Cheaper than the competition, with all the features I need

RemotePC is cheaper than the competition, with all the features I need.

PROS

Price: RemotePC is cheaper than the competition. I previously used another program (ZOHO Assist) but was looking for something better, but also cheaper if possible. RemotePC is cheaper, especially since I got the special discount for getting a 2-year subscription.Audio chat:I use RemotePC to hop onto computers of friends and family to help them fix things and troubleshoot. The video chat functionality is extra cool as we can can video or audio chat while I help them fix things on their computer.Good connection:I have fibre optic internet but the people I help remotely often have pretty terrible internet and yet it works perfectly.

CONS

A minor thing but I don't need the video aspect of Video chat, I just use it to chat to the person I am helping by voice. A simple audio chat feature would be cool.

Remote desktop easily

PROS

Connecting and remote connection with desktop using RemotePC is very easy and can be setup as fast as under 1 minute. I use it to solved minor problem on my colleague desktop from my workstation.

CONS

It need a strong and stable internet connection on my end and the target desktop to have a smooth connectivity.

Great product

PROS

Don't ever rely on this software!!

Overall experience is poor, have had several time consuming chat sessions and the answer is always to "update to the latest version" - which makes no difference.

PROS

I liked the appeal of the price.... but I soon learnt you get what you pay for!

CONS

Unreliable, don't ever install this where remote access to a machine is critical - it will let you down! Buggy, crashes all the time with various software exceptions, file transfer is is a guessing game as to whether it will do it/has done it, client machines continuously need the software processes killing via task manager and then re starting to get it to work - this is exaggerated on pcs with multiple user accounts as switching users seems to cause it to hang consistently. Also has a habit of reporting that a session is in progress when it is not. I was a Logmein user for years before switching to this product so no stranger to remote software. Logmein might be more expensive but it is in a completely different league to RemotePC

Best value for money!

I live in Argentina, with a huge economical crisis, inflation a devaluation of our currency. The argentine peso has no value and access to anything from outside is expensive for us. I found in RemotePc a great software at an offordable price. Thank you, RemotePc!

Everything is a PRO, it´s straightforward, easy setup and use. It´s fast and stable.

I used Remote PC in my previous job and now I am using it for new position. right next to desktop remote connection, this is a great product

PROS

ease of use and reliability. very easy to download and run install. no issues at all

CONS

none so far. as far as I know I did not have any problem at all.

RemotePC honest review

My overall experience with RemotePC has been very positive, previously used another remote desktop product but it was cost-prohibitive for my size company and wouldn't connect on occasion.

PROS

Remote desktop access was very easy to setup and use.

CONS

The mobile app still needs a little work.

Best remote pc app I've used

PROS

Very easy to setup and use across multiple computers. Plenty of options for performance like turning off backgrounds or aero theme to increase speeds. Easy to switch between multiple screens. Works as intended and I even like it better than the other guys that are available. Gir the price it's hard to beat.

CONS

Haven't found anything I dislike about the product.

Remote PC is Great

It's only been a couple of weeks but feeling good about it.

Full featured and cost effective solution to remote access.

A totally satisfied customer who rates this software as essential, reliable and simple.

PROS

Pricing is realistically based rather than 'have you over a barrel' prices from other solutions. Definitely a lot of features for the price, easy to install and straightforward to use. This puts many other solutions that cost 3 times the price to shame. Excellent product!

CONS

Honestly, it is hard to fault. I run this software on linux, windows and mac systems but one tiny thing I haven't managed to do yet is complete the installation without errors on an old Linux system. I think the system is up to date but I am still struggling. However, I have successfully installed it 1st time on another identical Linux system so I think the problem lies at my end rather than the software. No problems installing on several windows machines and macs though.

More features, better mobile interface, better desktop interface, better user experience and file transfers.

Reasons for switching to RemotePC

Teamviewer is a rip off and there autorenewal system is outrageous. Minimum 28 days notice is required or they bill you for a FULL YEAR! Dodgy tactics from that company and eye-watering prices. Customer service was appalling too.

We used it to provide remote support to users at and found it to be very easy to use.

PROS

We use the remote computer management feature. The rollout was easy.

CONS

I don't like the fact that you allowed use remote desktop and then notified about a $20 fee.

A less expensive full featured alternative

Overall, the experience has been very positive with ease of use and deployment.

PROS

Remote access, unattended access, and the ability to move files easily have all been game changers for our small agency. It was really easy to deploy across all of our computers and it has made it a breeze to be able to log in, move files, provide real time support, and ensure that our machines are as functional and safe as possible. We had previously been using an alternative that cost more and did not deliver as good of service without some limitations. We've been super happy with the switch and aren't planning to return to our prior program.

CONS

Overall, we have been really pleased with the product and haven't found the features that we use to be lacking. However, we are a really small organization with simpler needs and I can see that larger organizations with more complex needs may find the overall product to be a bit simple for their needs.

Reasons for switching to RemotePC

We swapped as the overall cost was quite high for our needs and we were constrained by the number of devices that we could log in from which was challenging in a period of high growth for our company.

I'm coming back! Whoa. Teamviewer is not for me.

I didn't appreciate them and switched to Teamviewer and it was the worst experience EVER. There's no way the Teamviewer reviews are real.

PROS

It is solid, affordable, they are a decent organization.

CONS

Sometimes it seems hard for my clients to use, but I'm going to figure that out.

Abusive support at teamviewer. They REFUSED to cancel my license and give me my money back. So I have to dispute transaction with PayPal.

A great tool

In general it has been great! Easy to use, easy to configure and easy to follow up. Also is very cheap and offers a lot of stuff to make your remote working even better

PROS

Is very easy to start using this tool, you don't need to be an IT expert (even your user don't need to)

CONS

Sometimes there is lag on the connection, and from time to time the screen just get black, so you have to close and open the software again (from the controller PC), but it happens rarely

Google only offer 30 min connection, after that you are obligated to clic if you want to continue using. We can afford to monitor and clic each 30 min

Remote working made possible for everyone

In the short time that we had to switch our co-workers to allow them to work remotely at home, RemotePC really became a clutch tool since we were able to deploy it fast, and also because it had such a low learning curve, people who wasn't so computer savvy were able to work seemlessly.

PROS

We were pleasantly surprised on how easy it was to deploy this software to all of our users when we had to switch to a remotely operated work environment. Even people who weren't pro computer users, were able to easily login and start controlling their work PCs at home.

CONS

If there was a drawback, I would say the speed, but this is the problem with all remote desktop softwares. With RemotePC, you can at lease control it in a way so that you can slightly reduce the visual quality if you need the boost of speed.

TeamViewer also works great, but the cost was way too high for our use.

New SOHO User

So far after a few days I like the program. It is a good value.

PROS

Remote PC appeared to have benefit to our organization and I decided to give it a try. I have only employed it for a few days. My first connect was eventually successful with the help of help desk chat. The presentation of the remote screen, Mac as remote and PC as host, was clear, responsive and uncluttered. I can see it will take a while and some more coaching to fully understand and operate. I am up for that. It has been a good beginning.

CONS

I am an experienced PC user, but it will take watching videos, reading FAQs and coaching from the Help Desk to be fully up and running. It's not entirely intuitive.

It just seemed right, and the cost was reasonable. As a non-profit we need to operate frugally.

Yes. We went from free on the old platform (too many restrictions), and to paid for Remote PC. I think it will be well worth it.

Best Remote Ever

It has been amazing! Affordable, simple, easy! The price is insanely better than anywhere.

PROS

Multi monitor function is so simple and works amazing! Printing is quick and easy.

CONS

There are no cons to this software. It makes all other remotes look like junk.

Fantastic Product-Easy to use

Excellent, much easier than I had anticipated

I love how easy it was to send invites to my team and get them up and running with the software.

CONS

It was a little challenging to set up but I am ok with that since the security protocols required are what took a little time to understand. I would call that a necessary evil

Great Software, But Could Use Better Instructions

I have used RemotePC daily for the last week in support of a client. It works exactly as I would have liked it to work. In one case, the keyboard stopped working, but I quickly fixed it by disconnecting and reconnecting. I love the fact that you can use the Attended Access feature without even installing the software on my PC.

PROS

Great price. Works well. Has two modes: Unattended and Attended Access. (The latter is perfect for remote support professionals.) From a trusted company.

CONS

Better documentation or user interface needed. Two examples: First, when an entry-level user wants to enable a second person to access his PC, the software should explain that the PC user must upgrade to a Soho account. This would not only reduce confusion but should also result in more upgrades. Second, the software should do a better job of explaining what the software does in Unattended Mode. RemotePC is basically two programs in one: Unattended Access, for someone who wants to access his own PC, and Attended Access, for someone who wants other to help other people.

Great software to work remotely

It has been a savior for me, given that I used other software initially. It really helped me during the work-from-home phase, where a reliable remote access tool was the need of the hour.

PROS

It is a great tool to work with. Great features are easily accessible and usable. It works great for me even during a slow internet connection. Apart from remote access, it can also be used to transfer huge files.

CONS

User interface can be improved a bit. Also, prices can be made more affordable looking at the highly competitive market.

Useful Product

Remote users having access to work equipment is not a problem anymore.

PROS

From testing with the free licence to implementation, all expectations were met. And the price is very reasonable.

CONS

Initial setup of remote PC display resolution caused concern, but with trial and error it was resolved.

Great value for money!

PROS

Love the ease of use as well as value for money! Very reasonably priced compared to the other options available.

CONS

Sometimes we have issues getting a larger screen to appear on our view but I believe that's more with the monitors we are using and not the actual software issue
