The price is excellent for this as is, but start adding in the support you need and the cost to add new things or make changes, it starts getting up there if you make a lot of changes.

I used to like FileMaker, it was easy to use but powerful. As it evolved it got complex and confusing.

It's incredibly intimidating and not user friendly to somebody coming on who is not familiar. It's also very easy to accidentally create very messy data.

It requires a computer scientist to figure out how to use it now. What was simple and intuitive became complicated and confusing.

We landed on GeneXus looking for a CASE for the development of mobile applications and it allowed us, in a short time, to create some applications for Android and IOS with good results.

Besides the cost you have, it is well worth it because it is a huge investment. It is highly recommended for medium and large companies.

However, this is a double-edged-sword. You can fall into the trap or letting GeneXus worry about everything to the point that you can become out of touch with technology trends.

In addition, the way of versioning the product often means that a problem with one version can only be solved with a new version with the consequent need to test the development.

Code generated is difficult to read and some restrictions in the use of each language.
