Purchase orders from our big retail partners flow straight in, and invoices and ASNs flow back out, without us hand-keying transactions one at a time. It connects cleanly with NetSuite and the rest of our systems, so wholesale orders move through our workflow with far fewer man hours than before. As we have added retail accounts it has scaled right along with us instead of forcing us to add headcount. Their customer service has also been top notch whenever we needed help onboarding a new trading partner or troubleshooting a document. #### Cons If I had to pick something, EDI by its nature has a learning curve, and there is some up-front work to get each new trading partner and document type mapped correctly. It´s important to mention that 95% of our Purchase Orders arrive by EDI. There are few suppliers that work with Sage Business Vision (Our System) and True Commerce has worked excellent for us. Issues are rare but when one does come up they are quick to handle it. Tech Support is knowledgable and pleasant to work with. They are quick to respond to emails and for emergency issues they are only a phone call away. The system is secure, we have had no issues with security or data breaches. I feel we get good value for the cost of the service. The integration saves me considerable time and is worth every penny. #### Cons I have no complaints about TrueCommerce. Our mapping was making a transmission cutting out a decimal than the original invoice. We did not discover it was doing that until after 2 years of operation. Their support though makes life easy as an IT Professional to ensure that orders are flowing. EDI is the lifeblood of any new business, and as result without a functioning EDI, issues will arise. TC is not set it and forget it, but it is set is and watch it. I equate TC to smoking meat. You put it in, watch it carefully, and enjoy the ride. #### Cons The only issue I have with TC is the lack of ability to automate connections and information into ERP for item information. Meaning that when a change happens in NetSuite, you have to update every trading partner. Also, the ability to integrate with SAP. #### Cons That over the last few years it seems that the updates being made to partner plug-ins have caused us chargebacks and I no longer feel confident in the validity of the documents we are sending out to our partners. Now I have to carefully scrutinize every change notice to make sure something hasn't been done that will cause a rejected document and subsequent chargeback (i.e. making a previously mandatory field optional when it really is mandatory...at least for us). It is more user friendly than it has been in the past before this system was updated. I allows me to do most of our EDI turnaround without much issue. #### Cons There have been at least 2 times, that come to mind, where the system has been down for breaches in security which had prohibited us from accessing our daily orders for 36 hours. We have stringent timelines to meet with many of our customer that upon not fulfilling we are subject to hefty fines. A lot of the EDI turnaround is automatic and wish New dates for customers could auto populate instead of having to enter the same information each time. Stay far away. #### Cons We were promised a product and then later found out that they could actually not deliver that product AFTER we had signed a contract and been confirmed multiple times with their sales guy. It took 3 months for them to go back for forth and we were patient as they tried to figure it out. They said our fault we will give you a refund and cancel the contract/service. It has now been 6 months and we have had to argue to get a refund which we HAVE NOT received, no one can seem to figure out how to cancel the service so that we dont continue to receive more charges. every month we get charged and every time we reach out and have the SAM conversation. Overall, you can do all the tasks that you are required to do, and the reach of this EDI is extensie. Unfortunately, the program appears outdated, aside from the look and feel of the UI, there are limitations to certain functions in the program, which can sometimes spend more time than what would generally be required. Should some of the features be refined, the EDI could be quite good. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 2/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros The functions and reach of the program was good, many options are provided in terms of the task you are trying to complete on DiCentral. Extensive records are kept, including a user history, which is convenient to recall when you need to trace prior steps. #### Cons While there are numerous functions, those functions are sometimes dysfunctional, if that makes sense. For instance, creating and submitting advanced shipment notices is rather antiquated, as you need to manually type out the dimensions for each line, as opposed to entering the dimensions for each item and having those dimensions applied to the relative items on the relative lines.
