True Cloud Printing Solution, at the cost of simplicity

It is important to note that as of this review, PrinterOn Enterprise has been bought over by HP, and will cease to exist as "PrinterOn".

PROS

- Allows for true cloud printing; the ability to print to any configured printer from wherever you are in the world. - Integration with Azure AD and other LDAP/AD service. - Works with virtually any printer in the market

CONS

- The setting up of this product can prove to be incredibly complex with heaps of roadblocks along the way (customer service was constantly required to troubleshoot throughout the entire configuration). - Documentation may be insufficient for administrators - Does not run on a serverless environment; requires an active VM to be spun up on premise or on the cloud. Can be very costly. - Relies on Third Party Vendors for hardware integration (e.g. RFID Keypad for Print Release)

Too many issues!

I manage the IT Department for a large Real Estate company. We spent thousands on this software, to then be forced to spend thousands more on Windows upgrades because they changed their product requirements in the middle of deployment. The amount of money for this product, you would expect better service. I feel they don't allow direct support is due to the amount of issues with their product.

PROS

Unfortunately there isn't anything I can recommend about this software. We purchased this as a solution for mobile print tracking. Unfortunately the product and especially the company failed!

CONS

There are too many issues with how this company handles sales and support on this product. Sales and support are done through third-party vendors. The vendor we had to use had zero experience with this product and took over a year to deploy. Our vendor was basically learning to deploy this product at our cost! Six months after start of deployment, PrinterOn changed the requirements and refused service until we upgraded all our Windows 10 Pro Print Servers to Windows 2012 Print Servers. After doing this we will have the software stop working regularly. Each time we have to spend 4-6 hours allowing the sales technician try to figure it out on his own before he will even contact PrinterOn support. I've tried reaching out to the company, but they won't even respond.
