance gives you data reporting. Also the CRM feature could be better.

I actually use Asana in tandem with Houzz Pro. I chose Houzz Pro over Mydoma though because I personally liked the interface more.

HP... a work in progress!
We do like the system overall! The client facing system is professional; however, there are several enhancements we are waiting for to make this a one stop shop for our clients and our projects.
PROSWe love the room boards and file storage.
CONSThere is a LONG way to go to get the Selections Reports we need without doctoring the documents we export from HP. Also... the online payment options are confusing and have caused us to look foolish as it is not easy to navigate for our clients.

Beware, not the end all that you are promised.
Pressure, a word that accurately describes the sales tactics after you subscribe to purchase the extras needed to supposedly make it all work.
PROS3d plans, estimating. And customer info management.
CONSDoes not mesh well with quick books Canada. We participated in an hour long survey for a 100.00$ credit. It took 8 messages to support and 3 months to recieve.We have been ghosted on asking to cancel for 3 weeks now. FYI they cancel support tickets after 48 hours.Change orders are horrible, FYI will not hold up in a Nova Scotia court. Unable to adjust invoices if posted. Lots of spam.They promise you the moon only to find out you need to pay +600.00$ more a month to use the lead generation part.Pricing increases of 40$ this month per user.Better solutions exist for less money. It's really not Canadian friendly.

Every thing is at my fingertips.
Absolutely the most comprehensive and complete management app I have used, currently.
PROSThe start-up tool and the photo measurement tool. Very easy to use.
CONSAn accounting tool like Quickbooks but part of the Houzz Pro management package. Maybe integration of financing options for potential clients. It would completely overtake the market. It would put Houzz Pro in a position of exclusivity no one could dismiss.

While these other product are very valuable in what they offer: accounting software, financing options for clients and crm programs, Houzz Pro has done a far superior job in the estimating/invoicing/pricing/online payments and the communication platform for messaging between clients and contractor.

Overall happy
Customer service is responsive - usually able to get in touch with someone in a day or so.
PROSthat its user friendly. It does have many nuances that I have had to figure out the hard way, but that is true of any program.
CONSI have mentioned these issues else where and super hopeful they will be addresses in time.

My doma barely had any funtionality, Studio Designer was too complicated with way too much room for error. I have been very happy with Houzz and excited to see the new funtionality when it launches soon. I don't love the connection to Houzz. I don't use Houzz as a marketing tool as all. Its also confusing to clients as to what Houzz Pro is and how its related to Houzz for consumers.

Landscape Designer & Houzz Pro
My overall satisfaction would be a 9 out of 10 rating. As I mentioned in my previous message about the "cons," with Houzz Pro unable to provide a client app is why I am only rating this a 9 out of 10. Other than this I am extremely satisfied for now with Houzz Pro. I am really curious to find out if there is anything on the IT side in hopes of a new app development coming out any time soon.
PROSI love that everything you need from start to finish for my projects are all stored through the Houzz Pro dashboard. It doesn't matter how large or small the scale of my projects, Houzz Pro seems to have everything I need in order to properly manage projects.
CONSI do wish there was an app feature for my clients to use. The homeowners that trust me to take on their large projects are extremely busy people as well, as some are CEOs and CFOs to large companies. The larger projects require way more management which requires way more communication between myself and my client. These extremely busy homeowners would benefit from an app for them to log in and see their dashboard, messages, documents directly from their phone or tablet with just a hit of their finger. This is the largest request I am receiving from my clients and I agree with them, that a homeowner app for houzz pro would be crucial in leveling up my customer satisfaction which ultimately will increase my overall satisfaction with Houzz Pro.

Houzz Pro was able to integrate both the marketing/advertising and the project dashboard together. Using this has allowed more leads come through my pipeline than what I was seeing before.

Really good deal of the money
We have kept them the longest of the CRMs we've tried. They're not perfect but still better than most other fplatform.
PROSHouzz has so many features we haven't used all of them yet.
CONSThe search function is none existent and managing messages is clunky.

Great integration of portfolio, website, advertising
I have had a steady reliable account manager who regularly checks in with me to outline new features that were introduced, and even actually created the first version of our website which I subsequently tweaked a bit and personalized, but I was really impressed that she took the time to do this. This is definitely unique in the marketplace.
PROSI like the integration between our Houzz profile content and creating a website from it. It allows me to keep a portfolio of our work that I can direct clients to along with the creation and management of our website which is hosted by Houzz. It provides a single portal for managing leads from people who choose us in general searches on Houzz such as what they call Houzz Project Match, to leads that come directly through our website which is hosted by Houzz. They all show up in the same place. With the addition of the website tools and a fair bit of customization of our website using them, it has really provided an easy solution for a fair bit of our marketing. I would highly recommend it, especially for a smaller company that does not already have an up to date website. Also, remarkably, since hosting our website on Houzz our organic search engine ranking is unexpectedly high after switching over a year ago.
CONSI would love even more website creation tools but I also recognize that with more complexity, it might go beyond my capability to use these new tools.

As far as I know Houzz is pretty unique. The combination of allowing you to have a public portfolio alongside a website hosted by them, and the opportunity to reach new clients, it is really a unique offering.

Areas for Improvement
Overall, it has been an okay experience. The program is good but in the 4 years I have been paying I have only had 1 prospective client become a client and completed a project. I think that the idea is to pay more to get more areas but so far, I have not been able to the money I have invested in Houzz.
PROSI like that the program is easy to use. [sensitive content hidden], my sales rep has made all the difference and always convinces me to keep renewing the membership. She is very prompt to reply all of my questions.
CONSI feel that most of the clients are not serious about their projects. It bothers me that I take the time to reply to their inquiry and they do not even acknowledge it. When I call sometimes, they act surprised. It would be great to ask the prospective client how serious or if they are just searching for ideas.I have met with several prospective clients, and I feel they just wanted my ideas and then hired a contractor to implement them.I would like a better program to draw and present to clients with a better selection of furnishings. The design program only has a limited selection of furnishings. It could be more user friendly.Calls:I do not pick-up unknown numbers, it would be ideal that if a Houzz Rep is calling because they have a match on the phone, that the id says Houzz says HOUZZ, so I know to pick it up.

One Stop Design Business Management
My experience has being great, I started using Houzz more as a marketing tool, but as I discover the massive amount of tools it provides, I run my entire business from it.
PROSI have being a user since I open my studio 4 years ago. Over the years I have being very surprised many times as they keep making the workflow more intuitive and keep adding features that make my work much more easier. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their design management and client communication tools. I am sure once you use it you hardly would want to use anything else.
CONSHouzz continues to improve constantly, so I have the good feeling they they will address some glitches that come here and there. I am not super fan of their calendar appointment integration, I think there is a lot of room for improvement there, it isn't reliable, luckily I add my other booking links to my Houzz templates to overcome this.. and it works for me

Scam
HORRENDOUS. I am still having to pay monthly for something we cannot even use. Zero customer service. Zero training. Zero care for their customers.
PROSThis product has a lot of features that could be useful if Houzz actually taught you how to use it. Buyer beware. Customer service is nonexistent.
CONSThey sold me on something they promised we would get ample training on. They started our subscription before the 30 day trial was up then refused to cancel our subscription. They paired us with an advisor that was in a time zone 4 hours behind us so we were never able to connect. Then when we finally did, she ran through her "training" in less than 5 minutes. After expressing my concerns about the time difference with our trainer, they placed us with someone in Arkansas. The night before our training I got an email cancelation with no explanation of why he canceled. Anytime I had a question I'd try to use the online chat option. It would take someone 3-5 days to reply. When they did replay, they just referred me to links on the website and youtube videos. TRAINING does not exist. They ran me through hours of calls trying to get this resolved but all the account manager kept telling me was that she'd give me 1 month free and she was sorry I felt the way I did. SCAMMERS. Robotic. They do not care that they sold me on something that was a pure lie. Look at other reviews. I am not the only one.

Houzz Pro - Makes Running My Small Design Firm Easier!
I love working with my Houzz Associate! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is the most helpful representative I've ever had since the early days of using Houzz. With the new changes that come through every month, he takes the time to help me take full advantage of my membership!
PROSI love the image integration of Houzz Pro and the referral system improvements. I now have more specific client leads that are closer to who we remodel for. Houzz Ideabooks are our favorite tool, but we have also been early adopters of both Houzz and Ivy and their client proposal/invoicing program. I am looking forward to more developments of the merger of the two companies.
CONSWhen Houzz makes a development change it isn't always for the good of the users. However, when I speak to my Houzz Associate directly, they will walk through my concern and take it back to tech support if something that I found critical changed and find a work around or have it come back.

Doesn't fit our current business model
Our purpose in using Houzz Pro was to bring in quality leads. That was the only function we desired to use it for, bringing us leads that fit our business model. Our hope was that Houzz Pro would filter out leads that weren't a good fit, and connect us with people who were a good fit. That's two separate objectives, and Houzz Pro isn't meeting either of those. Most of the leads we get are not looking to hire at all, or they aren't looking to hire a company like ours. They're looking to hire directly, not work with a general contractor.
PROSHouzz Pro has a good look and is constantly updating it's capabilities.
CONSSome of the newer features are more about Houzz doing something, than creating a product that connects quality leads with professionals. They make a lot of noise and do a lot of things, but no one really benefits. Concierge services, especially has been very unhelpful. Also, they way Houzz Pro redesigned it's format is not as user friendly for our objectives.

We were optimistic that Houzz Pro could filter out people who weren't serious about renovating, as well as those who wanted to hire tradesmen. It looked like they had a good way of doing this.
