Clearstream is made for ministry!

Excellent. My church's boys club uses Clearstream to schedule parent communication via both email and text messages.

Pros:

The ability to send blast text (SMS) messages, in particular the ability to scheduled them ahead of time! This is very, very valuable, as SMS has a much higher read rate than email.

Cons:

Dealing with false optouts is a little clunky. Emails who optout can resubscribe, but only by opening a past email. There should be a way to send an email so somebody can resubscribe.

Reasons for switching to Clearstream

ClearStream can send mass texts as well as email. It allows me to schedule email and texts, too.

Amazing service for church communication

Clearstream has been phenomenal. Great features, great customer service, and high quality products. Very grateful to have this company for our communication needs!

Pros:

Clearstream has made mass communication incredibly easy for our church. The monthly cost is affordable and gives us access to all the tools we need. We absolute love the tap tags as well! Data tracking was an issue for us, but Clearstream’s data tracking has given us such helpful information about our communication processes. Specifically, the mass email feature and its link tracking, unsubscribed report, etc. Data tracking is SO convenient.

Cons:

The pricing breakdown of text credits was not the most upfront. We were excited to use images, links, emojis, etc for our mass texts, but the cost to include those things in a mass message was more than we expected. Still a great option to have. If a chart is not already published somewhere, that would be a helpful addition to the price breakdown.

We still use Planning Center for our overall church management, but the communication capabilities were too fragmented, data not as helpful. Clearstream has been a pivotal integration for us.

We love the integration of Clearstream with Planning Center. It's easy for our staff to pull lists and target our communications to specific groups.

Cons:

Trying to stay within our credit limit. We would love the ability to send more photos, graphics, etc and not use up so many credits.

More robust capabilities, could utilize across more ministries, integration with Planning Center, cost, etc.

Pros:

We replaced another service with Clearstream. Our old service offered only mass-texting, but for the same price we were able to add a web presence and support for tap tags.

Cons:

I don’t really like that the limited number of messaging credits expire and are replenished monthly. I’d rather get a fixed number of credits, and purchase more when I use them Up.

Reasons for choosing Clearstream

It seemed like a fully-integrated and easy to set-up solution. The microsite is a very good fit for our needs, although I wish Notes would support html tags, and not just hyperlinks.

Reasons for switching to Clearstream

On two occasions, when I had a critical need to send a text out to the congregation, I signed in only to find my account disabled. Once was because the credit card had expired (even though no payment was due) and another was when they decided to do a features update, and decided the best way to implement it was to force everybody onto a new platform. It just seemed like they were really disconnected from the real needs of people using their system.

Clearstream is the best contact management system for churches

We use it for daily emails and text to our church. Each ministry uses it to stay in touch with notifications about upcoming events and needs. Our old contact management system was failing because not everyone was receiving the texts and emails that we sent out.

Pros:

It is easy to set up and use. When we started using Clearstream, we were connected to our whole church within minutes and were able to send text and emails to everyone. It is far easier to use than any other contact management system that we tried, including MailChimp and others.

Cons:

I cannot think of anything. The system has met every one of our needs and we were able to start using it the same day that we loaded our contacts into the system.

The ease of texting our members was the #1 driving force that made us choose Clearstream

Reasons for switching to Clearstream

Mailchimp was hard to use. The features we needed were not easy to access.

We've been using ClearStream for about three months. Customer service was helpful and responded quickly as I had questions setting up a workflow. The best thing for us is the planning center integration.

Clearstream was extremely easy to get started with. I appreciate the planning center integration, as I can message from ClearStream to planning center lists or message straight from planning center.

Cons:

Not a real criticism, but it would help out if you had some pre-made workflows set up that we could copy into our account.

Ease of use, cost, and planning center integration were the main deciding factors for us.

Gloo's change in pricing led us to look for a lower cost option.

Everyone at Clearsteam has been great to work with. \[sensitive content hidden\] have been so helpful. I can't say enough about the responsiveness from the team at Clearstream. I wish all my vendors were that way.

Cons:

No Cons at this point, and I dont see that there could be. Every promise they have made has been kept.

“I love how easy it is to navigate and use all of its features. It’s also so well integrated with Planning Center, which makes connecting and communicating with our church members simple and effective.”

Cons:

There’s not much I would see as a con, but if I had to pick one then it would be lack of some features the app has compared to the browser such as being able to send a note in a text from the app

Refreshing way to communicate with the congregation.

Overall this has been very well received by our congregation. They like being able to add the number to their contacts and bypass potential spam and we like that it does not have to come from an individuals phone number. Meeting our needs very well.

Face-up the application is very user friendly. I especially like being able to schedule messages so items are not missed.

Cons:

The church that referred us to Clearstream had led us to believe there was a free version. I have not found that to be the case. Also, it is annoying that each time I sign in I get bombarded with the chat agents trying to solicit some sort of interaction. Unnecessary.
