Best online Reservation system

PROS

This system is so easy to use, unlike our old system. One of my absolute favorite features the meters for our monthly guests. you click on the little meter and you type in your reading and hit add and it automatically add the amount they owe to their invoice. With our old system, meter reading wee so complicated and were so easy to mess up. This feature has helped our park out so much. There are so many other features that have made our jobs easier as well, like how easy it is to move reservations if needed, how easy it i to shorten or extend a stay, taking payments, adding or taking sites off for onlinenreservations, changing site statuses, adding seasonal rates, and so much more. This system is so user friendly!

CONS

Honestly, th3ere were a couple of features I suggested could be improved. The block site feature and taking overpayments and leaving a credit on their site (yes, this happens often in our park). I spoke to a good Sam rep and they listened to my ideas and concerns and are working to improve these features. That's the best part, they listen and are always working to improve it.

We had been trying to work with our last company to get our system up and running to take online reservationsfor over a year. I was so frustrated because they kept telling me the problem was on my end and I needed to fix it myself ( I has a professional IT guy working on it on my end saying it was not on our end). I had dumped so much time and money into this system and it never went online. I was beyond frustrated. When Good Sam called and said they guaranteed they could have it up and running in a couple of months and that they would build it for free and add all of my reservations to the system, I said lets see if this actually works. They kept their word and now we have a beautifully ran system.

Exceptional Value and Support

Very impressed with Heath/Andrew/Charlotte and all their support getting our current booking database imported and live on-line in less than 2 weeks !

PROS

The fact that this software allows for 100% contact free bookings with Calendar availability and site selection included, PCI compliant credit card transactions, plus a professional looking landing page.. We were really impressed. The training and implementation team were very good at showing the ease of use and the effects of changes made to the portal.

CONS

Not much to say, other than the use of openstreet maps was the only drawback, but it is still very usable.

That we don’t have direct contact of support team. You have to email and wait for them to get back to you later on. In case of emergency there is not help.

Good value!

Our overall experience with Campground Booking has been good. It’s the first software we used as owners and it did help, going from our own random Excel spreadsheet system. If they could get a handle on some of the design flaws it would go from good to great.

PROS

Campground Booking is easy to use and learn. We like that it is web-based so the owners can use it from wherever they are and still be on the same page as the camp hosts at the park. The price point is great, with being free for us and only charging guests $5/reservation. The customer support staff is friendly.

CONS

Our main frustration with Campground Booking has been the slow turnaround time with fixes. They are a small company so we realize there are limitations to what can be done but we’ve waited/are waiting months and months for fixes that impact our bottom line. They recently expanded some so hopefully that starts to help.

CampgroundBooking System has made our lives easier!

We have been using the CampgroundBooking system for about a year, and we have never been happier! Our old booking system created more work than necessary in the office, but that vanished with the features of this platform. We are throughly impressed by the ease, accuracy, and very appealing nature of the system. We found that our costumers where increasingly satisfied with the straight forward way of booking. Our email and call rates plummeted, which made the management of the office much more efficient (and lifted the intense daily stress during the peak season.) Overall, we find that the dashboard, reports and accounts are incredibly useful tools for cashing out, keeping track of our bookings and charging our campers for extra add-ons. We highly recommend this reservation system for anyone in the campground industry.

PROS

We love the fact that campers can take a look at availability, choose their own site and pay in full before arrival. We also find that the "Repots" function is incredibly helpful for quick updates about what's happening with sites, reservations and payouts to our bank account. Overall the system has such a variety of options and functions that we where able to personalize our account, and create a system that works for our business. The team working on this is absolutely stellar! Costumer service is very quick to answer any questions, we get frequent updates on what's new (and what's in the works) for the platform, and most of our requests are heard and added on to our account.

CONS

I would have to say that I'm absolutely satisfied with the service and the product. There are 2 features that would work for our campground, but not exactly sure if it would be beneficial for everyone else. I would like to add the option of having a minimum number of people to each individual site. This would help us, since our site sizes vary a lot, and we usually have a minimum number of people to be able to book a specific site. We would also add the option for the costumer to cancel the reservation on their own, and just have our system update. However, since we have 2 cancelation policies, it would be hard to apply the the partial refund or no refund depending on when they canceled their reservation.

Our method was creating too much unnecessary work for the office staff. It spiked our stress levels, and created errors that could have been avoided. We had way too many call and email inquires specially during the peak season. We had to have a person constantly checking the emails for new bookings, and this did not allow for proper and efficient processing in the office. The CampgroundBooking platform resolved all of our problems with a very appealing, simple and complete way to manage the reservations.

Simply To Use, Simply to Implement

The software hosts and tracks all of the booking in a single location. We have lots of other information we have to track in our other areas of business and being able to provide our guests with all the information they need to know for their stay succinctly is appreciated.

PROS

We are an Arts and Culture organization that was able to diversify our revenue streams by venturing into the campground industry. The events we execute and the software that is used for this is complex so to us the software developed by Campground Booking was very easy implement and use. The staff hired to use this software was not as adept with complex software but has had no trouble using this product. The process of booking and tracking a campground reservation is not complex but does covers all the requirements. The structure of our costs for the program are very nice and appreciated with only a fair upfront cost for set up and training, then our guests cover the ongoing costs with their reservation leaving us the ability to use our profits to cover our expenses and do site upgrading.

CONS

The reports are not very useful. They are extremely simplistic and don't really allow for any various of information to use in analysis. This area could use serious attention and would greatly benefit the business side of a campground.

We chose Campground Booking because we felt it covered all the bases for our operation, looked to be simple to use and was cost effective. What we found was it did cover all the bases, is simple to use, was cost effective and the bonus was the amazing customer support. Proactively we are contacted periodically to see if we need help with something and when we've reached out for assistance, they are always prompt to respond and help bring resolution to our query. As a person with well over 30 years of customer service, it's easy to tell good service, really good service, and smoke :). Campground Booking provides really good service.

Customer Service Top Notch, The software delivers what they promised and More!

I especially like the best is that campers are choosing sites that will fit their size of unit. I didn't have that option with the software I was using before. Since now only sites that will fit the unit are made available when customer is making a reservation. The pictures and Map are great.

PROS

The sales and support team is the best around. I have used other programs in the last 15 years running a campground. Campgroundbooking has a system to make sure you are comfortable. I worked collaboratively with them to get everything up and running. Anytime I needed clarification they don't hesitate to jump on video chat . The launching of the system when we opened this season for reservations was actually fun and exciting . They follow up to check how things are going and give tips to make the most of the software on your webpage and to fine tune it to get more visits to booking ratio. I highly recommend this software. For Novice or Experienced Reservations Software users. No matter your experience. My customers have loved the change to this interface and have said the as the end user is super easy to make a booking.

CONS

I would like the ability to have remote check in . Where the camper can sign the online terms from their own laptop or mobile device by signing in check in. As well as remote check out. I would also like the ability to text the camper from the program . I have found a work around on this so I can text the camper from the program now.

I met with the owner and his support staff on zoom and they had all the right answers and features . This software was also promoted by BC Lodging and Campground Association. I also like the POS they use Stripe this was a huge factor.

was not happy with Point of Sale banking they were changing to. The company sold and the support was not consistent. I used the product for two years and the changes they were making did not improve the experience.

I have been extremely satisfied with this system. The implementation process was smooth thanks to [sensitive content hidden]. I've been very happy with the help I've received when issues or questions do arise.

PROS

I like to efficiency. Immediate ability to know our availability and make a reservation. I like to online payment as well. Makes it easy to track.

CONS

I wish it was easier to locate the information. It feels like I have to go to too many places to gather all the information on the reservation. I wish it was more customizable as well.

Campground booking was online where the other system was older and we weren't paying for that option. We also switched because of the incentive that was offered and have been thrilled that we've switched!

My introduction to campground booking

Allowing for online booking to our customers and the daily management of the campsite bookings

PROS

The ease of use and customer support worked out great for us. Being new users to the program meant a lot of learning in a short time frame, this software made the learning curve manageable

CONS

Having an overview of the campground and which sites that are available was a complaint that our visitors did ask for. being able to see the sites and dates that they could book would make the booking process easier.

Excellent Software for Campground Reservations

The team that has helped us get going has been phenomenal. They are attentive and resolve any issues we run into quickly and efficiently. We are really enjoying this system and it’s working really well for us so far.

PROS

I like the flexibility the program offers. We were able to customize it to fit our needs as a small campground. It gives us control of the features we need most and still allows us some freedom in other areas.

CONS

The software is very user friendly. We went from paper books to this online system. We are still working on full integration but so far it’s been a pretty smooth transition..
