CommunityRoot is an amazing app
Great experience overall - hence why we've been a customer for 5 years now. Great customer service and definitely the most complete product for our daycare needs.
PROSCommunityRoot is so helpful with actually running (registering, billing, etc..) the programs we run. Sometimes we have monthly or annual programs that parents subscribe to, but we also have one-off programs we want to let parents register for. This was the only program that had the ability to handle both - whether the payment plan was subscriptions, daily/one-off tuition fees or having things like one-time discounts and registration fees. Also, the customer success manager, [sensitive content hidden] who works with us is super helpful and knowledgeable on the product. She's always responsive.
CONSI think they're going in this direction, but I wish they had more photo sharing capability so that we can share pictures with parents via mobile app. We're currently using tadpoles for that piece, but as soon as CommunityRoot adds that (assuming they do), we'll probably drop tadpoles.
Reason for choosing CommunityRoot
Same reason we left procare - brightwheel was a cool product but still couldn't handle the various types of programs we run (summer programs, special events days, classes with 2-5 day a week kids with capacity limits)
Reasons for switching to CommunityRoot
Procare was too much of a square peg in a round hole. It couldn't accomodate the programs we were running for our parents from a registration and billing perspective.

Terrible Product Even Worse Customer Support
The list of things I dislike about this company/software could go on forever. False statements made while when inquiring about the software to get me to purchase, kicking people out of the system when payment is supposed to process, recurring billing not working, lack of customer support (24 hour support is promised, don't believe it), days would go by without receiving a response for support I had to contact their Facebook, the number that was listed on the website no longer worked, and more. Most of my issues were payment processing which is the main reason I require registration software. Towards the end the issues became customer service issues it would be practically impossible to get a hold of anyone in the company. The CEO of all people was my main contact and he did not care to address the issues I faced with the system or customer support. Overall this software has made my job more difficult and I have had to use our in-house square reader. The people in the company do not care at all to fix the issues or attempt to, they do not even bother responding. I do not recommend.
