Uptime !! Real time maintenance requests. Mobile apps and the ability to track labor and costs. Not to mention spare parts and inventory. Our production folks can't believe the response team from maintenance! Let me know what maintenance people are doing without having to ask. I love being able to assign them work no matter where the are.. I do recommend buying tablets for them... I use $120 tablets. Every machining and manufacturing plant in America should use this. If you have 5 or 5000 pieces of equipment, facility, or anything needing maintenance this should be your software. I have had to use ERP maintenance add ons that never allowed real TPM quality support. This software is designed SPECIFICALLY for maintenance. It is easy to use and learn. It pays for itself in the first 3 months. I have implemented this software 3 times. I am not paid by them, but I would recommend them to any company. I have been in Manufacturing for just over 30 years, and this is the best software for this I have seen! Very heavy on data entry, quite a lot of man hours involved in getting established. Great for keeping inventory control. It forced us to manage our spare parts inventory more efficiently. #### Cons Very underutilized Ai power. I still can't simply delete decommissioned assets from the system. We have to quarantine them in a virtual "location" to remove them from our site. Having to save work orders 3 times every time we create one from the app is very tedious. You cannot check work orders specific to an asset from the work order tab, you have to go to the asset tab and them select "view WOs" to search the history of work done. searching work orders this way for troubleshooting equipment has not been very effective for us. An Ai powered troubleshooting agent would be a huge advantage in leveraging our existing data toward solving problems and adjusting PM timelines. At the time, it was the best option but I'm not sure I'd make the same choice again. It has been easy to set up 'views' for different areas to use. Setting up crews is also very easy and makes assigning work easy within a department. #### Cons It's no longer designed just for education so we needed to do a lot of adjusting to make it work for our needs. The reporting and analytics needs work. The adding of labor is more cumbersome than it should be. The security of the 'reporting' feature is not able to be locked down to allow nurses to use it for what we need. #### Reasons for choosing Asset Essentials At the time, FMX did not have utility tracking capabilities, we also wanted to have the history from School Dude. At the time, Asset Essentials had the best app. We also looked at Incident IQ which our IT team uses. I'm not sure if that's the same product as Incident Tracker that is listed above. #### Reasons for switching to Asset Essentials School Dude was getting outdated and was not supported as it should be....this was the upgrade of that product. We use SSO so security is tight. We are a medium size school system and compared to other application we use the value for is on point. We use this system for all work ordered and asset management, we live and die by it, It always works and if I do have an issue support is timely into looking into the issue and finding a resolution. #### Cons The biggest issue we have is it doesn't offer text message notifications for work orders. I am responsible for a large University School of Medicine and it's very helpful to be able to add my own detailed description of the issue as well as attach phots to help guide the techs. Also, when I call for help, the person I reach spends as much time as necessary to answer all my questions. #### Cons Learning how to create different views for the work orders and batching work orders that need to be closed. Not only using all the different parts of this software, the customer service is awesome. When you call the help line you are greeted with it seems like a smile. The help line tech is able to fix 99% of any issue. If they cannot fix it, they get you in touch with the person who can along with keeping you updated with the progress.
