InfinityHR Software

InfinityHR by Infinity Software Solutions is a state of the art, fully integrated system that allows businesses to manage both benefit enrollment and human resources in a secure, accessible online environment. HR departments can utilize this application to handle a variety of HR and benefit tasks, including time off tracking, time and attendance, wellness programs, employee surveys and workflows.

This online access is not only available to employers; there is a robust employee self-service portal as well. Here employees can access and edit their own benefit or HR-related information electronically. This easy-to-navigate portal lets employees attach beneficiaries and dependents, request time off or even print necessary paperwork and reports.

InfinityHR is highly configurable to meet your specific needs. It can be utilized by almost any industry, including insurance, real estate, staffing agencies or any company with more than 100 employees looking for a complete HR and benefits solution that can be tailored to their specific needs. InfinityHR is built on the rock-solid Microsoft .NET framework.

We really like this paperless approach to HR. Because InfinityHR is hosted, you don't need extensive IT or technical support in-house. Everything is available online, both to an unlimited number administrators and employees using the self service functionality. There's also no annual maintenance fee; you're charged a simple "per employee per month" fee that goes down as user numbers go up.

For businesses looking for a full suite of HR functionality that includes comprehensive online benefit enrollement, InfinityHR is a flexible, affordable solution.

Pros

Very easy to use for our hiring managers. Quick ability to list open positions and new employee onboarding was a breeze.

Cons

At a certain point in a growing company, you will outgrow their abilities and need to look at a larger system.

Our representatives did their best. They were responsive and as helpful as they could be, but there were limitations to the software as previously described.

Pros

Infinity tries to be an all in one HR suite. It does have several nice features available: tracking of PTO, electronic benefit elections, storing of policies, pay data.

Cons

We were told that Infinity could integrate with Sage 300CRE. It sort of integrates, but not all features. There were issues with rounding of pennies and benefit caps not being able to be set. We wanted to be able to have employees do self evaluations that were then reviewed by supervisors, but we don't seem to be able to do this either. Also, every time we change benefit providers we must pay to have EFT re-scheduled.

ACA compliance was the reason we selected it and it did the job.

Pros

The support teams at InfinityHR are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. When it comes to the nitty gritty of their system they have a pretty good handle of what you need to do.

Cons

If you're wanting to do anything beyond their basic setup, it's going to be a real pain. The UI is years behind and creating reports is very time consuming. The UX for data entry and updating is also quite cumbersome and could use some polishing. Overall I was fairly disappointed in the product despite the efforts of their support teams to help. Support is great.

We've been able to pay our employees. We use their online onboarding and open enrollment portals.

Pros

Aesthetically, it's a little more pleasing with their last update.

Cons

We use the CBIZ/EMS version of InfinityHR's services. Recent design changes did not improve it's poor functionality. Too many "work arounds" to achieve sub-par results. Roll outs of new functions have been consistently poorly planned and communicated. Simple functions like updating an emergency contact or changing tax elections have so many unnecessary steps it causes frustration for employees. Are report writing capabilities or metrics important to your role? Well, run far away. Simple reports are not easily accessed and the pre-loaded reports are a joke.
We had a great customer service rep at one point, she got so frustrated with the company that she left. Now, we (payroll and HR) email our customer service person so often (at least 5 times a week) that we have a standing, bi-weekly phone call with our rep to resolve any outstanding issues.

Once you learn the system its very easy to navigate. It keeps my expired documentation organized. It allows me to track training's.

Cons

Infinity has a lot of software updates, without explaining how to use the new features.
Some of the features in infinity could be moved around to make software easier to use.

Ease of use and functionality

Pros

We use Infinity HR for our employee benefits and love it! Enrollment is a breeze and tracking employee benefits, including elections, beneficiaries, changes, etc., make the tracking of the benefits side of HR a breeze. My favorite feature with this software is just simply how easy it is to look up employees, what their benefits are, how much their premium is, who their beneficiaries are and the newest updates give this software a more contemporary feel, also.

Cons

I think the only area where Infinity could improve is in reports pulling. The reports are separated into different areas which make it difficult to quickly log in and pull a report as you have to weed through to the appropriate section for the report you are looking to pull.
