Embodied Carbon of Concrete and Other Construction Materials

The Locus team was highly responsive and helped take this program from a concept to an actual platform. where our contractors provide electronic deliverables to populate the platform.

Pros

Embodied Carbon (EC) management is simplified: The Locus solution has allowed us to track the EC of our in-coming construction materials, with EPD driven data. Concrete mix data can also be imported to calculate the EC from cement, slag, and other supplementary cementitious materials when no EPD is available. Locus is also used for detailed metrics on construction waste disposition and diesel equipment engine data.

Cons

Density and unit conversions had to be custom built for construction materials.
