A Safe Fleet is a Good Fleet
The access for my drivers rocks! Also the reporting gives me a quick look at any issues with my fleet.

Robust, yet simple fleet management. I highly Recommend it.
Whip Around is a critical part of managing our fleet. It allows our drivers to easily go through a custom checklist pre- and post-trip, which will email the admins of any failures or maintenance issues that are found so they can be quickly resolved. We also use Whip Around to track the miles and have set custom notifications at certain milestones for maintenance BEFORE it's due so that we can plan for downtime, etc. The maintenance module allows us to easily run repots on the overall costs per vehicle which helps us project allowances in our budget quite accurately.
CONSThe app is always in the portrait orientation. It would be great if when you turned the device it went into landscape.

Terrible End to a Decent Product
We used Whip Around for 2+ years to good effect even though it was a bit expensive for our smaller company. They recently doubled our price and charged us for 2 months due to a convoluted cancellation process that is not well laid out in their Terms of Use.
PROSSimple to Build Forms and track Assets. Fairly Customizable.
CONSLimitations on some forms. Fees doubled over a weekend. Cancellation process leaves much to be desired. There are better alternatives for cheaper now.

Running a Transportation Company for the First Time
I often tell folks, if I didn't run a transportation company I'd be the national sales manager for the U.S. for Whip Around. I'm 100% on the team.
PROSThe ability to save, sort and analyze data without a team of staff to transfer paper spreadsheets to complex excel files.
CONSWhile the platform design and function has certainly improved since the early days, and I'm pretty sure our company was one of your first U.S. subscribers, there is always room for growth in user/admin functionality and site navigation. But I'm confident you have people already on it.

PROSI love the ease of being able to teach new employees how to use the software in less than a day. Its very simple compared to others i have used.

Lifesaver
I stepped into a situation with 30 Recreational Vehicles with varying conditions and I was drowning trying to figure out which units needed what work. After researching and receiving demos from multiple providers, I did a trial of this and was sold. The utility of this tool is great and I cannot imagine trying to keep track of all these units the way we had before I bought this business.
PROSWhipAround understands what's important about finding, managing and resolving defects to a vehicle. From start to finish I can digitally facilitate this aspect of my work, keep straight the status of the units, communicate clearly to several stakeholders, including insurance companies. The interface is intuitive and I can navigate around it easily with links to an inspection, a defect, a form, an asset readily available.
CONSThere are times that my inspections (which can take over an hour) will time out and I will lose my work in the middle of it. Doesn't happen often, and I think it might be if my phone switches from wifi to cell signal, but it has been frustrating. I also wish I had access to landscape photography and larger resolution images if needed.

Highly Recommend Whip Around! so much so I introduced it to my new employer from my old one.
Whip around has really helped me in managing fleets, I wish I had this app when i managed a fleet of 150 frac pumps, it would have made life so simple.
PROSThe simplicity, but the customer service is why I love using it, they have helped me step for step in learning how to use, manage, and train using the app.
CONSThe Wallet added price, it is well worth it, however I still have to do what it does manually inhouse so there is no use in paying an additional 2.00 per truck.

I had used whip around at my previous employer, as well as motive, while i like the daily milage reports i can get through motive and the camera system, we had no need for a camera system in our small fleet, so it was essentially a waste of money.

Great one stop shop for maintenance overview
Great Product that keeps my fleet on the right side of DOT compliance.
PROSUser interface is intuitive and really easy to use. The overview for a driver and his tasks he needs to complete are easily identified and performed leading to 100% compliance.

Whip Around Benefits Companies With Remote Employees
Whip Around solved a lot of difficulties with a completely remote workforce in that drivers have no reason not to submit paperwork and payroll on time. Now they cannot submit late and claim that the email was lost. If they can take a picture they can submit their trip sheets. We can design and then arrange inspection cards for any subject quickly and easily in a way that makes performing and completing them easier for the drivers who can execute them in less than two minutes from anywhere they happen to be at any time avoiding excuses such as they were working and didn't have access to their PC. Whip Around app provides time stamps and a GPS location at the time of report submissions which eliminates a lot excuses and abuse. Generally our employees like it and even our 1099 drivers appreciate the tool. Used creatively, Whip Around has provided us with several ways to solve problems associate with an entirely remote workforce prior to the pandemic, allowed us to conform to requirements that developed out of the pandemic, as well as provide proof of vehicle and driver condition should our client's employees would try to throw our people or vehicles under the bus to collect overtime or play favorites with local transport providers they know personally whenever we enter a new contracted area.
PROSIts ease of use especially for our drivers who are not always equipped with a personal computer.
CONSThere are no cons with Whip Around that I can think of.

A combination of benefits with one of the highest being the reduction of repair costs thanks to photo inspections. Remote employees can write anything on paper forms or just submit the same copied paper forms over and over with a new date on it to hide damage to the vehicles. With a remote workforce we would get new hires who tried to hide the fact that they are homeless, intended to reside in the vehicle, and others intended to use our vehicle to run their own taxi service when they applied. With one of our local delivery operations we could never get accurate or consistent data regarding what appeared to be vehicle and fuel card abuse. Through creative use of Whip Around it was evident that the managers were involved in the deception and were intentionally altering paperwork and reports. We decided to employ Whip Around and the managers and employees had no idea that we were using the app to collect data across different departments/subjects designed to reveal the suspected unauthorized activates and managerial deception.

Amazing tool for remotely managing fleet and driver staff
Overall, Whip-Around is a great product and a very effective tool.
PROSI am part of a team that manages over 70 drivers and a fleet of 33 vehicles in 16 states. This software has been the perfect solution to remotely manage pre and post trip reports, vehicle maintenance, and driver compliance. It’s very simple to implement with drivers due in large part to not require special or expensive equipment - most of our drivers use the free app on their own smartphones. We also use inexpensive Samsung tablets which we leave on the vehicles (one per vehicle). Other great features are the document management for fleet and drivers, mechanic notifications and updates, and the ease of generating reports and summaries.
CONSThe only thing I would like to see improve is the driver communication tools. Currently, there is no feature in place that notifies drivers of the status of faults they reported. There is a feature to leave comments on a fault report, but drivers are not notified of those comments. Also, there is a feature to alert drivers if they miss a report or to send them reminders, however, it only sends these notifications via the app for drivers, so they would have to be logged in to see it. Sending text messages directly to the drivers via their personal mobile phones would be much more effective.

Inspections & Maintenance
I have loved using Whip Around. Since we have started using it, it has automated our maintenance program so when a service is due, it automatically creates a work order and sends i to our mechanic. One of the other best parts is the customer service. They have ALWAYS been prompt and helpful.
PROSWe do all our vehicle inspections with this software. I like making sure that inspections are done by the drivers by forcing them to take pictures of all 4 sides of the vehicle. It also helps if we find damage to be able to go back and find when it appeared and have proof.
CONSI am still working on figuring out the maintenance side of it. There have been several improvements. The one issue is that a drivers comments do not appear on a work order. When you turn a defect to a work order, it only shows the category. For example, lights, when the driver fails it and says right headlight out, it only shows on the work order as a light failure.
Reasons for switching to Whip Around
We tried it out for a short trial period and realized we were able to eliminate 2 other subscriptions for this one andI am glad that we did with the service level that I have received.

This is the Program You Want
We've been able to reduce down time, accurately track repairs, and keep a regular maintenance schedule with ease since starting with whip around. The whole experience has been great and I am very happy with the decision I made.
PROSThe software is easy to use, the setup is quick and easy and the company overall is great. You can tell that they care about their customers and want to improve their product to suit our needs. I love being able to track all of the maintenance that has been done instantly every day, it has improved our maintenance program immensely.
CONSThere are really only a few things that I would like to see change, but they're minor inconveniences overall. First, I wish I could create a work order without a fault being required. I would like to just manually enter information about a fault and create a work order all in one step. Second, I would like to be able to search/ enter work that was performed on a machine by the parts that were replaced and the fault that caused them to fail. Right now I just have to do some digging to figure out which fault I need to look at again.

Too Expensive. We gone.
Price was way over the top.
PROSIt was easy on the layout. Drivers found the prestarts great.
CONSPrice. We run combinations, so it turned out too expensive to use and enter all the equipment. We have over 150+ assets. We found another company here in Australia (MEX) that was so much cheaper for us. We had a phone call from Whip Around and I explained the situation to her, and she asked higher above for better price for us. But the horse already bolted and we were signed up with MEX.

A Key to Success for our Small Business.
This product has revolutionized our business in terms of safety, policy and compliance to local, state and federal laws and regulations. It's so accessible and easy to use, that all of my drivers can get a handle on it after their first use and the admin dashboard that I use gives me all the tools I need to monitor and track compliance, maintenance and inspections.
PROSThe customization and ease of use is fantastic and means we can continue to use this platform no matter how big we grow. Customer Service is top notch and features are always being added. You can tell they truly care about their product.
CONSVery few complaints and only one worth mentioning. The integration options do not include the GPS tracking platform we currently use, which prevents WA from being "all-in-one" for us. I suspect that will change in time as more options are added.

Reminders Function
Really like the program, keep up the great work!
PROSOverall, the program is great. From a fleet management pov the ability to see the inspection reports, maintenance due and ability to assign work orders for repairs has vastly improved our fleet readiness. The ability to set up reminders for various things like license or medical certification expiration for drivers is a nice feature when they are away from the office.
CONSI wish there was a way to send drivers a text in the reminders section along with the notification through the app. I can send a text and notification for missed inspection through the exception report tab for missed pre-trips but not for reminders. I have had 2 drivers miss seeing the reminder notification from within the app. Adding the text feature to reminders would help provide another way to ensure they don't miss the reminder notification.

Great Product!
This software makes it extremely simple for me to monitor and manage my crews and their fleet on a daily basis. Because I am in the office, I am not on the front line with them daily, but with the help of this software it is like I am , in fact, out there with them because I know as soon as something is wrong. Or right for that matter! They submit to me daily an inspection of their vehicles giving me the piece of mind knowing that they are out there working and traveling safely!
PROSThe ability for me to know that my vehicles are maintained and in good condition on a daily basis, without me having to be out there inspecting them myself is great!
CONSAt this time there is no issue I have with Whip around and think that they development team is doing an exceptional job!

its a good system to work with . just as you work with it more you where some improvements can made . and tweeks to eleminate the repetetion .
PROSthe inspection if used properly are very helpful , the manitenance program is very good. .
CONSneed more admin and supervisor training on how to properly use the product so all departments benefit . drivers need more training on conducting inspection and what is safety and what is not . drivers need to be accountable more. on thing i would love to see . if a driver fails a unit on a pre or post trip . it should automatically go to out of service status . and noe should be able to conduct a inspection until repairsare made and signed off by mechanic and place back in service .

over all quick review
we have several drivers using the same vehicle on different days. in the past they'd forget to do an inspection and fake it on paperwork days later. now we know day of. if a driver had an issue and didn't report it the next days driver catches it at the beginning of the next shift. pictures tell a thousand words.
PROSwe looked at several options and Whip Around came out on top. it's an off the shelf product that can be customized a bit for our needs
