Pros/Cons
Pros
- It helps to organize, classify, standardize, and publish and share your products. In addition, it is easy to use, intuitive and visually attractive and friendly.
- A great product with a comprehensive and effective support service is rare to find, and Sales Layer has been a happy surprise.
- The software includes a variety of channels, and the instant catalog feature is great for us. The customer service is also fantastic, and the chat makes requests for help very easy.
Cons
- It was hard to figure out our problems by ourselves with their support tutorials, which can be a bit limited.
- One of the worst companies I've ever worked with.
- When adding new images into the library againsts a product you have to add then one at a time. Having a multi select option would cut down the time it takes especially when adding 5-6 images.
Pros
- It's easy to use and great for organizing, tagging, and retrieving your digital assets. It's also very scalable, which is nice.
- It is the perfect combination of OOTB design and customization opportunity such that any company can implement this product to fit their needs while not feeling overwhelmed.
- Overall, this is a great tool to share all our many photos and visual assets. It creates a nice visual and the download options are great.
Cons
- Inability to connect to SAP (for now). Privacy features are a little confusing to understand and implement, making it harder to bring people into the system.
- I know that this has to do with the upload metadata and probably is related to user error. Perhaps if there was a more automated way to add search criteria when uploading, this wouldn't be an issue.
- Hard to do advanced searching with filters—they work in kind of a frustrating way that's hard to explain succinctly.
