Great Quality Management Application
I am a little frustrated with my company, there is a lack of consideration for upgrading and providing the best user experience. We are many versions behind, and there is resistance to request support to upgrade after our Oracle DBA left our company several years ago. OTHERWISE, Great Product, I would recommend to ANYONE.
PROSModules connected, and interfaced with ERP, HIGHLY auditable, no hiding data, very logical setup
CONSOur version 7.5.2 (old version) is still client/server architecture, and has some bugs (that have ALL been corrected by Tip in later versions), somewhat bulky, and has some glitches with Windows 10 (not certified for Windows 10).

at the time (1999 lol), ease of use, and much better interface.

The best QMS
Always responsive customer support. Extremely configurable, perhaps too much so.
PROSTransparency of database, ability to see/use the underlying data. Ability to write custom loads for data.
CONSDatabase lacking constraints/keys (real PK, not just PK in name only). Disparate behavior between modules. Disposition of defects. Our BU/process still wants to disposition items and that creates vey messy data and stupid workarounds.

Already in place, proven. We've been encouraged to switch to Solumina but the users/administrators resisted as solumina just does not deliver the level of detail that they have grown accustomed and it was simply not an option.

Review of TIPQA
TIPQA has helped streamline Nonconformance processes here, needs to be effectively deployed in order to reap all the benefits. there are a lot of capabilities, but difficult to teach how to implement.
PROSNonconformance module captures a lot of data. querying and data visualization are TIPQA's strongpoint, you are able to know exactly what happened with audit trails and can limit access with security group/application settings
CONSuser interface is non-intuitive (very hard to train how to use to someone who never used before or are not software inclined), software bugs happen often, especially in SFE.

TIPQA
The biggest problems we are solving are related to going paperless.
PROSThe breath of functionality and integration that is available with the ability to operate as a Supplier Management application is what I like most. The software does offer choices for level of control in many areas of QMS management. TIPQA provides an updated "electronic software solution" for most QMS systems that a currently using standard forms and quality records completed using paper.
CONSSeveral major softawre problems that cause non compliances for AS, ISo, etc such as sample sizes going to zero, part master attributes not populating, cost not properly updating and file attachments not working. Also, several of the really nice features are very limited as they were designed for a targeted purpose. The use of feedback from other customers as well as slightly more thought and commitment from the TIPQA side could have allowed for the development of very useful and sellable features. The transition to TIPQAWEB and the onboarding of new customers has become distracting of TIPQA resource, support, and priority.

TipQA Review
We are coming out of the paper world where everything was on hard copy.
PROSThe convenience of having all the quality records in one place and ease of access.
CONSWhen configuring the software I don't like that you have to add or remove items one at a time instead of selecting and highlighting a selection and deleting all at once. Such as changing audit criteria, one at a time has to be removed instead of a line of items.

Klunky and not intuitive
TipQA creates problems....with people, with data entry and with analytics
PROSHard to find a positive. Even this review made me add on extra characters to this cell before i could submit the review. I imagine the software developer for TipQA designed this survey as well
CONSNot user friendly. Not customizable. Doesn't integrate well with existing systems. Requires a lot of energy to incorporate and maintain/keep updated. Crashes a lot if search is too extensive. Little to no integrated statistics using the data captured. Awful overall.

Not a timely solution
I like having all of our supplier management information in one location.
CONSThe slow availability of the portal solution which is causing us to build our own in-house solution. We also have a difficult time changing/adding fields needed to customize for other areas of our business.
