About iSqFt Takeoff

iSqFt Takeoff is a standalone takeoff solution that works for different verticals including architecture, roofing, paving and various types of contractors.

The system offers 2D takeoff, CAD file and digitizer integration and onscreen takeoff capabilities. It is a web-based solution that allows the user to export takeoffs to Excel and an estimating program.

Hot links allow users to pull up spec sheets or details and a customizable layer database means that layers can be saved for future use after they are created.

Takeoff images can be saved and then sent via email. It is compatible with digital file formats including tif, dwg, bmp, and pdf. It also provides cost calculations for area, length, volume, surface area and slope. Users can access and load multiple drawings simultaneously. iSqFt Takeoff uses color coding to track takeoff revisions.

iSqFt is a great software for contractors

Pros

I like iSqFt, because it help me grow my construction business. Not only can you do a take off but it also send you jobs out for bid in your working area.

Cons

iSqFt should make the take off setting a bit easier to use. It get a bit of complicated once you start a takeoff. Also they should make it just a hair more affordable.

This is a decent software

Great for big companies who does a lot of construction.

Pros

I liked having this software while dealing with McDonald's. I really like being able to have all of their documents in one place.

Cons

I do not like how slow it takes to load things. It is excel based which I appreciate. The loading would be slow and not very accurate.

Average Takeoff Software

Pros

This takeoff software is easy to navigate. There is a lot of information on 1 screen, so you don't have to constantly be changing screens tin order to view needed information.

Cons

This software also offers access to bids. Their bid list is limited and various other software systems have access to more available bids than isqft.

iSqFt

Pros

It is used widely throughout the construction industry which makes sharing plans easier since most companies have it.

Cons

it seems very cumbersome. Maybe to much for the simple things I wanted to measure. It seems like the people around me who like it most are the ones willing to spend a lot of time truly understanding its capabilities.

Great Bang for your buck

Pros

It allows you to quickly do a full takeoff without confusing which trades you are estimating, I definitely recommend it!

Cons

Exporting to excel could be better, every time you need to re do a take off you have to re export it.

Digital Takeoff never been easier

Takeoffs never been easier.

Pros

Takeoffs have never been easier or more accurate. The days of frustrating rebids and missed estimates are in the past.

Cons

The only con is I may miss out on jobs if our competitors learn to harness this program correctly for their bids.
