Powerful survey software

It has been great. They do make you jump through a couple hoops each year but, in the grand scheme of things, very minimal.

PROS

QuestionPro is great software for what we need. We initially got it because we wanted something that could run offline and on tablets and then be synced at a later time. We ended up not using that use case but have continued to use it for our intake form. It is great because it is very easy to customize question and add and format as necessary. It is a little bit of overkill for what we need but we'll take it. Since we're a non-profit, they offer a price that cannot be beat (FREE - with a little work). There are a lot of great software products that we could use but don't because they cost a lot and we don't have the manpower to properly utilize them. QuestionPro realizes this and provides non-profits their software for free (like Google does). Truly trying to help the charitable community!

CONS

For what we use it for, there is nothing that I really dislike. I would say it may be a little complicated for our needs. It is also a little industrial as opposed to some other solutions that are more consumer centric. But those a far outweighed by the features and value of the product.

Great solution for a volunteer-led organization.

Using QuestionPro saves us money over using more expensive event management tools. We use meeting registration surveys for our event registrations. We can then use the data responses to export attendee lists to create name tags with mailmerge in Word. We then can follow-up with post-event surveys, as well as annual planning surveys to help us plan our programs.

PROS

I like how QuestionPro allows you to customize its forms and surveys. Our volunteer-led professional organization uses it for meeting registrations and post-event surveys. It allows us to include our logo, and with the skip-logic, we can customize a registration form based on how people answer, so members can enter their member number and non-members won't see that option. We can also customize what happens when the form is complete, such as sending people to our PayPal page to pay for their meeting registration. While it's not integrated with PayPal, it may appear that way to our users so we can collect payment right after they register for an event. QuestionPro support has also been extremely helpful and responds quickly to questions on our account.

CONS

While QuestionPro is not a comprehensive solution to event management (and doesn't claim to be), the product works well for our organization. It took a little getting used to with all the functions and options available, but not much to complain about overall.

We were finding that links to Google were being blocked by many companies IT departments. QuestionPro helped to solve that problem.

Survey Usage

We look forward to being able to use this product.

PROS

Analytics capabilities of this platform is the primary reason why we are using it. It will save us a lot of time and allow us to create dashboards for various segments of our survey responses. We also appreciate that QuestionPro has a nonprofit discount available where nonprofits can get access to the Advanced profile at $0 cost (with some minor requirements we have to fulfil prior to getting this upgrade).

CONS

A lot of the features are locked for free users. I understand why, but for folks who don't have the budget for the annual expense for a survey tool, it may be a barrier for them to select this platform.

I put it shorty - a DISASTER. Very low efficiency, very low reliability, many bugs.

Very bad. I compare it with Qualtrics that I was using for 8 years and I can definitely tell it's way below when it comes to reliability, overall efficiency and user experience. Whenever I try to work on QuestionPro, I never know if I'm able to login, if the system doesn't crash or if respondents are able to fill in the study. I submit requests to client support at least a couple of times per month.

PROS

Nothing - while the product has a lot of potential (I can see lots of smart solutions and ideas), the low stability, low efficiency, and countless bugs kill it all.

CONS

Very low efficiency, very low reliability, many bugs. I've been using QuestionPro for 9 months now and I can count many issues: not possible to login, not possible to upload databases, bugs not allowing respondents to close the study, the system does not allow to perform multiple tasks at once. I could count more and more... Definitely, it is not a system for professionals.

Non-Profit Program Management and Evaluation

Overall, extremely pleased with the product. It's made our data collection and even application process more organized, professional, and seamless.

PROS

I appreciate how easy it is for a non-technical person to design tailored surveys and application forms for data collection. It's very intuitive for the person building the survey itself.

CONS

Sometimes I've had a challenge of creating branding to align with our organization or how to visually design/arrange the information to create a more customized/sleek appearance. However, that hasn't impacted the functionality of the surveys for our audience. I haven't figured out if/how to run more complicated data analytics or reports with the data gleaned from the surveys also.

Needed a more robust platform that could store and analyze data more. Also, wanted a single platform to house multiple surveys with more advanced functionality for those surveys.

Couldn't be happier with QuestionPro

Extremely positive. Customer service is brilliant and very responsive, and the platform itself is reliable, attractive, and extensive in terms of functionality.

PROS

We feel extremely lucky to have access to QuestionPro on a non-profit waiver, which means we have amazing functionality for no cost. For a charity, this means so much to us. It enables us to quickly and easily seek the opinions and input of a wide range of audiences - including our beneficiaries and stakeholders - customising our surveys to ensure they are relevant. We also find the analytics functionality very helpful.

CONS

The only thing we would have loved to see is the ability to compare two data sets side by side, but appreciate that's not really the point of the platform.

So far, so good!

Customer service has been great so far and they have worked with us to figure out what we need. So far, so good.

It would be nice to have some AI that allowed us to import surveys so we didn't need to rebuild them from scratch.

E-mails are badly formatted, validation is required for surveys with many users and it was not easy, and they have an article talking about using their SDK, but they do not have an SDK available.

Great for gathering information for Grant Reports

PROS

I like that it is very user friendly. It is easy to learn and easy to follow. I like that I can customize the questions and types of responses. It is easy to set up even for a non-tech person like me! It is also great for gathering information for grant applications and reporting.

CONS

There are so many options to choose from, it can be a bit daunting.

Great Survey Software for Non-Profits

PROS

QuestionPro is an easy to use, reliable survey software perfect for non-profit organizations. They offer an extremely generous free annual license to non-profit organizations that keeps costs down and information retention up. We're grateful to have access to such powerful tools for the low, low price of free. The data we've been able to gather using their service has been invaluable.

Quality well featured software free for Non Profits

The software has allowed us to see areas where our product can be improved which has resulted in better support of our clients. It has also allowed us to prepare reports for the accreditation authorities who approve our ongoing capacity to effectively evaluate student achievement in the (Non Profit) school's who use our certification process.

PROS

Met our requirements and the Advanced version is free for Non Profits (normally over $!000 pa). Particular features we were looking for were not available with the Basic version which is free for all users. These features include Multilingual Surveys and enhanced support. Many other features are available in the Advanced version which we anticipate making more use of in the future.

CONS

It was quite a learning curve to use for someone unused to doing surveys (previously another person had done them but using a different product). Some areas seem a bit clunky, but this may be par for the course with survey software. Everything seems to work when you get used to it.

Reason for choosing QuestionPro

Their Non Profit support made it financially possible for us, as a small organisation to have a quality software with the features and support we were looking for.

Reasons for switching to QuestionPro

QuestionPro offered more options that were useful to us and because of their support for Non Profits it was much cheaper for us than anything else with the features we wished for (in fact it is currently No Cost, but initially we were charged despite the company claim on their website that it was free for Non Profits, but this seems to have been an anomaly).

The Best Survey Software for Non-Profits

Our experience has been wonderful. I am so grateful that a colleague of mine introduced me to this software. We were researching survey software and every other platform was either way outside of our price range or did not offer the feature we really needed.

PROS

QuestionPro offers all of the survey tools that we need for our small non-profit while making it affordable for such a small organization that has limited resources.

CONS

I have not found anything I do not like about QuestionPro.

QuestionPro is awesome!

QuestionPro is a great survey software that has tons of options for building and managing surveys!

PROS

• QuestionPro allows for more responses – 1,000 responses per survey with unlimited surveys. • QuestionPro has a full basic plan for free. • QuestionPro allows use of a logo for free. • QuestionPro allows a custom thank-you page. QuestionPro also has Advanced License options for Automatic Redirect, Review/Print, Forward to a Friend, and a few other options. • QuestionPro has the option to send a thank-you email to the participant. • QuestionPro allows 25 question types for free. • QuestionPro allows custom variable mapping for free. • QuestionPro allows us to export raw data into an Excel Spreadsheet for free, as well as charts into either MS Excel or MS Word • QuestionPro has a really impressive analytics dashboard that breaks down responses by question, tells us where people are taking the survey from, the average time it takes people to complete the survey, and indicates how many people have: viewed the survey, completed the survey, and dropped out of the survey. • QuestionPro has Data Filters and Trend Report functions. • QuestionPro has separate tabs for free and advanced options

CONS

• QuestionPro only has two survey types: all questions on one page, and one question at a time. • QuestionPro only has one available “Accessible” appearance themes for free. • QuestionPro does not send a notification when there are new responses for free, and does not allow you to add other recipients to receive the Daily Summary.

I did an analysis of features offered by both software and found that QuestionPro had more features for free and did more of what I needed it to do.

Great Tool for Community Needs Assessments

QuestionPro is versatil and has allowed our agency to conduct thorough and meaningful community needs assessments. I highly recommend it to other non-profits.

PROS

I love the versatility of question types and skip logic. Other products do not seem to have this level of flexibility.

CONS

The data reporting and export can be clunky for novice users BUT it is in-depth and does allow for more skilled user to eaily configure the exported data.

Great for nonprofits

Our business interaction with QuestionPro has overall been great.

PROS

We were using SurveyMonkey prior to QuestionPro. It was hard to customize our surveys and we found it costly for what we were getting. When we found out that they were going to increase prices for the number of survey responses, we started looking around and found QuestionPro. QuestionPro is very user friendly and customizable. Not only that, they offer a free version for nonprofits which significantly helps our bottom line and helps us serve even more people!

CONS

I don't like that data clean-up is cumbersome in the version that we use. There isn't a way to do mass data correction when needed and we have to go survey by survey to make corrections. The only way to make any other corrections is to download the raw data which is difficult to do when you have a larger data set. But it's really only the version that we use - I have no doubt this would be easier if we had to pay for our account.

We use it daily for data collection and outreach

This has become not just a survey tool, but a main avenue for doing outreach with out beneficiaries (customers). We use it as a tool for receiving requests and outsourcing the collection of data which otherwise would have required us to hire many staff.

PROS

The pros: powerful, easy to use, comprehensive, and centralized

CONS

The cons: the nonprofit pricing does not include multiple users. Also, re-using questions and building a central db of questions is not user friendly. The functionality is there but is not intuitive for users.Lastly, we would have loved for QP to be able to read from our database or Google sheets when people use it, for example populating a dropdown on the fly -- but to my knowledge no similar software does this at the moment.

We LOVE QuestionPro

We've used QuestionPro for everything from gathering input for developing our strategic plan from constituents (clients, staff, board, community), for gathering input from staff for wellness programs, and most importantly for surveying our clients to make sure our services are meeting their needs.

PROS

In Non-profit, everyone kind of needs to be able to do lots of things - which ends up meaning no one is an expert on anything. With QuestionPro, all our staff are able to learn and understand the software, and have been able to work together to create surveys that get them the data they need to make decisions about our services.

CONS

I enjoy working with QuestionPro. This isn't something I dislike - but a suggestion. I wish there were a bank of suggested phrasing for good survey questions. Sometimes my staff draft some strange questions because they don't understand what makes a good question.

Flexible, Customer-Focused and Versatile Tool

QuestionPro has helped us deliver top notch surveys for our employees. They are also committed to GDPR and partner with us to ensure compliance and data governance. The team is personal and accessible and they are quick to collaborate.

PROS

QuestionPro has so many features when building and deploying your survey and even more when you are analyzing your results. Building our surveys is easy and flexible -- with a vast array of question templates to choose from, integrated logic, and design. Deploying is also easy and they are continuing to work on improving this feature. The analysis is top-notch and appears every day to be built and developed by data scientists that work to unlock new results from your raw survey data. Most of all, however, their customer service is paramount. They are quick, friendly and accessible and always willing to listen to new ideas.

CONS

Deployment currently is good but not great. You can load lists, but we still have to do manual work to maintain those lists before loading and there is currently no validation of emails or audit for duplicates (of previously sent emails). The editor for the message is also very simple and you are restricted to one template. They are actively working on improving this, however.

RADA's appreciation to QuestionPro

RADA has been enjoying a free survey provided by an organization called QuestionPro. At first we thought it will be challenging but it made things easy especially when we had the non profit favor. We've had powerful insights from various stakeholders including staff, youths, partners, etc. We used questionpro successfully to conduct an entire major study on Youth Advocates for an end to the Anglophone crisis in Cameroon,. If you are an individual, a company or an NGO, Consider Questionpro for its analytic ease.

PROS

At first we thought it will be challenging but it made things easy especially when we had the non profit favor.

CONS

The limitations of not having more that one users at a time log in.

"Satisfied with QuestionPro"

Our organization enjoys working very successfully with QuestionPro and are grateful for the support we receive as an NGO.

PROS

The software can do a lot. Nevertheless, it is easy to use and is also very well suited for small, low-key surveys. But even complex surveys can be set up quickly with a little practice. With a little experience, most of the functions are easy to use. Thanks to the simple integration of a survey via a link, QuestionPro can be integrated into the work process as quickly as desired.

CONS

There is nothing really negative to say about the software. The conditions under which we work with the software as an NGO are fair, but understandably do not include full support. Nevertheless, the support requested has always been prompt and very satisfactory.

Question Pro as user

Overall experience is good.

PROS

Question pro is well good name for collecting real data from authentic and reliable people 's. I am not directly experienced with question pro, when we do survey task through time buck, ysense, etc. Question pro survey also completed. So i did survey of question pro. It is very good data collecting brand. They are updated with new ai technology.

CONS

Some repeating questions may be irritating me otherwise it is good
