Must Needed Tool For Bulk Edits on Large Catalogs

We have a very extensive catalog, so it was quite an effort to get up and running. I imagine most merchants will have a much easier time getting set up, pending the amount of data points they currently have. The Jasper team has been very supportive in this transition and was very helpful with any questions that arose.

PROS

Jasper has given us bulk edit tools that are not present in some of the most popular e-commerce platforms. We needed to have the ability to make bulk edits to a large number of products regularly, and Jasper has met that need. Jasper makes it very easy to grow into the software, and most features can be configured or added by the user.

CONS

There is a lot of potential on the dashboard and a lack of customizability of what is shown. It would be great to be able to pick and choose which attributes to show and hide on some of the main screens to prevent yourself from having to open a product or search for one to find the data/attribute you are looking for. Search also needs some improvement, there are some great filters present, but they seem to be 'picky' in showing you results that match them.

Reason for choosing Jasper PIM

The cost was a big factor. Some of the other platforms packaged too many auxiliary features into the price when we were just looking for a solid framework for a PIM. Jasper was also recommended by multiple sources at BigCommerce who is our primary cart. We were looking to partner with someone who took BigCommerce as seriously as we do.

Time Saver

I was able to set-up in in minutes with no help. After registration I started my free trial and within 15 mins I was publishing my products to one of Shopify stores. Our development costs have been significantly been reduced. We now just develop our Shopify theme and we use the metafields the PIM sends to Shopify customise the product pages.

PROS

Importing our catalog from spreadsheets worked well. Being able to manage multiple Shopify stores at the same time is saving us hours each day and allowing us to launch new products faster than ever. Love that we can manage all product pricing for each channel from the one system. Changing product prices is quick and having it immediately sync out to all our stores is allowing us to be more adaptive with our pricing which has resulted in increased sales. Being able to create completely different product types with different attributes was huge for us. We are now managing 3 completely different catalogues in the one system and publishing them out to their own channels. Managing each stores categories and relating products to each other by our custom relation types is simple and has helped my team immensely.

CONS

Although there is documentation for a lot of features I have found not every feature has been documented and when new features are added I only find them by accident. Better video tutorials are needed and step by step examples would help greatly. Inventory Management is one way. If there was a back flow from Shopify to the PIM it would solve all our problems right now. But we've been told we can use the pim api which we plan to do soon.

Reason for choosing Jasper PIM

We tried a few PIM but set-up was easier in Jasper. Also the costs taking into account development costs where significantly cheaper and even if we decided after a few months Jasper didn't work for us, our costs were in the hundreds rather than in the thousands like with the other options we saw.

A PIM solution that will grow with your business

I enjoy working with the Jasper team. We have structured our communication to be on regular intervals so we can stay on top roadmap goals (for example, this year we have two sales channels: Shopify and BigCommerce) which has helped us progress projects quicker and stay on top of new updates so we can grow our company.

PROS

That it's flexible enough to provide a solution for both internal workflows and external sales channels. I like how the technology is not static and often looks for ways to improve through best practices within the consumer sales industry.

CONS

Due to the amount of customizations we have, it can be challenging to pinpoint issues quickly.

Reason for choosing Jasper PIM

We felt like Jasper had experience working with our ERP (Microsoft Great Plains) AND the ecommerce platform (BigCommerce). They were willing to customize a few pain points to make systems sync faster to minimize the internal duplication of workflow on our side.

We needed something that would continue to evolve and work with our ERP and ecommerce platforms.

Best PIM for Shopify stores I tried!

I love it and it has made my job a lot easier. I use it for managing 7 webshops in different languages with different currencies. With Jasper I can easy control all products in all webshops, and it have made it a lot easier for me to scale to new markets and countries!

PROS

The integration with Shopify are amazing, and you can get going so much faster than other PIM systems. I tried 5 other before ending up with Jasper.

CONS

The dashboard is missing some personalization and maybe a form of statistics and gamification. However, I know they are constantly working to improve this.

Reason for choosing Jasper PIM

The onboarding was way better. It is such an important software, so the external team you work with is just as important.

Easy to use and cost efficient

PROS

We have a set up that connects the Jasper PIM with several Shopify stores. Jasper PIM was easy to set up and helped us to save time and money. This PIM allows us to launch new regional websites with ease.

CONS

Compared to other, more expensive products, this PIM has less features. Digital Asset Management could be better.
