The iCIMS Talent Acquisition Platform provides cloud-based software that enables users to manage the candidate lifecycle. 

The TextRecruit module is a mobile engagement platform with text messaging, live chat and natural language processing. The iCIMS Connect module enables candidate relationship management, pipeline management and provides a candidate-facing communication tool. The iCIMS Recruit module allows users to view the hiring pipeline from a single dashboard. Users can also automate job board postings, connect with job seekers through Google applications and set workflows to move candidates through the hiring process. 

The solution also provides paperless offer management that allows users to manage compliance with branded templates, e-signature integrations and clause management tools. Employee onboarding tools lets users create, assign and manage tasks. Users can configure processes to engage new hires before their first day and automate Form I-9s and E-Verify submissions.

Pros

iCIMS has the capability to house multiple jobs at once, which is perfect for corporations of any size. You are able to assign different managers for different positions, so managers do not have their own dashboards filled with (or access to) jobs that are not their own. As candidates apply, and positions are hired, there are many, configurable, statuses you can use to organize the applicant flow. Based on the positions and statuses, there are reports you can run as well to track your progress and view overall statistics on your recruitment process.

Cons

The reporting feature is incredibly capable, and has many options, but putting the reports together is not always user friendly. Sometimes it takes more trial and error than you'd originally expect it to.

The thing I like most about iCIMS is it's comparability with HRIS and ease of use. Post and tracking is real simple.

Cons

The least likable thing is reports. They are hard to make and the ones provided lack certain information. Portability is difficult, I used snipping tool for most of them.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time during the integration and adoption phase of using this platform. But once you get the kinks worked out, you'll notice a huge difference in the time you have to spend moving your candidates through the process.

Pros

The applicant tracking system is very robust and allows us to easily keep track of our candidates and where they are in our process.

Cons

There is a huge learning curve. Many of the features and functions are not intuitive, so we have to reach out to customer support.

I highly recommend iCIMS; from implementation through support they are a great team!

Pros

Very intuitive and easy to customize! You can do all of your scheduling of candidates right in the system, no need to create separate calendar invites. I love that I can create as many email templates as I want so I don't have to craft the same message over and over. All of your communication with candidates stays in the portal as long as you initiate the first email from iCIMS.

Cons

Reporting is a bit tricky but they have webinars to help! Searching is also a bit tricky but again, they have webinars regularly that can help you manage.

Cons

One of the main cons of iCIMS Talent Platform is that it does not integrate well with other talent acquisition and performance management tools and this causes third party interfaces and bridges to be build to achieve the same purpose.

The only thing I can see that iCims has going for itself in a positive light is name recognition. Beyond that, I would run.

Cons

ICims, for the candidate/potential new employee is Not user friendly. It also makes that so important first impression of a company, less than a good impression.
For the end user/recruitment team, the software is easier than what the candidate experience is, however, that is not saying much. iCims is clunky, cumbersome and frustrating to use. And then there is the customer service. We had a question that we were not able to find an answer to in all the resources provided. When we called iCims we were told to see and read the resources provided to us. We told them we were not able to locate a solution to the problem within the resources and that was why we were calling - their response, I’m sorry we can’t help you.

iCims is great at building a relationship as a strategic partner.

Pros

The platform is logical and intuitive to recruiters. It is designed to be an effective recruitment tool by engaging the employer with active and passive job seekers.

Cons

We are still in the design phase of the implementation. I have been very pleased with the transition from the sales team to the implementation team. Everyone listens very well and is very responsive to our needs an wants. I have not found anything that disappointments me thus far.

The Account Managers are frequently rotating. You will often contact your Account Manager and find out they're no longer your Account Manager as they point you to someone else for assistance. The Account Managers aren't the most responsive either.

Pros

The iCIMS NOW platform has all the functions you need and works well for a relatively low price point. Technical Support is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

They have discontinued the iCIMS NOW platform and are only offering the iCIMS Recruit platform, which has more features but at over double the cost.

Cons

There are some days that the interface is down for a couple hours. It impacts our recruiting as we cannot do anything for the time it is down. Also, I found that the customer service is slow.

Holds a ton of information in a very organized manner. Allows you to upload files to candidates' profiles. Creating email templates is very straightforward.

Cons

You can never be sure that your work will save. Even if you press the save button, there can be a glitch where your work disappears. I recommend typing everything into a different program and then pasting it into iCIMS in order to ensure you do not lose your work (and time!)

iCIMS is extremely customizable, down to view permissions at the field-level. I also appreciated that it offered the ability to view the system as a specific user to test said customizations. In a time where our business was growing and we did not have an established HRIS, it afforded us the ability to store data both recruiting and HR-related.

Cons

Since the product is enterprise, you are going to pay out the nose for it. After conducting several detailed demos for competitors, I found that in all cases newer products offered a fresher user experience as a fraction of the cost. That is what ultimately led me to transition to JazzHR. I was disappointed to see that in over 2 years of serving as the administrator, that there were zero improvements to the look and feel of the product on either the recruiter or candidate side. The lack of innovation partnered with pricing made it easy to part ways.

We are a pretty complex company with a variety of differences that iCIMS has been able to accommodate across our business groups. The system has been very user friendly for our recruit, hiring manager personnel. Reporting is very robust and has given us metrics we did not have before helping us to do better across the country and recruit times have diminished extensively

Pros

Implementation was well organized and the team we had from iCIMS was incredibly knowledgeable. since go live the support has continued to be top notch, the Support center is again very knowledgeable and issues are resolved on the spot 95% of the time. The system is very user friendly and since go live we have made multiple changes that have been very easy and quick to implement

Cons

There really so far is nothing I don't like about iCIMS, other than Reports can not be built using Internet Explorer.

Being able to post job listings on job-search websites through a software is an amazing thing to be taken off your hand especially if you are dealing with a large number of employees. It is amazing how this software posts the job listings on well-known websites. Resumes are managed when they arrive as well. It is overwhelming at first, being able to receive huge amounts of resumes and possible applicants. It makes the job easier.

Cons

iCIMS focuses mainly on applicant search and it does just that. It will be amazing if it's capable of more employee-related tasks as well, such as time tracking or payroll management. It is really a nice software to build around with more features.

Cons

As someone who used icims as an applicant for probably over 30 job applications, it comes across as clunky and outdated software. The resume scanner and linkedin profile importer both had very subpar results at importing information, often putting job titles as addresses or cutting off job details. This almost always results in a manual process of correction that makes one feel they should have never used the importer.

Cons

Wish we could delete some of the mandatory fields. Somehow we were able to bypass them before. But if you go in to update a phone number, for example, you also have to put in an address if there isn't one.

iCIMS Recruit solves our Talent business problem by enabling us to quickly and easily post jobs to our sites and move candidates to jobs as well as perform its core function of maintaining a robust database of candidates.

Pros

I am a complete iCIMS fan on all fronts! iCIMS allows me to perform my job and maintain order with candidate flow, statuses, and I am currently creating a platform for hiring managers to manage consultants, including an automated iForm for the statement of work.

Cons

The Connect Talent Pools are evolving but they do not provide the full flexibility of Recruit. I am still gettting used to them but the fact I can create Talent Pools to refer to easily is very attractive.

I really like to make a software work for my organization's individual needs and iCIMS is completely flexible to configure how I need it, which was very little because it was already set up with best practices. Customer Service always comes through, and sometimes exceeds my expectations. Also, it was the easiest implementation we have had with HRIS software.

There are a few other things that we would like for iCIMS to manage for us :) But we understand that their niche is ATS so we will be patient until they expand...

Great product and great service. Easy to set up and this product does it all - recruiting, onboarding, HR, etc. Great for corporations/companies.

Pros

This product I used when working for a large corporation. Very strong product and can do a lot for the recruiting process as well as onboarding, etc.

Cons

The cost. Very expensive product, but the features are very nice and clean. Easy to use and can get complicated if you try and do too much.

This helps us keep a track of all our recruiting activity where we can evaluate a recruiter performance, keep a track of the submissions, interviews and workforce.

Pros

I have worked on this for years now and this is the portal we used for our regular work. Starting for fetching the requirements to making submissions, creating interviews, confirmations and starts. It's a wonderful tool.

Cons

As we got a chance to use this from the client side, we haven't explored much to give you the disadvantages but as per my usage, its pretty good one and user friendly.

The program allows the creation of templates to send letters to potential candidates which speeds up the process of filtering though applicants.

Cons

The software often lags and has unnecessary filters for candidates that makes using the software a nuisance at times.
