A window in to my child's life
Being a parent this is a great solution to see how your child is doing at nursery.The pros for me are the ease of communication with not only the different nursery departments but the option to send a message to a particular member of staff.
CONSI can't really think if any cons with the software, my wife and I have been using the software over 3 years and it's been spot on all the time.

Definitely would recommend
Brilliant! Transferring over from our previous software to Famly was initially nerve racking as we didn't want to lose any data, unsure if the new software would suit our needs and the biggest hurdle, we would all have to learn a new system all over again! But the training given was brilliant, clear and effective. Famly staff were always on hand to answer any questions and guide us when needed. Our staff are now confident and use the software daily with no problems at all.
PROSTraining sessions available to cover all aspects. Famly staff are really friendly, very polite, approachable and always on the other side of the phone, e mail or help desk if needed. The software is easy to use, there are great features that our previous software didn't have.
CONSTraining sessions only lasted max 30min, would have been great to have a longer time slot.

We were not given any other offer by First Steps - Famly was taking them and their customers over as part of their deal.

First Steps were retiring so we were automatically transferred to Famly

Almost every week too many unnecessary changes are made to the layout of the software.Ignorance of customers.Years of waiting for software important updates without a positive response
PROSGood question. I'm getting more and more fed up with this software every day.
CONSFinance section, calculation, analysis, occupancy reports, finance reports.

Was 2018 and was a lack of other alternative software on the market these days.But now is 2023 and we have a choice to choose a professional software provider.
Reasons for switching to Famly
Connect - was not a software prepared for nurseries. Too many mistakes in the calculations of invoices.

I cant brag about this company enough! From our initial meeting to now, [sensitive content hidden] has been nothing less than amazing! He went above and beyond to extend support, because of my crazy schedule, and I really appreciate it! If you are a childcare owner this is the app everyone needs! YOU WONT BE SORRY!

Great product
Ease of use. Adhoc booking systems takes seconds, Learning journey are easy to complete.
CONSFee funding can be tricky for our setting. Connection with WCBS as our main payment system is tricky.

Previous product outdated, did not have good parent communication system, clunky to use.
