Flexible and Time Saving
Real time data and being able to customize easily in excel.
CONSPulling in data for large files can take a while if there are a lot of formulas and if you have the automatic calculation turned on, it will refresh even if you didn't want it to.

Reporting tool for Companies who don't want to break the bank but want to customize reporting
We have used Spreadsheet server on two accounting platforms successfully. When we moved to NetSuite updating our reporting to the new Spreadsheet server formulas was easy and didn't require us to re-build reports. We have a great rep, [sensitive content hidden], who is very reliable and eager to assist with any issues.

We use this product as a replacement for Oracle FSG reports for departmental and location reporting.
Reporting times dropped from 3 to 4 days to overnight.
PROSThe product offers great flexibility, looks at the live data and all hierarchies. Distribution Manager and Profile Scheduler really enhance the reporting functionality.
CONSPerformance is slow particularly for transaction based reports. Updating to the very latest software was of great help but we had to move the transactions to a table for quicker queries. This allowed reports to be able to complete overnight (around 8 hours) but we are limited to only a periods worth of data at a time for transaction based reports. The translated ledgers are not currently working but consolidation ledger are so not a top priority but something to fix in the future.

This tool is great for saving time and creating efficient workflow
Spreadsheet server was able to speed up the way our company worked by being able to analyze data in half the time we were able to before. Most of our time was spent compiling the data and we barely had time to analyze it. We are now able to do both in a fraction of the time. Would highly recommend this tool for people who want to get their YARDI data in excel.
CONSIt took a long time to set up because we were going through a 3rd party. This would have been easier to setup if we has someone from spreadsheet server who could have come help our IT do the setup in house instead of over zoom.
