Uptime !! Real time maintenance requests. Mobile apps and the ability to track labor and costs. Not to mention spare parts and inventory. Our production folks can't believe the response team from maintenance! Let me know what maintenance people are doing without having to ask. I love being able to assign them work no matter where the are.. I do recommend buying tablets for them... I use $120 tablets. Every machining and manufacturing plant in America should use this. If you have 5 or 5000 pieces of equipment, facility, or anything needing maintenance this should be your software. I have had to use ERP maintenance add ons that never allowed real TPM quality support. This software is designed SPECIFICALLY for maintenance. It is easy to use and learn. It pays for itself in the first 3 months. I have implemented this software 3 times. I am not paid by them, but I would recommend them to any company. I have been in Manufacturing for just over 30 years, and this is the best software for this I have seen! Once trained personnel have an easier time communicating with Customer support to resolve issues faster. It's value has shown just in how our work days have been more efficient. At the time, it was the best option but I'm not sure I'd make the same choice again. It has been easy to set up 'views' for different areas to use. Setting up crews is also very easy and makes assigning work easy within a department. #### Cons It's no longer designed just for education so we needed to do a lot of adjusting to make it work for our needs. The reporting and analytics needs work. The adding of labor is more cumbersome than it should be. The security of the 'reporting' feature is not able to be locked down to allow nurses to use it for what we need. #### Reasons for choosing Asset Essentials At the time, FMX did not have utility tracking capabilities, we also wanted to have the history from School Dude. At the time, Asset Essentials had the best app. We also looked at Incident IQ which our IT team uses. I'm not sure if that's the same product as Incident Tracker that is listed above. #### Reasons for switching to Asset Essentials School Dude was getting outdated and was not supported as it should be....this was the upgrade of that product. We use SSO so security is tight. We are a medium size school system and compared to other application we use the value for is on point. We use this system for all work ordered and asset management, we live and die by it, It always works and if I do have an issue support is timely into looking into the issue and finding a resolution. #### Cons The biggest issue we have is it doesn't offer text message notifications for work orders. I am responsible for a large University School of Medicine and it's very helpful to be able to add my own detailed description of the issue as well as attach phots to help guide the techs. We were not originally set up to be individual. The Grounds Dept. has grown and we need to be able to be more specific in what we do. This will allow us to accurately track those job types. It also allows us to generate work order reports that help us track how effectively we are utilizing our support staff against industry standard labor. From the adding users to the work tickets. We also utilize the parts portion for inventory and tools. #### Cons The mobile app is my least favorite. We have had issue after issue with the app kicking people out throughout the day, not just work tickets, but to the client ID. Since we have authenticator licensing, we need to also fill out that information each time. No incentive was offered Overall i think this is a very beginner software with a ton of bugs and nonfunctional that they need to work out. Progress with bugs and these functionality problems take way too long if ever to be completed. Honestly wish we spent our money elsewhere. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 3/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros setting up Pm's was a nice change from using Outlook calendar Work request made it easier for staff to tell me about broken equipment it does eliminate paper #### Cons very tough to start to use it because the lingo and they way they have it sorted doesn't really apply to manufacturing. to customize alot of thing you need them to do it because we don't have access. plus everything takes 5 at least 5 seconds to load. which doesn't sound like much but every thing you click will have load times. The app is terrible and unusable. load times, restriction in functionality. bugs. Ability to put in meter readings is terribly painful You cant add parts while in a workorder. its a separate page you have to go to. and you can't complete tasks while on a computer. #### Reasons for choosing Asset Essentials I chose this one because it had an app and it looked very useful and they said it would be easy to do a walk around checklist with meter readings.
