Besides they are certified and comply with data protection which is super important for us. #### Cons Is not exactly that I dislike BrainCert, but since the platform is in constant development there are sometimes bugs in features releases, but this is understandable, the good thing is that they fix in a matter of days, and they are very receptive of these issues. The roadmap for BrainCert is indeed very promising. #### Cons While I struggled with the video call features and management in BrainCert, which occasionally disrupted my first virtual training sessions, I've since found alternative solutions for my video conferencing and online workshops (2 other apps I am using for videoconferencing and workshops for instance). Despite these limitations, BrainCert still stands out as the most comprehensive and effective LMS I've encountered, offering unparalleled features and capabilities that make it an indispensable tool for my training and workshop needs. #### Reasons for choosing BrainCert I've explored various options, including Forento, Mighty Networks, and Noodle, each with its unique strengths and applications. Its comprehensive features and capabilities align better with our requirements, making it the ideal solution for our training needs. #### Reasons for switching to BrainCert I read some Course and LMS plateforms to compare, then I tryed Mighty Networks, Forento, Bettermode, Noodle, Prowd, Augmental and Unschooler before choosing BrainCert. It could take weeks or even months before you can get your head around it. Support is not always available. It's unclear which part of the platform you think is 'outdated' as we are a comprehensive eLearning provider and deliver anything from adaptive testing to blended courses to virtual classrooms. We do provide excellent support for SCORM 2004 and 4th edition content packages. Support is done through our ticketing system. It is a good product, and I am happy I am using BrainCert. As with anything, there are things for improvements. When having difficulty with some of the BrainCert functions eg Tests, Assessor/admin roles and Virtual class recording I emailed support and skyped the person who sold me the product. The reply to my questions is slow. This is frustrating because students are complaining about my college and the platform. It does not look professional. Waiting for answers for a couple of days is not good. I think I have contacted support about half a dozen times for help. I have only started BrainCert fairly recently. So I only really need help in the beginning and then I would be do everything myself. Before asking for help from support I read the training information and viewed youtube. However, some of the problems I am having are not covered in this training​. The appearance of the platform, some of the functions. virtual class, however, read below Generally speaking, ​the students find​ it easier to use than the past platform from Wiziq #### Cons It can be a little too complexed in adding extra 'admin or assessor' as a role. Setting up the roles is easy however understanding each function of each part of the role needs to be explained better. The same for adding tests. In regards to the virtual class recording. It could be more streamlined. For example. When a virtual class is recorded it would be better for the recording to be assigned to a students dashboard for easy access. Instead, I have to email a virtual class recorded link to each of my student who are in that particular course. This is a lot of extra work, and a bit of a waste of time. I approached to ​support and he told me this is what I have to do. IF there is an easier way of allowing access to the virtual class recordings please let me know. I would like to use this function often. #### Reasons for switching to BrainCert Wiziq was not a professional-looking. I had been with Wiziq for a few years. In the beginning, the system would go offline and students were complaining they could not access their courses. The support team offered extremely poor service. (except for one lady she was great). The support team would say they completed a task and would not have completed it. Wiziq doubled my membership fees without even consulting me. I am a small organisation and this was rude. Plus I did not find it as secure as Braincert. Then we tried Tudor LMS, a wordpress system. This was easy to use but again the security issues kept popping up with constant updates. Subsequent updates and chats with support brought these bugs to their attention and now things are going way better and a lot easier to use. My least favorite thing is how slow the back end is. To get a list of users usually takes a full minute to load. Sharing a screen with a student helps focus the student's attention, and using the writing and highlighting tools on the shared screen allows me (the instructor) instant feedback on the student's understanding.
