Ceridian Dayforce is a comprehensive cloud platform that combines HR, payroll, benefits, workforce management, and talent management in a single application. The scalable platform is built with a single, flexible rules engine combined with real-time updates and calculations that help address complex regulatory requirements.

Pay is calculated continuously throughout the pay period. Data is stored in a single, central location and can provide data-driven insights across all HR functions. Ceridian Dayforce can be accessed using any device on web or mobile.

Able to use on the computer and your mobile phone with a App, had a help option which gave you instructions on how to use each section. very well laid out! Also really enjoyed the feature to find what your missing when approving payroll.

Cons

Wasn't able to do everything on on the App on my phone like make the schedule, approve pay roll, would be nice to be able to everything on the app that you can on the desktop site

Pros

It has an engaging interface. I find it easy to process payroll which I can also access from my phone.

Cons

I don't have any problem with this app. Though it requires changing of password very often which annoys me.

Nothing. There is nothing this program does that another program cant do better. Manager functions on the app are nonexistent. All managerial work must be done on a computer. Even on a computer, they're impossible!

Cons

It is counterintuitive. Generally, a pain in the butt. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU OWN A RESTAURANT! It wont help you with anything. Any money you save in labor, will inevitably be spent on figuring out how to use it. Even then, then, you will be disappointed.

Not Much good to say as a user. The interface looks nice, but is not user friendly. Not sure it is worth the integration.

Cons

Confusing wording. Constant alerts that you have to delete (who needs another inbox)? When you open the software, a pop up blocks the item you are trying to use (crazy). During pay period lockdowns, you can't do anything but still get reminders and alerts. Worse EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE IT SAYS YOU MIGHT LOSE YOUR WORK even though there is no save button.... what are you supposed to do? Leave it open and worry all the time?

Cons

getting support can take several days or weeks unless it is super urgent (related to payroll). You are able to rank the priority (1-5), however, Dayforce can lower the priority (from a 5 to a 4) if not a production impact (e.g. payroll related).

I LOVE the system! We just went through the Thomas fire in Southern California and without this system we would not have been able to communicate with our staff. While we were being evacuated, I was trying to send payroll and if we were still with ADP we never would have been able to. I would have had 750 employees that were evacuated, some had lost everything and they would not have gotten paid. Dayforce literally saved the day for everyone. We were closed for 5 weeks and without the messaging capability through Dayforce, we wouldn't have been able to communicate with our staff. I was able to check on employees and answer questions while I too was evacuated. The system gave us some relief in a time that was scary, emotionally draining and stressful. The gratitude I have for making this switch from ADP to Ceridian before the fire happened, can't be put into words. Other payroll professionals will know the stress of not being able to send a payroll, but in the worst time for me I did not have that stress. The system offers so much and no other Payroll & HR software provider even comes close.

Pros

Robust system, everything is in 1, constantly enhancing the system, Insights conference is AMAZING, XOXO website lets you communicate with other customers and is hands down a game changer

Cons

Because the system is so robust, the implementation is hard, reporting is outdated and formatting is not the best.

Ceridian Dayforce has helped our 4500+ employee company go from being bogged down by 90% paper to less than 5% paper which has been a huge cost and time savings. This is just one of the benefits of this amazing software.

Pros

That it is an all-in-one system that processes data in real-time... we are able to process a more accurate payroll and daily onsite checks.

Cons

They are moving off of Silverlight and onto HTML which seems to run a little bit slower than Silverlight. I am hoping that this will be solved when all module are running in HTML.

This software has a ton of potential, especially if you're willing to do the hard culture-change work that will be required to maximize it. However, if you aren't going to capitalize on the features, you'd very likely be better off with something a little less feature-heavy and more user-friendly. I would have loved to capitalize on the report creation features to benefit my company, however they are reserved for the highest admin level and therefore are privileges not easily granted.

Dayforce is much easier to navigate from an end user perspective, so training the field on authorizing schedules, time sheets, time away from work, and any kind of employment form (promotions, terminations, ect.) was successful at my organization. I think having a system that is simple to use has really helped us to increase our payroll accuracy across the organization since the field is more willing to be engaged.

Cons

The fact that some of their modules still use MS Silverlight, which means my browser choices are limited when working in the system.

Helpful HR tool, but should not be used for distributing/switching shifts for part-time employees.

It easily displays all employment information (pay stubs, address forms, emergency contact forms, etc).

Cons

The calendar function for picking up/dropping/switching shifts is very difficult to use. While it does show available shifts, it does not display the title of the shift, which may be necessary for certain industries. It also does not notify the user if a dropped/picked up shift has been approved, which is highly frustrating. This function is terrible on the mobile app, and only slightly better on the desktop version.

I am kind of neutral with dayforce. I don't hate it but I also don't love it. If it didnt have to load web components every single time I go to log on I might be happier with it.

Pros

I like that I can track my time sheet and view old paystubs and w2s. It is easy to navigate and put in time off requests.

Cons

It takes a long time to load. I have lost count of how many times I have went to log in to dauforce and 5-8 mins later am finally in the program and able to clock in or out.

It is a great tool for both an app and in browser. I definitely recommend it to keep track of hours, pay and scheduling. you can also put in time off requests.

Pros

I love the ease of navigation through the menus as well as the layout for finding your hours, pay and YTD information. The schedule and calendar are simple and easy to access.

Cons

The only downside was saving changes made on the hours, which was something I was having a little bit of trouble saving because my hours depended on me physically authorizing them in a separate screen. It is a two step security feature which can be a little tricky to miss in the app. It is good for validating hours though.

As with a lot of time management software, the UI is very dated looking. It's not bad or unintuitive, its just not as clean and simple as some other programs I've used in the past. However, this is purely an aesthetic thing and does not affect the functionality.

I use this program for work. I really like it. When I need to look up someone's address or their phone number I can find it right on Dayforce. There's also files you can store in dayforce. Dayforce is also used for clockin in and out, viewing your timesheets and looking at your paystubs.

Overall we were over time, off budget and did not get the original scope in. Dayforce folks were only able to help when issues were escalated to the highest level of support.

Lesson learned: you get what you pay for but wish someone at Ceridian had warned us of the lite project approach

Pros

Price was cheap for the functionality compared to many other providers and sales cycle was promising. There are some great people in the company who try to do their best by clients.

Implementation model price was also reasonable compared to market.

Cons

The company has grown a lot and they don’t have a knowledgeable staff compliment that understood my business. The result was too much time spent after implementation fixing things that were not done correctly.

Their various support teams did not work together in a seamless way for the customer. Prepare to have a lot of your own resources to sort things out if you go with them.

The software is fairly easy to use, easy to read, and updates instantly.

Cons

There are so many codes required, at least for my company. While the software itself is easy to navigate, I feel like I have to read a "how-to" document each time I fill out a timecard becuase of all the codes that have to accompany it.

I liked that the app made scheduling connected to staff availability and privided a template based on the needs of the business.

Cons

Sometimes there are glitches in availability. Some employees had a hard time using the app as well because they would forget their password and have to go through management to reset instead of their own email.
