The system’s electronic visit verification allows users to verify visits at the point of care and ensure compliance. Pros

Do not do the mistake of signing a contract with these guys. They do not honor their contract terms!!!!! They will tell you anything to sign up and once you do, they will look for ways to make more money off of you by calling and making false statements so you can do more additional unnecessary addons.

Cons

They have the longest wait times! You will be stuck on the phone for hours waiting for help. The SOC is ridiculous compared to other softwares. Please do yourself and your staff a favor and choose something that will make life a lot easier. We had people call us numerous times to forcefully sell us their mobile software claiming that California will start EVV soon and we needed to be ready and compliant (FALSE). Synergy or DSL will serve your company a lot better... schedule a demo to see the difference immediately!

The only thing nice was the pricing. Initially we had little training but it was semi simple to catch on to.

Cons

The company will put you out of compliance if you do not understand the COPs. The customer service is horrible and their software should be investigated. They have their education webcasts that do nothing but feed you lies. After 7 months of using a different software I am not sure how we did it before.

Very convenient window form which allows me to open multiple tabs at a time. Great for multi-tasking.

Accessing from a mobile is terrible. It's not adaptive to mobile devices and can't see everything on screen.

Overall affordable lower end of the EMR systems, very commonly used in the home care industry, get what you pay for kind of a program. Fulfills all of our basic needs.

Pros

Easy to use, and easy to educate those on field visits along with those in the office. Recently underwent a transition of EMR software from one to another and was easier to input new information into axxess in comparison to our previous EMR vendor.

Cons

Horrible customer service. They go through periods of not answering or answering but the tech on the line does not know what the question is and/or what our home care needs are to properly answer

Am able to open multiple windows.

Cons

Where do I begin... I have been a Registered Nurse for 16 years and during my time being a nurse, I have used multiple software systems. From the software I used in the hospitals to home health and this software is the worst I have ever used...It loses my work. It takes me 3 hours to complete a SOC OASIS and the updates do not improve this software; it makes it worse. Completing the POC IS HORRID. This is suppose to cut time, but it does not. You will be completing paper work way beyond midnight. Not user friendly.

As web based Home Health Agency software goes, Axxess is now at the bottom of the heap in our Agency's opinion. Axxess's Medicare Conditions of Participation software update roll-out was an absolute disaster. Many months of silence after the fact, the CEO had the audacity to reach out to Agency clients and blame the software engineers for their inadequacy.... A smart person can tell how a company is run based on how that company treats it's employees, and throwing them under the bus and blaming others when "the buck stops with the CEO" is cowardly and totally unacceptable.

If Axxess really wants to be more competitive they should listen to their users first and foremost, act quickly to prioritize and implement user suggestions and forgo planning any more significant feature upgrades during normal hours of their client's business operation. This means upgrading and testing over nights and weekends to ensure minimal disruption to their paying clients as possible.

We have literally had our clinicians and office employees spinning their wheels for many afternoons because the software was unavailable due to upgrade usability issues.

Also, Axxess has become more draconian in its application of CMS Conditions of Participation processes, which created chaos with our clinical employees. All Axxess really needs to do is ensure the functionality exists for compliance and let the Agency decide the best way to integrate these processes through permissions.

Pros

Web based platform ensures compatibility with all operating systems across all devices. Mobile specific App for Android and iOS ensures ease of use on the go with home health specific messaging, documentation, signature capture, GPS location and time signature features needed for this specific industry.

Cons

Agency Core needs serious updates to the usability and "core" functionality to adapt software to the industry's common (but ever changing) back end processes.
Reports functionality needs to include better features for customization so Agency office personnel can create more detailed and useful report output.
Agency Core Messaging functionality needs an option to search sent, received and deleted messages for time-saving convenience.
Forms generated by the system need to be improved for "fit and finish" and a more professional look.

User friendly, Greatest strength is the interface for performing all clinician progress notes, Oasis Etc. Customer Support is always available to help you and resolve the issues, (if you may have one.) they are very professional and the wait time is very reasonable compared with others. Stays on top of regulatory changes with smooth updates. New Agency training experience was amazing (Vareena) help us with every question and even when the agency finished the training, she has always been there to help us with new updates etc. I really recommend Axxess to be your EMS solution for Home Health.

Cons

Haven't found any cons in almost 1 year of use with Axxess. The software has exceeded all my expectations.

I like the the easy use of using the app on my phone, the patient signature app feature is wonderful and convenient. I love that the app is not limited to physical therapy and that other healthcare professionals can collaborate with therapists so that there's more of a team approach to the patient's care. I was also quite impressed with the proactive customer service approach in which they repeatedly contacted me to ensure my question was answered.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve in the beginning and also I wish that I wouldn't get inundated with general messages from other disciplines that don't pertain to me; if the software was a little more specific to each user in that sense, that would be more convenient.

I work QA and have worked with 6 different software systems, so have had ample opportunity to evaluate and compare the software available. Axxess is an easy system for the people in the field to use, but is lacking for all others.
The worst thing about axxess are all of the "glitches"! The system goes down as frequently as the stock market! There is little to no customer service, especially on the weekend. I was placed on hold for support once for over an hour, at which point I finally hung up.
What Axxess lacks in software reliability it makes up for in marketing! If only all of the people who are busy sending out e-mails about how wonderful they were would actually work to make the system wonderful, it would be flawless! I work with several agencies, so I get several messages a week telling me how good Axxess is, while I am trying to get the system to work!
