Pros:

Bitnami is opensource and as so setup cost is drastically reduced, interface is very user friendly even for new users. Bitnami also works great offline for when one does not have an internet connection.

Cons:

I am yet to find something I do not like about Bitnami, works as advertised so far.

Going Offline in Wordpress has never been better

I like the idea that this gives me ease in doing my blog project and has all the things a Wordpress user needs. I work with a lot of multimedia elements which I intend to incorporate in my blog and this is great as I haven't encountered any nuisances in creating it. Overall, a big thumbs up to the developers of this tool. Cheers!

Pros:

Bitnami is really a great tool for Wordpress and accessing it offline. Because right now, I am building my own blog site and it is a good thing I can preview it already on a browser without even publishing. As a beginner in Wordpress, it takes a lot of time to get to know the codes, plugins and the themes which works best for the intended output. As opposed to drag and drop website builders like Wix and Simplesite, which are convenient to use if you want to avoid learning a bit of technical stuff, this tool allows you to literally mess around especially with the codes without even affecting the real website you are intending to build. Like me, I go through a lot of revisions especially when new ideas come up, and this works perfectly too without any issues for browsers that I've tried with (Edge, Chrome, Opera, and Firefox) when doing the preview. In addition, installing those Wordpress plugins and themes doesn't seem to affect its performance.

Cons:

So far, I'm not seeing any cons as I never had any crashes using it., it is not consuming RAM usage, and it is compatible with most of the browsers I tried.

Reasons for choosing Bitnami

I chose Bitnami out of curiosity over Wordpress offline. Also, the installation process for Xampp is a bit complicated, and at that time installing other modules like Apache and MySQL to accomplish it seems to me is another task I need to learn and familiarize. I didn't push thru with it as I was too eager to jump in right away and build my own blog.

I have used Bitnami products, it is guaranteed quality.

Bitnami products are recommended, especially software access to the Apache and Tomcat servers. I've used them and they provide very good server application management tools.

Cons:

Its use is limited, it provides products of small size and robustness. I wish you to expand your portfolio.

Simplified web technologies management, solving varying user needs

We use bitnami to do local deployments and also to get started with specific web technologies that will later be pushed to live productions servers. So far we've found youd be hard pressed to find an easier system to get quickly started, especially if you intend to do a demo or test.

This is simply the easiest way to deploy locally, online web technologies and also get started with their management.

Cons:

Alot of the settings have been tied down to simplify use , so if you are looking for fine grained controls it is not quite appropriate

My best WordPress offline installer

Bitnami has greatly improved my delivery time for designing websites for my clients as i can do so with ease offline and export online and also i can efficiently install and and edit web scripts on my local host and work on it.

Pros:

With over 5 years in web design and development i must say bitnami is one of the best offline installers for wordpress i have used for my clients. i can do alot of things and even install a web script with ease. Bitnami also provide an excellent platform to work offline on my websites. An amazing thing also about bitnami is the ease of use as it doesn't require a full knowledge of web development before use.

Cons:

I use bitnami a lot and i must say the cost for their pro offers are discouraging, and also the pricing isn't the cheapest amongst offline web installers and you can find an offline local host a for a better price in the market.

Pros:

I love that it made life easier for me when I wanted to deploy certain apps on the cloud. Not only did they offer a great trial plan, but their monthly plan was not a burden on my resources. Time can be an issue if I need to deploy something on the cloud and I don't feel like spending time configuring it. Earlier I would look around for solutions trying to find an easy way or fixes for errors. It's super easy for anyone to deploy.

Cons:

I wish it had a larger catalogue so my life would be easier but at least I get something out of it. It can be quite expensive if you have a larger operation. Basically, it's one of those which has little flaws.

Bitnami for Drupal

Very very useful if you are templating your basic profile of a Virtual machine for drupal distribution.

Pros:

Centos is where i began my Drupal installation and ended up using Bitnami for the best results. it was quick effective, configuration was easy via the console. It Happens so that bitnami also has a version for Windows which makes it more easier for people used to windows.

Cons:

The Configuration is a big large scale value array constituting Drupal, Apache, mySQL . It needs to be a bit more organized.

Allowed me to test a lot of software without buying a lot of equipment

Bitnami saves me hours from setting up a server to the correct specs in order to test-drive software. What takes hours/days takes minutes.

Pros:

In my company, we're always exploring new software packages to see if it can be rolled out company wide. Server software/applications require specific settings to work properly, and I can't spend an hour just to set it up. Bitnami makes it super easy to deploy.

Cons:

No real cons! The Cloud Hosting is pretty expensive compared to competitors, but that one-click application installation makes it worth it.

Easy to use cloud application local installer

We had to develop a wordpress theme for our website so we choose bitnami wordpress stack. It did the Job

Pros:

easily install cloud apps on diffrent devices. It also supports migrating local to cloud which is very useful when publishing locally build wordpress website.

Cons:

the apache server shutsdown many times and you have to restart it which should be taken care of else all is okay with bitnami
