About Titan GPS

Titan GPS is a cloud-based fleet management solution that helps fleet operators track and manage vehicles, equipment and mobile assets across Canada and the United States. GPS tracking hardware and tailored service plans are also available. Titan GPS is recommended for any size business that relies on fleet assets.

The Titan GPS mapping dashboard utilizes Google Maps and optional mapping overlay PatchMaps for the western Canadian oil and gas sector along with API integrations of GIS maps and other third-party applications.

Live tracking, history, landmarks, driver behaviour and coaching, alerts, service reminders and fleet analytics help users manage costs, track productivity and monitor safety. Other available hardware includes electronic logging devices (ELD), fleet camera systems and mobile WiFi.

Pricing includes a one-time hardware cost and monthly maintenance fees.

Titan GPS Review

It has been a great experience with Titan GPS, we use it everyday for our company and the people we deal with through Titan are always helpful and get things done in a matter of minutes.

Pros:

The customer service is amazing, anytime you call the person on the other end is always cheerful and have an amazing attitude. They always figure whatever is needed out fast which is very appreciated

Cons:

It would be that it doesn't give notifications on the app if a driver has a violation or malfunction which would help the drivers in knowing when they are over hours or have left themselves on duty

Its been pretty good. No real complaints. Installs are quite simple.

Occasionally it will give me the wrong location of where an employee is

We left Telus and switched to Rogers so we switched GPS Companies too

Violation Glitch

Fairly decent with a few annoying glitches. Would be good if something could be done about them. ( as stated above)

Ease of use. I don’t have much else to say.

Cons:

The fact that we keep getting violation notices even when we are off duty and have up loaded the information. Especially my self. As I get a notice of violation almost every day.

Titan is ahead of the game in GPS

We’ve done test runs on with other GPS companies that were anything but impressive. Titan makes sense for any business looking for Fleet management.

Reasons for choosing Titan GPS

Titan is years ahead of other gps companies but what stands out the most is the common sense platform with tech support always available. Other platforms are over done and hard to use.

Being able to locate vehicles almost at all times

Cons:

The trailers and equipment don’t update their location very often which makes it hard to see equipment moving between job sites; and live video feed cuts out

The app stalls, freezes, fails to track, have had to uninstall countless time just to make it work

so really liked the auto connect better it was way easier to use on my phone the new one is way to small and not as good.

Cons:

It’s way to small and hard to manage compared to auto connect

Overall a good product

Overall the support staff are helpful when their services are needed, although reaching support via phone is a challenge. Via email or support ticket is the way to go

Pros:

Easy web services and portal. The installation is very straightforward. There are a lot of options and reports you can run on the portal.

Cons:

The AP1 camera units we had were plagued with bugs and issues. We completely switched to just GPS OBD2 dongles and haven't had any major issues since then.

Planned obsolescence at its finest.

I have a really tough time thinking about giving this company more business because what is stopping them from doing this again in 5 years and forcing everyone to purchase more hardware.

While it worked it performed as advertised.

Cons:

I purchased their CTS tracking solutions product back in 2019. Roger’s is no longer supporting the 3G network and I was given notification that all of the hardware I purchased will no longer work. They gave me recommendations on other products I could purchase with zero compensation or trade in value with my current system.

We realize that it's a burden, but are trying to get ahead of things before 4G pushes out it's predecessor.
